  1. From what was said there was no noticeable power gains with the addition of the larger dump pipe, said he took the exhaust off and there was some good gain. Very disappointing at this stage but as long as it is going hard to 7500-8000rpm without farting and I do not have to top up every day, all good
  2. I can only assume it was that hose, it must have only leaked under load as I could not see it and they had a apparently noticed some scum or something but it did not show up until after a long time under pressure ??

  4. True, but it is a list of what they did to prepare the block, I was surprised at some of the things they have to do to get it ready.

They are going to do a few more tests and I should know by Friday Just hope I got one of the good ones, they did all sorts of tests on my RB30 block, like below ENGINE MACHINE WORK INCLUDING HOT TANK BLOCK, ACID WASH , BORE AND HONE , BALANCE ENGINE COMPONENTS. DECK BLOCK, MACHINE BLOCK FOR O/S HEAD STUDS, MACHINE WORK FOR AWD ADAPTOR AND ENGINE BRACE KIT. MACHINE SUMP RAIL TO TRUE UP ENGINE BLOCK.,RELIEVE ENGINE BLOCK FOR 3.2LTR STROKER ENGINE. 1.000 SONIC TEST AND XRAY ENGINE BLOCK TO TEST FOR SUITABLITY Sounds like they did their best
  6. Thanks Mark, now my head is exploding thinking about anther 5 months getting the motor re built No problems, I will be picking it up VERY soon and looking forward to a little spirited driving to see how it is running

  9. Not yet James, had an email this morning saying it looks like the leak has been fix but they will do some more tests over the next couple of days to be sure . Not sure if they will be doing a new Dyno graph , soon see I guess ? Things are looking up

  11. No mate, its all good fun I have never said I was any type of gun driver, I just like cars had a 911 and a TT300zx I used to push a bit, but I was a kid, 50 year old. Everyone has their preferences , mine is a car that dives like a street car, one that has a bit of grunt from down low. Do not need 3000 idle Ben, is that how you blokes do it. Me at 2500rpm and want to get it going in any gear drop down 1 gear and away you go, LOL But serious it is great on the twisty stuff, so much fun. Not sure you could do the same on tight one lane roads with a T88 or something else that gives you 700 or 800 peaky HP, but I can only guess as I do not drive fast GTRs , just my heap My car is the best fun you can have sitting down, well , a lap dance maybe ?
  12. Whats the good of your car starting to go fast at 6000rpm as a DD, after I picked it up from the first final tune after I bought it , I wanted to sell the heap of shit on the way home. So if you want a little spirited driving as a DD and you have to wind it up to 7000rpm and let it go to beat a Tiida, you can have your fast cars mate. I know they would be good on the track once you have your revs up you can keep them there or drop a gear or 3, try driving like this on the road, give me a farken break. Apart from the obvious problems, the car is "plenty fast" and I do not have to thrash the shit out of the motor to get it there, so all good

  15. 8000 was not enough when it did not get started until 6000rpm with the T78-33D
  16. Mainly because it would not go over 6500rpm, there was no need to do it. Shit load of fun @5500rpm

  18. I know this will sound dumb to you blokes that have driven these cars for yonks, but getting used of a car that revs so high is very strange. This car was limited at 10000rpm, or maybe no limiter,the first time I went over 10000rpm because I was too slow to change up, it went nuts from 6000rpm , hit 10,000 in a flash and I shit myself LOL
  19. ATM it is about ,615HP ish crank. well I think 386 awkw is around 520whp I know I keep saying this, but I still want it to go earlier , so I will wait and see what happens when I give it a run
  20. Not yet, should be sometime this week, if the leak has been sorted, should know tomorrow and maybe it will be tuned then ?

I am not sure how it works but the PT6262 CEA is rated at over 700HP and this is only running around 520HP @ 22psi so I do not think it is running out of puff, might need some boost to get the 6262 going harder , do I need more boost, I do not think so,but it would be interesting to see how it goes But as you said, it will be all I want if the dump gives a little more response and it only matters when you are driving it.
