Nrma Vintage And Classic Insurance
Nismo 3.2ish replied to walkoau's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I went with NRMA this year, thanks Terry Car has to be at least 15 years old. Mine a 1999 R34GTR , only 20,000klm on the clock, good condition. They know I have another car as it is on their roadside repair policy, so I do have a DD to use.Under 9000klm PA, I got a $65,000 agreed value. I Think it is impossible to get what our cars owe us in $$$$$$$$s spent but that is what it is. BUT a better agreed value than anyone else and a better price. I found them very helpful and easy to deal with I think you would struggle claiming if you have a track or hill climb accident . I also wonder if you did not have a 2nd car to use as a DD if they could cancel the policy. You would have to be careful that you are within their policy conditions or it may not end up being a cheaper option ? -
Hey Been Here A While, Thought I'd Introduce Myself

Love white R32&33s hope you have a good one -
After researching for ages I did speak to like mined blokes on SAU on just about everything I have done so far, then researched the info given. But they still have their preferences but a great guide to know what they have done has produced the type of results I wanted. After I was sure what I had done to the car was not getting me the response I wanted I decided on the Nitto 3.2 stroker. I kept everything from the earlier mods I did except the cams. I am sure I can get a lot more from the car but I do not need it Probably went into over kill with the drive-train, but it all sounded soooooo GOOD
-
that is one good looking car

When you are going through a learning curve with these cars it is not easy with anything you want to do, brakes and tyres are amongst the most confusing But everything can become confusing and the more you read the worse it gets. In the end you have to make your mind up what you want from the car for yourself, then make the choice and hope it gets you what you want, it can be a costly choice if you get it wrong, lol
-
Yeah, gota call and could have got them for $220 as they got a lot in and trying to flog them At first I was looking at going to 19x10.5 with the 285s but for whatever reason I changed my mind, cannot remember why, too much red maybe
-
1999 R34GTR
-
I know now BJ said these 265s are the recommended size and I was not sure about the 285s but they do not last forever and if I like them, next time
-
haha, I thought the stretch was from a wasteland thread I was playing on The tyres were on the car when I bought it and as the car has been living away from home most of the time I have not bothered. I want play a little bit when I run it in before I put the AD08Rs on. I wanted 275/35 but they do not make a 275, just 265 then 285 ?
-
Stretch lol, you get around the forum if I got it right Rims are Advan RS-Ds 18X10 the tyres are 255/40 but have a set of Yokohama 265/35 AD08Rs ready to go on after I get the car back and use up the rubber on the car now
-
I like that type on dark cars and looked at rims like those but ended up going half way and got black an machined look
-
Had 2 300ZXs, one was red the other more maroon and that was a better colour for that car.. I think it is David that has a red R and looks amazing a well Said I would never have a black car, but have one, looks great just cleaned, but give it 10 minutes ,LOL
-
maybe it is my age but I go for the R3s shape and the feel when you actually use the gears, shit it feels like you are actually driving the car
-
agreed ^^^ Had a TT300ZX close to that colour, loved it. Is that a factory colour?
-
I think the 32/33 look great, I like the softer shape, it took me a while to really like my 34, the 34 are very busy with shapes all over the place.
-
you are a sadist, probably drive the 2nd one out of the garage and some dick run into me They are just fabricating the oil pick up, the sump goes on and the motor is ready to go in
-
I am newish to all of this and think you blokes have great patients, I am struggling to handle 4 months of being treated like a mushroom ,lol Guess when you are hands on it is more personal and interesting and time just gets eaten up. I get impatient waiting for other blokes builds to be finished
-
Interesting build and looking great. WHEN did you start the work ?
-
Hi Ravi, I see you are ready to join me, you have shown them where to TOW it from and in both directions, now that is sad , realistic , but sad
-
Hahaha, Pete dose not mind, but Pete is jealous Looking mad , is that the Stig in there
-
Hi Anthony , just about cried reading that I think you have used up all of the shit for your car, all good from now
-
that would be funny, if it was funny Bloody cars,LOL
