  1. retired is not so bad, shit I will be dead !
  2. Next build , haha He is the only bloke I know to start the next one before the last one was finished But I am sure it will be worth it
  3. I expected it to go harder down low, I think I listened to some blokes with the "torque monster" bit, haha I thought it may have been tuned to around 28 psi and 15 to 20psi on the low side. Even on the run in tune @15psi it was a good DD and only needed the limiter lifted The PT6262 CEA is good for 700HP , I did not expect this, just wanted a Turbo that could handle more if needed. All of the bolt ons were good for 450awkw ish , so E85 was going to be my mad time rides But that will have to wait
  4. The head was not ported, they said the head would be fine, 1mm OS valves and 8.5:1 CR From what most said I expected more, but I will wait until I get the bug out of the tune and see how it goes
  5. I paid top odds for the petrol tune$1600 and that seems way to high
  6. I mean being able to have another tune done on the car while there was a tune was running the car. I am sorry but I do not know how to explain it. If they can lock your ECU, can you still have a new tune to over ride the old tune.
  7. No one seems to know if you can have 2 tunes on a Haltech and be able to swap ?
  8. I have to say I expected more from the tune, maybe too much ?
  9. Yeah mate, could be a simple thing and I am not really worried. I will take the car to them on Monday and I am sure they will sort it out, these blokes know what they are doing , all good The water thing seems to be sorted, no more water lose, they said they could not find anything wrong and I wonder if it was leaking from the bleeder, that was the only thing I noticed where there could have been a problem and the only thing that was touched to make any difference?? But it is nice to drive, Paul wants me to run it on 85, but we all know he is not a petrol head , but for me, getting the stuff is the problem
  10. All Good, I think the car is running pretty good, it has good response since the build and nice to drive. Gave it a little touch up until it played up and I think it will be a very good car for all sorts of driving. The power is very linear and comes on early. My idea of what the car would do after the build fell a bit short but I am happy with the result I understand about the tune being protected and do not mind having a password protection on it but I want the password. As long as I can have a different tuner put a new tune in at some time in the future "if I want to" I understand that once someone else touches their tune the warranty goes out the window. As you blokes know I live a fair distance from Sydney and I might find a new shop closer to me in the future and would like to have the password "OR" know that a separate tune can be done without accessing the original tune?? This below is just a matter of interest, it might be a silly question, but not the first one I have asked on SAU CAN THERE BE 2 DIFFERENT TUNES ON YOUR ECU ?? If so can you switch tunes if you feel like it ?
  11. Read up on it, some say there is a little difference in the dyno reading but nothing really. Who cares it the tune is a good one
  12. Could be as simple as a loose connection or hose off . I have extended my stay in Sydney to take the car to them on Monday morning before my drive home, I am worried about making it worse before they can have a chance to have a look .I know there was NO problem on the Dyno and they did heaps of runs ? But I think you have to sign something when you use Microsoft's products saying you understand what their user policy is before you can use it in the first place and you cannot continue unless you tick the box. BUT I am not too sure about any of it. I do not mind not being able to use their tune, as long as another one can be installed and over ride the tune I do not want, that is if I decide to go elsewhere in the future ????. If this was possible, I wonder if you can swap or change back to the old tune if you find out the new tune is not as good as the first one, getting expense now, haha I am just trying to find out what my options are in the future, hate being in the dark on a subject I know nothing about
  13. If it got to that stage that would be OK because you were having a new tune anyway. But as I paid for the tune I should own it, I did not lease it or sign something saying they own it. I have no agreement with them. I do not mean this mob, I am speaking generally about any tunner locking us out of our tune we paid for ?
  14. He is at Gosford and a couple of blokes say he is pretty good and tunes a bit on the safe side and that is OK for me.Has a RWD Dyno , are these OK for AWD cars, guess so ? At the moment I just want this tune to work properly, so I can drive the car and see if it is what I want before thinking of changing it
  15. I do not mind the numbers of the tune, it is as much as I need, I would like it to get started a little earlier if possible. The 3.2 does what I wanted from idle, maybe it is not possible to get what I want exactly but it is close enough for a bit of fun No one has the right to render my property useless because they do not want someone to see what they have done, they can take it back, but I want my money back and both sides are happy ? I have a 350 Klm trip to get these tunes
  16. I have to admit I struggle with all of this and feel lost at the attitude of people in this trade Paid for a tune that turns bad the next day and it does not go over 6000rpm without going tits up, I understand that shit happens at times as we are all human. It was on the Dyno and sounded good, nothing noticeable at 8000ish? Maybe I have this wrong, when they lock the ECU does that mean the ECU cannot be used at all by another tuner at all, rendering the ECU useless ? Or you cannot access the tune to adjust it, this would be OK as long as a new tune could be put in the ECU . I think it would be illegal to deny me access to my property to use as I choose and at the very least they should delete the tune and leave the run in tune on the ECU and give me my money back. It would be like a bloke putting a new lock on your front door that you do not like because the door only opens half way and your not allowed to get another lock on because they do not want to let the new locksmith see the other lock and that is crazy. Surely my tune would not be good for another car, who would want to steal it?
  17. Yeah Daz and from what is said it is a no brainer and better for the motor
  18. But is is already a bit more than mid range power, there is no lag, gets off reasonably well and I think if I launch it at around 4000rpm, it will go very well with the new clutch you can rev through the release and the revs continue to build, but I have not done it on a more vigorous start. but it feels pretty good
  19. Yeah mate , but you need access to it, please do not sat, drum it
  20. haha, I wanted to keep the car and now it is good enough to stop me whinging about it. I think there is more there and I will wring it out
  21. Absolutely understand that, I would never let anyone other than a person qualified for this type of work touch my ECU. If I did let another person do the work it would have to be under their shop's warranty I would not unlock it, I would want a password for it, this way they would have to get me to unlock it for ANY work. I do not live around the corner and at some time I am sure I will stop getting my work done in Sydney and have the right to access my property and do with it as I wish BUT once this is done any warranty is karput!! and any problems caused by another person at my request is MY fault and I would have to pay for repairs. As I am sure you did
