  1. Bloody computer servers It is Swedish , Nuke Performance twin Walbro internal pump
  2. Thanks for the info but a bit late I had stated a few times on SAU I would get a surge tank with the work to finish my build, mainly due to blokes saying , get one installed, for the cost of a surge tank, it is a good safety addition for the car to make sure the motor does not have a problem because of surge. But now I am not sure if I should just put it on the shelf , sell it or have it installed
  3. Since I started doing work on the car someone would always pop up and ask if I have installed a surge tank, or not to drive it hardish under 1/4 full without one. I did not think I would need a surge tank but at times I do let it go under 1/4, stuffed if I know
  4. Thats a worry, I thought that it is the most common setup. A continuous fuel smell would drive me nuts. I would have thought if they are done properly there would be no fuel smell unless there was a leak of some sort
  5. I wonder if anyone has any knowledge of the Nuke Performance Surge Tanks ?
  6. If I do not try, I will never know About time you got out of bed
  7. This is what makes it hard for me to comment, I have driven one with a big single, smaller single and a 3.2. BUT I want to drive a standard R34GTR and the next time I go to Sydney I am going to find a car yard that has one and go for a drive in it.
  8. Good to see you are OK, couple of blokes got stabbed up your way last night from a party
  9. Did you see me, man I am good, go to 9:42 I had to slow down to let him past Enjoyed the Vid again
  10. Jez, looking forward to see what he can do , he seems like a nice bloke and it is closer to home
  11. Don;t be hard on yourself Fatz , I am sure we can all manage a little more dumber, we are blokes Duncan, we are still talking about Skylines , driving and our preferences for many things . It may not always be technical or how fast you can go around a track, up a hill or some great build or anything that interests you. It is just a bit of talk that has dragged on because my build went tits up Hadouken, I have had some good feedback , thanks. For anyone interested in the result , it is booked in for the 17th I will post the results and what was done to fix the car ASAP
  12. I have a great idea, come back in about 3 weeks and hopefully it will be closed, Dyno up , THE END !
  13. Going in next week angry, so hold on a bit longer lol I need to get a life as well, not a lot left
  14. haha, mate if you took SAU personally, you would neck yourself My 26 was shit but I have always said it was and that I have never driven another R , so I did not know the difference. But I knew they had to be better than mine or no one would buy the heaps of shit! I have since seen many 26s in Vids that look great and go hard, all good You can drive any car regardless of how responsive it is like a Hurst if you want to ? Go too hard you could use it as a Hurst, save a few $s
  15. Mate whatever makes you happy, just like me Read your post, = "I suppose I don't like setups that are surgy and responsive that makes for a nervous and less livable drive for daily duties, for me anyway." My car is pretty quiet , but I will wait and see what it sounds like when I get it back and then I will look to see if I need to change mufflers , Mick said mine is pretty good . I do not hoon around and do enjoy a quiet drive in a fast car and that is what I have now. But I like to play without revving the shit out of it to get it off the line, that is a bad look for a DD and would rather be able to get going from idle, well close to idle ? I can go back to the start of all of this and Scotty said my motor is not like my TT350GT with a torquey 3.5L new age motor and I thought I understood what he said, but not totally , I have learnt a little since then and should have shut my mouth, sorry Scotty I could have used some help from you, read a lot of you posts and you are a wealth on knowledge
  16. It was the T78 turbo and combine that with an OS Quad clutch, it was a great DD, NOT!
  17. If I want to putter around, I drive my Tiida , why would I spend this sort of $s to putter around and you can still drive a responsive car slowly, use a light foot and they are great , well I think so and that is all that matters , for me ? Surgy and responsive makes you nervous, how farking old are you. Do you want to buy my Tiida ?
  18. It was 338awkw with a T78 screwed on when I bought it and it was shit as a DD. After puttering around in this for more than a week I needed a rope and a tree. This was not a normal RB26 R34GTR, it was modified and I am sure a standard R34GTR would have been so much better as a DD.
  19. You have to excuse me if I do not get the humor ,I am an old man and of course you need to REV it to get it going, but mine , even now, not so much ? I remember this car as a 26 when I needed to get the passengers out to help push it for a step hill start, it was so funny watching them scurrying to try to get back in
  20. You can putter around if you do not extend the right foot as long as it is not too noisy and when you want to use the response push it when it is appropriate Car will go in next week sometime
  21. These cars were great in 1992 ,we are in 2015 Love them and if you want to keep these heavy Rs up with rest of the DDs, modify them
