Educated Guess At The Final Tune Results
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi James Drives pretty good and gets going early, would like a bit more but can live with it I want the lock taken off, it is MY ECU and no one has the right to sell me a service for my car , put it on my ECU and refuse me access to be able to use it , well I think so:/ -

I do not do anything, the builder does it all. I just throw the money at him. What is this business of these blokes locking the ecu so no one else can access them ? That to me is a bit strange, my ecu and I paid very good money for a tune, it is my tune for my car and probably only good for my car ????? I live a long way from Sydney and if it brakes down I cannot get someone else to work on it ? -

22psi,thought it would get to 400awkw on that ? Gave it a bit of a go and it is playing up, coughing and splatted at 6000 to 7000 rpm, something is amiss -

Well it is done, Dyno KWs pretty low at 386awkw @ 22psi and dropping off to 18psi ?, graph attached. I did expect a bit more I thought all of my bolt ons would allow much more than that, but ? Lots of grunt but still in Sydney bumper traffic so no chance to have a spirited drive. But it does not seem much different in traffic to the run in tune up to 3000rpm ish?? Have not done the E85 tune, later Going for a drive while the kids are asleep -

At last , someone has given me an idea how it could drive on the road and what makes it all work in together, no need for insults because someone asked a question to learn something , I think the extra 0.2 Lt has to help as well, thanks 29 I have seen Videos of street cars driven to the track, kick arse and then driven home as the others are being loaded on a flat top. Laggy , I would not have a clue or give a fark, just enjoyed the Vids. This one, maybe a sub 10 secs DD as our 34s are pretty heavy dressed and looking great doing it. Vids please Homewrecker I am sure you have not taken offense at being asked questions about your build, love it -

Thats cool, and this car sounds like it will be magic and the time it took to build is amazing from my limited experience I would like to ask, what you think its 1/4 time could be, like Nitto or MGAWOT 11, they would be hard to match and build it in a month ? How do you learn if you do not ask questions HOMEWRECKER where are you , the holidays are over ?? -

Thanks Chris I know shit all about this stuff until I get some answers to questions I ask and then, I still know very little, except advise to take a chill pill and that really helps, school hols are a pain . I could never understand anyone wanting to drive a car as a "DD" the way "MY CAR" drove , I was crap , it had a T78 tuned by CRD for top end! Before you blokes throw rocks or chill pills, I am just asking, how can this car be a good DD .Have a look at what I asked before saying I should PO? I thought SAU was for asking questions and I cannot wait until the owner gets back on the thread, probable had an Easter break or a phantom -

I already said it was fantastic and I do not give a shit how someones else's car drives, to each his own I love what he has done, jealous that he could get it done in a month and think his car looks great, love white Rs ?????? That is not what I was saying, he said it was good to drive as a DD and my car at a similar speed and KWs was really shitty as a DD from idle, my Quad clutch did not help. "I struggle with Dyno charts, I wondered if I missed something, or the extra .2 Lt made the difference." I was hoping "he" would answer and let me know how it all works in together, not your " RESPONSE " with your medical advice, it is a bit warm so I might take a chilled beer instead -

I understand that, marvel at what he did in 3 months and the results are sensational But it is also a street car, what about the first 5000rpms, as I said when I bought mine it did nothing until 5000rpm + and at 140kph@150kw that is similar to his graph, even with the .2Lt more ? He has done 5000klms on the street and loves it , i drove home 350 Klms and wanted to put a match to it on the first day ! So I must be missing something the way I have read his graph and would like someone that knows to explain it for me -

Well , his was a month, mine was over 5 months and I had everything there ?? Looking at his Dyno, would you say it is a laggy street car or am I missing something? I know it has .2Lt more but up to 5000rpm it is not doing much? I struggle with most Dyno graphs, some blokes just take a glance and can tell how it will drive. All I know is when mine did not kick in until over 5000rpm it was a nightmare on the street. I love white Rs -

haha, thought I had it covered, but it did piss me off big time at the time, but I do not live in the past , there is always more new shit waiting to happen But ,the way this was done should be how they are all done, choose your builder (first check out their build times) know what you want, get the bolt ons etc and then check if the builder is ready to start on your build. Oh, I did it all that, well except the builder bit,lol I do not know if this bloke just happened to be at the right place at the right time ?? -

Had it 3 months and finished and to get all of the gear ready would take some time, good planing and picked the right company to do it . He might be one of those hideous blokes that saves money for a rainy day haha Or robbed a bank! -

I like the idea of the same company's products being used together and the sales blurb makes them sound like a pretty good combination -

Cheers James, my trouble has always been I know shit all about modifying cars and have said some dumb stuff over the 12 months I have been doing mods, haha But there are blokes here that just jump in and help, been great and had a heap of laughs, especially when some blokes think I am pissed off, lol When you have bought all of the bolt ons months before the build it is crazy to have to wait over 5 months after dropping it off. The blokes here say they all seem to be the same but that does not help when you are waiting forever, well seems forever Anyway, just about at the finish line, Thursday and hopefully all done ? A week for a V8 From what some other blokes have said I think the Walbro 460 is capable of around 450awkw and now I will have the ID1300 injectors , is should be OK, but cams dialed for bottom end and everything else trying to get it moving ASAP we are not expecting too much , always talked about 400awkw ish and that is more than what I need.Shit the 345kw I had was enough power, just at the wrong end and to laggy. Great how much difference the .6Lt makes for driving around, it has become a pleasure again. If I ever get down there I will let you know as there are a few blokes I would like to meet up with in that area -

thats what I mean, 0-5500rpm is a long way on the street but then this thing takes off, should have wings Maybe the extra .2Lt helps till it gets going -

Be there on the 9th, might get a chance to see it. What ECU are you running? I will be getting a flex tune as well, it is going to be a long day -

Did you have Pixies doing the build, lol That was quick Car looks great, the power , wooh great results I struggle to undersatand Dyno Graphs , but yours looks like it is 150KW @ 140kph , when I bought my car it was approximately the same 150kw @ 140kph (thats where the comparison ends, haha) and mine was really bad to drive as a DD . very laggy ? -

Yeah, that sounds about right, talking 8000rpm limit setting at this stage but he will see how it goes on the Dyno and work off the graph I guess. Might need a Helmet to go with the suit
