  1. Going off the Dyno readings the PSI is dropping off at 150kph, tested it and at 150kph it is 4500rpm in 5th gear. That seems a bit early for it to start to taper off, well to me but I know very little about the workings of turbos/cars etc ??? Oh, and women
  2. And yours has got far more power than mine. That is how I expected my graph to look like, the psi is set and once it reaches the limit it remains there. It is just strange that it drops off before it reaches the 6000rpm where I had the previous problem, but I do not know enough to make a statement, just an observation. This does not mean I am right Also it is not as rich as it was every other time I had a tune , maybe it was a motor safety thing?
  3. This was when I first bought the car, if I did not do 7k it went nowhere. I do around 5k now and that seems pretty good, I also have AD08Rs on and they are pretty soft
  4. Thats what I said I do, I feel the clutch engaging before I take off. Listened to blokes saying take it to 7000rpm and step off, no thanks! I will make it as easy as I can on the driveline
  5. Just get the revs up you want, I get the feel the clutch is engaging, let go and away you go Thought it might be interesting to see the difference ?
  6. I do not think it matters if a car is responsive or not to have launch control, they have it on the GT-Rs and they are very responsive. I see it is easy enough for a mechanic to set it up, so maybe Does it stay active all the time or is there a button/switch to activate it?
  7. Good point, I think the Haltech Plat/Pro has that function, has to be better than some of my efforts, haha When it is done I will do a Vid of a launch, have to give you blokes a laugh after all of this crap
  8. I do enjoy it, but it is not finished and I was always going to do the surge tank and pod cover, just adding the flex tune , well not adding it, I thought it was getting done with the build
  9. Had a look at the FP3582 and 3586 if these are the right 35 models @ 75Lb/min as to the PT6262 @ 74Lb/min. What is the main difference with the FP and PT Turbos , they seem similar?
  10. The only way I will know is when the next work is done and there are results to compare, main test is driving it. The Skyline is something that gets into your blood , why, farked if I really know ???????????
  11. ENOUGH! Going around in circles . I will wait and see what the next work produces and go from there. Thanks for your input everyone
  12. If I knew the answer, I would not ask the question. Your saying other blokes have the same Dyno results as mine, I do not mean the HP, show me one where it tapers off around 5000rpm and the bloke is not asking why, love to see it/them No, it does not drive how I want it, maybe it never will , give me some of your fairy dust
  13. The E85 is just an option. Not going on about the tune and I do not care about the boost level, the question is , why does it drop of. As you know there was a major problem with the tune and it would cough and fart over 6000rpm. I wonder if by dropping the boost off it might be masking the original problem. I ask the builder but did not get an answer why the boost is tapering off by 5.5psi. I find this a fair question to ask and would expect an answer , but ????
  14. Sounds like you are going to have a ton of fun , all the best
  15. What did you want from your car, a lot of blokes here are saying the 6262 is too big to get response, duh? Wish I knew a little more, but time will sort that out and not too long to go
  16. LOL, Talking to a builder that used the 6262 on his 2.6 and it was full boost around 4300rpm
  17. The PT6262 CEA was not put on this 3.2 build, it was done to replace the T78 on the 2.6 and recommended by the builder as it would not be hard to fit to the existing setup. It was much better I left the 6262 on to see if it worked on the 3.2 build , if not, it could always be changed. The flex fuel sensor was an after thought and something my son could use if he wanted. I cannot buy E85 here. While it is on the Dyno they will be able to have a better idea if a different Turbo would do the job better and then choose one to do the job. But I am not taking it off until the new mechanic recommends it. So enough of guessing, time to wait and see, if I have to change the turbo, then you can say, I TOLD YOU SO
  18. You may be right about the pump fuel, but that does not mean it cannot be better down low, it is not much better than when it was a 2.6 apart from the torque until the turbo kicks in I have always said that CRD builds tough motors and gets some big HP going. I asked the question to them 4 days ago why the boost tapers off , I got nothing ? Anyway, I will have it checked out and we will see what the problem is and fix it very soon. Maybe it will go better , maybe it won't ????? But it is still fun to drive
  19. If you are practicing to be a DH, you can stop, the Dux you are     I might be 100% wrong but I believe it should be better than it is. So you think the boost should start tapering off at 5000 ish rpm with the mods I have ??
  20. The motor is fine Ali, just a few touch ups and away we go. You can see the boost drops off from 24psi @ 150kph to 18.5psi @ 250kph ish, at the 381.7kw mark, there is something wrong with this and it will be checked out and fixed. I also think there is more to get down low from a different type tune Going off the Dyno Graph, what do you think the KW would have been if it held the 24psi until the 7000rpm.
  21. I was seriously thinking of using RIPS and he was very helpful but as it turns out Sydney was too far Have seen some of the motors CRD have done and they can be very strong.I think he specializes more in the upper range HP , but ? Have a look on Piglets rebuild, there is a vid of Steve Ka's time attack runs at WTAC 2014, that would get the blood pumping to your low head, haha
  22. See what you are missing with it stuffed away in the garage in the corner, guess you can sneak in and ogle it and whatever
  23. See what I mean Ben, I know nothing Get the same kick out of baked beens
  24. SET WHAT ?, I take it you are joking and pulling my leg ? If not, Do a Pauline, please explain You know that I know nothing much about modifying cars, only what I have been learning while on SAU. I know more now in 18 months than I ever knew about cars and that is not a lot. Up until now, I just buy them, drive them, brakes down someone fixes them, it was easy, only had to have the NRMA card with you
