  1. I have given it some serious thought and came to this conclusion ! STICK THE FARKIN THING IN THE "WHITE WHALE" AND GET YOUR FAT ARSE BACK BEHIND THE WHEEL AND DRIVE IT , ENJOY IT, THEY ARE WORTH NOTHING IN A BOX !!!!!!!!!!
  2. haha, I have trouble holding it now when it gets going
  3. Why not, I guess it is what you think is expensive, poke in a new suitable turbo and maybe different cams dial them in and tune , E85 and away you go. I wish I am not talking a 900 HP car but it should be pretty good I have better expectations for mine as it is set up now and if it does not meet them I will change whatever.
  4. I understood what you said and even the 2.6 that CRD built that was in my car , was strong and rev it's head off, or your head off. I believe the 3.2 motor they built me is as good as most. It seems more blokes want the top end bigger power and I understand why, it is exciting when it kicks in and when you have the revs up. I thought about doing some Hill climb events once the car was 100% and watched some more hill climb vids this morning, that was the end of that idea, they take it pretty serious and rip! Do they have any geriatric events or do they have a different class for the mug drivers ??
  5. ^^^^^^^ If I wanted big power I would have gone bigger bolt ons. After I do the fuel mods and flex tune I can bump it up if I ever wanted without costing and arm and leg, because I have already spent the arm and leg
  6. shoulda coulda woulda, but I didn't and what would I do with 9k , thats why I went this way. I did speak to them earlier but I still needed someone to pull it down and put it together and fix it if shit happens No mate it will all be good, nice looking R that holds the road and goes pretty quick, early
  7. I did not want another car, I like this one! Dead a long time Mate , might as well do one really stupid thing in your life That's why they limit them, so you can check it out when needed .
  8. Before the build I could hit 10k with not trouble, because I was too slow to grab 2nd the first time I booted it Even when the T78 was changed for the 6262 it was limited at 9.5k and no trouble getting there. I could never stop myself from testing it Maybe there is also some cam adjustment for a bit more grunt as I do not need anymore than 7000rpm. Can dialing the cams make much difference for response, there might be something left with a bit of tweaking ??
  9. haha, I am not a Highway hoon and my head is better for radio
  10. I would not often take it past 6000rpm, just a test run to see what happened . Straight line diving, haha See how it goes with the next tune
  11. Just took it to 8000rpm, went freely to 7500 and fell off to 8000, limited at 8000rpm , I was told. So from 3000rpm to 7500 it is pretty good, so 4500rpm to play with , still wasted on me , but love it:) It will be interesting to see what the dyno reading would have been if it could have held 24psi instead of dropping to 18.5 psi ??
  12. Not compared to the T78 in the 2.6 once it kicked in @ 6000rpm and then your head would fall off, so NO. I think after you have had a bigger turbo on, it ruins you a little as far as the initial boost feeling goes Now it is more linear and feels very strong and starts to get going @ 3000rpm but still keeps you in the seat until you take your foot off... I want to take it past 7000rpm. (my kids on holidays and very time consuming I will try to do that this morning just to see what happens, I thought it missed a little around 6500rpm but have not had a chance to confirm it yet?
  13. Yes it was my choice and do not regret it, maybe I was pissed off a few times, but when it is sorted it will go hard to 7500rpm but starts 2000rpm earlier, 900Nm is not too bad . So it is like someone else's car going to 9500rpm, but starting at 5500rpm. I like the idea my motor is not revving its head off. when I first got the car it would go to 10,000rpm +, but  Thanks. Even with the crap I went/going through , it was worth it and it is not over yet, different tuner with a different approach may get more of what I want, if not and it runs freely to 7500 maybe 8000rpm , I will be more than satisfied and it will be more than I need,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I still want it, haha.
  14. Yeah, liked this. I have watched it before and always good for a second or third squiz It does make you want to give it a run
  15. Haha, yeah, that's too far, they say that Jez is pretty good , lets see what he can do
  16. It will all be checked out Joey, there has to be an answer to this
  17. I do not think it is sorted, the way the boost is dropping off, something is wrong. I did not have a chance to do another rirve this morning Doing some other work and then getting a new full 98/E85 Flextune but only after everything checks out .
  18. HKS, EVC 6 boost controller Showed Paul some pics and he said it is looks like the old HKS wastegate ?
  19. I do not know how to stop, haha I will do the mods to finish the build off, I do not like taking a chance with the work that has been done. Do the surge tank and pod cover, plus a AF sensor if needed. The idea of making sure I have 1/2 or 1/4 tank before playing would drive me nuts. I was thinking of trying a bloke in Port Macquarie but do not know anything about the shop. Everything will be checked out, I have spoken to a shop in Gosford about the work and the tune. He seems to have a good reputation and I can get there and back easily, saves time and money
  20. The injectors are ID1300 It is definitely not as rich as it was, but still a little soot comes out on start, pretty normal but nothing like it was since the build , it was heavy. Going to have a AF sensor installed. The Haltech R34 Pro has , Wideband “auto tuning” using user definable target AFR table. Not sure if that is the same function as a sensor ,but the next builder will know I think the boost could have been pulled because it was still farting when the boost remained higher. Just an uneducated guess ? The car will be checked and sorted out before or during the next tune , I am not going back to Sydney to do it. Looking for a shop closer to finalize the work I want done. Until then I will just drive it and have some fun
  21. The limiter is set at 8000rpm. On the first tune @ 8500rpm . The PT6262 CEA is rated over 700HP, some blokes say they get more, why would it stop at 600HP ? When the Turbo was put on he changed to a larger back housing , size ? So the Turbo should be good for at least 700HP ? Could it be the spark ?
  22. He said he cut the boost , but I do not understand that as the last tune was 22psi and this was at 24psi to kick off and dropped off to 18.5 psi? I put the PT6262 CEA Turbo on it as a 2.6l, left it there to see how it goes. Personally I do not care what E85 does , I cannot buy it here, just like having the option and would love to feel the difference from pump .
