  1. There seems to be a lot of blokes on SAU that would disagree with that statement and they go a little further and say the strokers sound like shit ?
  2. I really wonder what the sound will be like when it is finished ? I know when I took the T78 off , the 6262 was quieter. I liked it with the T78 but it was going to get unwanted attention Then with the new exhaust system it was quieter again but the flow was better.
  3. Just gotta luv a good Tiida with the right bits strapped on it Tough critics
  4. Pretty true mate, I was going to buy a new GTR but I did not have a feeling for them, saw the R34GTR and bought it , untuned and still had 1000 Klms to run it in. Unfortunately it was nothing like the Lees said it would be once it had the final tune, peaky 338awkw and crap as a DD. Had to make my mind up what to do with it, modify it so it drives the way I want or piss it off. I tried a few mods that worked OK but still to weak until 3500rpm. the only way I could see how to get it firing up from the get-go was a stroker, maybe I went too far with the Nitto 3.2 but I figured more is better than less for what I want and the right foot or boost controller can take care of the extra power if I do not want to use it. Might try some Hill Climbs and a few Mugs day at EC?? Have a look at it, how could I sell it, A GTR Skyline and like anything, if you like it, you like it!
  5. you have tunnel vision and you over stated the Kws , it was only 10827328.9 kw , get it right
  6. that old engine only has about 4000Klms on it, it was made tough for big HP if needed
  7. getting everything back , I will need a truck to pick up all of the leftovers
  8. maybe thats why they are modifying it? I do have a 9Lt sump on the car.
  9. Oh shit, beeeeen soooooo long I forgot about that and I was just getting used of the awesome power of the Tiida on 98 pump Just been told the motor is complete and they are modifying the sump to suit the RB30 all wheel drive conversion, whatever that means
  10. haha, I would end up on the floor trying to work on my car, STUFFED BACK and an old fart, so doing the work is out of the question, shit I have trouble fixing my kids Bikes
  11. Yeah everything has to be able to handle it, with the 4Lts that should be fun, when you do the bottom end and turn it up to 600Kw, hold on tight Put a 6262 CEA on my R34GTR , wanted to get rid of some of the lag from the T78, worked OK but not good enough, so got a 3.2Lt stroker going in and the 6262 should work great with the extra torque and rated around 700hp it will be more than plenty for what I want from the car.
  12. What are you hoping to get out of it, rated @ 1100HP, that will be mad Love to see the Dyno on this against the T04Z
  13. Well well well, 7 months and almost complete ,that was quick Daz, well almost quick, LOL You blokes really have patients , I hate the mushroom treatment Why cant these people stop taking work they have no chance of finishing in the time they quote, it is stupid and they waste their time moving them around like musical chairs, so they can work on the one behind it , or behind that one. They spend the first and last 1/2 hour or so putting cars out on the street/yard so they have room inside to work ???????? Got me stuffed
  14. Thats why they could not find one, you F***xx blokes had them all
  15. haha, you funny well the time and money quote seems to be VERY true in this industry and if I get what I want it will be the last time
  16. They have done all my work and always did it for the price quoted and on time and I have always been happy.I do not remember the last time I used their company name on SAU I am sure they know what is going on , maybe registered as John Smith but I do not care. There is nothing I say here I do not say to them, well actually I do not say that much on SAU and do not put shit on their work and up until 6 weeks ago have sung their praise and defended their work, I got what I asked for from them, my car starts hot/cold and keeps going. What pissed me off to start with was the car sat in the shop for 5 weeks without a spanner being turned, I had already paid for parts needed and had everything delivered in July "before I dropped the car off". But then got the ongoing mushroom treatment Late in the work they found a broken part in the trannie but if they had started the work when the car was dropped off there would not have been a problem getting the part replaced in time. Shit they started looking for the RB30 block it in July and it took months to find one. I did not know how hard it would be to find one but the blokes on SAU said they were easy enough to get, but?
  17. That seems like a lot of work and extra parts because they did not set it up properly in the first place and having extra moving parts is always best avoided Ben, I will let you know what they end up doing.
  18. Thanks Luke I figured they have done this type of build many times and if something was not as they wanted they would have stopped and fix it. It always helps to have people looking over my shoulder helping out Cheers
  19. I hope it all works for you, Gearboxes must be getting hard on the pocket and with the extra power comes extra stress on everything. But it is all part of modifying these things , trying to get it all to work together and hope you have not over done it, haha Hard not to try and get what you want from your ride without going that little bit further to get it
  20. Ben, I am not sure if I want to know this, haha It is great having you and the other blokes keeping an eye on this for me. Do you think I should mention this to them and see what they say. Why would they do this when it would have been easier to do it properly in the first place. Could it be they think what they are doing is better??
