Yeah Brent/ Joey, next Monday and looking forward to get it back in A1 condition. 400+ I doubt it. I am not getting the new work done yet, I just want the problems fixed ASAP and move on. As to when when it will be finished, guess it depends if they start straight away or not and if they are willing to give it the attention the job deserves. They should be able to have it done within a week or they are not trying , so time will tell

I have no control over what someone else writes . That would mean anyone can go on a thread, crap on some company and the thread gets closed. Edit the post, not close a thread. I mention what is wrong with my car, but always say I have no problem with my "builder" ( no name) , I say shit happens and they will be fixing the problems, I never mention anyone's name and purposely do not put shit my on anyone but I can be unhappy about my situation , it is farking frustrating when you spend a shit load of $s and it is not right to drive after 8 months.. Goes in next week and hopefully that will be the end of this, well except I will be finishing the build at some stage and like to post the results

Yes you are right, probably my fault bringing it up, but it is difficult when blokes ask what is happening not to vent a little frustration. I think it all goes back from day one and the way the job was handled from the getgo and then it all went tits up after the build was completed. But it goes in next Monday , so it will be interesting to see how it comes back, these blokes are good mechanics and I believe they will sort it out . Yeah , I have been pissing myself laughing for a few months now, when will it stop , my tummy hurts from laughing I had NO knowledge at all about modifying a car. That is why I used a shop with a pretty good reputation. But I do not consider myself totally stupid, 2 jobs before were fine,price as quoted and on time. I put it down to shit happens and it can be fixed, so no probs in the long run

you know how to hurt a girl With the cold weather the car does not like to start, well it starts and you have to keep on it for a minute or it will konk out. warm, no probs. But over took a slow bloke in the 100 zone in 5th and with load and the motor just died/stopped for a split second as you accelerate , drop off and it kick off again. Revs OK in lower gears up to 6000 rpm ish Busting to have it sorted Do some work Paul

Since I have started working on my car I am in a constant state of confusion I struggle to read Dyno Graphs and how they translate on the road, but if your turbo working at 2500rpm it must be a great DD. I thought mine would do the same and it is only a 6262 compared to your 6466 , stuffed if I can work out how it works What cams are you using ?

haha, if I cannot get what I want from a PT6262 @ 700HP+ for a street car why would I go for a bigger , laggier turbo ? Had the 6262 on before the build and expected it to be going hard around 4000rpm, it does not spool much earlier than before the build, but drives a shit load better with the extra torque on the street but spools around the same as before the build, but with more grunt? I will see what happens when I get it back from the builder after they fix the tune or whatever is wrong with it. If it is still shit after I get it back I will take it to someone else.

Yeah, all good I can afford to get the work done after a lifetime of working I just feel like most Sheila's buying a car and me doing mods, a little out of my element I know I am close to getting it how I want it. I have NOT been changing some of the gear on the car until I find out it is needed to get the best out of it. I do not mean the maximum . Had all of the major work I wanted done at the same time, all the drivetrain done while the motor was out and anything that would be a pain once it all went back together again , well I did not expect the starter motor to be a problem as it was fine before the build ?? Decided to go "over kill" with the fuel situation and do the surge tank, twin Walbros etc before the flex tune. Just the thought of stuffing the donk up because the tank is getting low is not an option for me after going this far Just gotta luv cars

Hi Michael Been reading some of your posts and you seem to know what you are talking about and I would like to get your input if you do not mind. I did not choose the dump or cat, but I am going to change it to a 4" dump and cat. But think I will wait and see if the 3.5" exhaust system I have works in with the changes when I am getting the flex tune done ( hate the idea of tossing $2500 without seeing if it can work). If it is too restrictive I will change it to 4" all the way and finish the tune, I am sure from what I have read 4" all the way would be better, but noisier. Mufflers could sort this out. Have to look into Mufflers now, never stops The other fella

Hi Mitch, I cannot believe the crap that was dumped on me and things being over priced ? It is not all that bad and nothing like getting married , well for the 4th time It seems we are all after different results. Mine is to be able to enjoy my ride and have a shit load of GO! from the getgo! I love the look and history of the R3s GTRs , with the money I have spent I could have bought a newer GTR , but I wanted an R3, ended up with the R34GTR and just loved the feel of the car With my drivetrain mods you should drive this around some twisty stuff, just great.. So , all good

HAHA why do you think I asked, I can cop it , I have been dumped on by experts But you seem to forget, I did not do anything, I knew nothing and took the advice of the builder as far as the exhaust goes , he said put a new custom 3.5: exhaust on the car , I said OK I did not know he had a 3" dump and the old 3" Cat. I will fix that. Fark at that time I did not know what a dump was until you posted this The PT6262 CEA will go over 700HP , this is much more than I have now or expected and yes it was built for response ,and as a stroker a little different than most . I will struggle on, ducking the ton of shit raining down on poor little old me and hopefully end up with what I am after

Who is the other fella and what turbo is he running , so we can compare ?

I think I need a break from going to Sydney after this and will wait and see if they fix the stuff ups properly .

Forgot to post the final tune. After all the waiting, the end result is a little disappointing, expected a bit more grunt, but not over yet, a few things to sort out . Going to beef up the fuel and exhaust. Flex tune and see how it goes.

Do you have to get these made or is it an off the shelf fitting ?

Turbo muffler, are they more restrictive than a chamber model. I see you can also get them with insulation to quieten them down if you want. The Genie, could not find out much except they put them on bigger 4WD types
