$2 a KM , haha that would stop you going to the shop for an ice cream If what you say is true (bullshit I think) I would change mechanics , maybe you are using a carpet layer to do this work for you or ,LOL

Hi Dan I am an oldie and I know one thing , if you have been thinking like this for a while, it is time to sell your R and get it over with. I agree with what's being said here, there are heaps of cars out there that you can get both worlds, more comfort, economy , less attention from the HP and still have a lot of fun Bite the bullet and flog it. Pete -
Holy Shit ! Hope you like working 3 jobs. to pay for this lot? I take it you also track the car or you would be in jail by now going through that lot on the road or do you run sly grog Is it still your DD, got some pics?

I understand about the extra fuel cost and just using the car as a sports drive, some with no Rego or insurance. I also know these cars can be very hard on the pocket and it depends how deep your pockets are, but I do not understand about getting sick of the GTR. If it is built as a strong DD and then you can still do track or ? driving to get your rocks off on the weekend. Shit the money blokes spend on these cars is a pretty dumb investment as you will never get it back, poking all sorts of stuff under the bonnet at big $s , 5 minutes later want more HP, so more $s to squeeze a few more HP out of it, all good If you do not have 2 cars to pay for, it would be easier to afford the extra fuel unless the car is built for the track, loud, low and a pig to drive as a DD, otherwise you can cruise as a DD and then bruise when you want to push the peddle I replaced my somewhat loud exhaust with a softer sounding exhaust but with good flow, still sounds OK and apart from admirers no one takes any notice , unless you are hooning and you attract the wrong attention End of the day we do what suits us so we get the best experience from our rides, as for me I want to drive it as much as I can -

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ sounds like good advice I think buying a new car is one of the greatest wastes of $$$$$$$$s I can think of, well except getting married for the 4th time I think performance is what makes you happy when you press the peddle and drive, all good whatever driving you enjoy doing -

^^^^^^^ I had an auto for 8 years and it was soooo good to get into a car I can drive again Just wish I did not have all of the off road time doing mods, this is the last of it for me -
I would have thought with all of these power builds and people using the wrong clutches for for the power they have, putting stress on gear boxes, even what seemed to be the right combinations, going POP! Advised to use the wrong turbo/s , fuel pumps, injectors, driveline, brakes that could not handle the hard driving and a lot of this does not come cheap Then finding the right combinations to make it work for you but I guess it is also down to the driver in a lot of cases.Maybe high power cannot be contained for long ? As a newbie at this, there seems so many different right ways to do everything and that also means many wrong ways to get what you want?????? I am and still trying to get the combination right to make me happy, taking out new parts, shit even a complete new forged RB26 bottom end, new Poncams B and other parts, maybe when you start doing these mods you are never happy and that is a worry , well

If he was going slow it is a little funny but much safer

Hi Greg It must have been bad if you cannot talk about it This is not a shop bashing thread, do not mention the builders name, just might help someone out if we talk about things that went wrong and why. Pete

Hi Dan. I do not understand, you have had your 33 for 8 years that you seem to like and will miss. You do not drive it very much or utilize the go peddle. What makes you feel you have to sell it, is it laggy and crap to drive in the city or just sick of it ?? If I only had to have one car I would keep my 34. KEEP IT and be happy Pete -
Welcome, lots of blokes here can give you some good advice. Is it a factory car or modified Post some pics Pete

I did not think I would miss my R34, but without my TT350GT now for 5 weeks and my R being in the shop being built for 4 weeks now, I am driving my Tiida. Never worried me before as I always had the 350 to get my rocks off before I bought the R34GTR. After 4 weeks of not having a car I really enjoy driving I am sick of it and want my car back, well it will not be the same car with the 3.2 stroker in it But I would buy another 350GT , even without the TT it is a nice car to drive and goes OK and the kids fit in the back seats OK but not good for taller passengers , you can get a good one for about $20k. CRD, if you read this, get your finger out, I am dying here -
Tell us , we wont laugh, well maybe a little:)

Yeh, pretty dumb of me but I have been learning as I go, asking the questions on SAU and doing a bit of homework and making a decision as to what I want to do to get the results I want, some things I need to take my builders advice. It is blokes like you and others on SAU that helps me make a choice. Up until now the builder has said that if I ever want to turn the wick up there are many things that can be done. I take that comment to mean, a bigger turbo and cams etc, fuel would also have to be upgraded.I will not be doing the Big turbo or cams as I have gone for response and have used mods to help me get it. I am not sure about the injectors, maybe the ones I have in the car can handle the build, I feel sure if it is not going as good as he expects, he will advise me on what is needed to make it all work together. I have had no feedback from the builder for the month it has been in the shop, no pics so I have no idea where they are up to on the build or if the cars just gathering dust:/

They changed my 044 to a Walbro 460lph with my last mods, but now I am having the 3.2 stroker and flex fuel sensor installed, will the Walbro be enough and able to run E85? They said that they will wait until the tune to see if the current setup is working well enough and thought as it is a DD the Walbro should handle it OK? Shit, I do not even know what CC injectors are in the car , I just rely on the way the tune goes and what they say

Yeh Nice car it The black looks OK but I love the difference a bit of colour makes, I think the cars look different in a good way. Black looks more threatening and lighten them up adds a little class , well until you see the FR34K , haha Smart plates and got the R34 in nicely
