Hi Amir,Thanks I saw that vid before and read the review, have seen others and read other forums and it was all positive and I keep looking but I have made my mind up to get them and have asked for a delivery date A few have said the AD08/Rs do not like puddles and got a little wobbly going through them but I guess it depends what you are doing at the time.

Bloody laptop playing up again:( Exhausts, love the sound but as you said it can create the wrong attention it was funny when I had the old T78 on and changed it to the TP6262 it was much quieter I did not expect that much difference. When I put the custom exhaust on, I asked them to keep the sound down as much as they can without stopping the benefits from a better flowing exhaust. Black car, need my aircon

Haha, hard to get everything in one tyre:) The dry is not a problem for me but driving in a single twisty lane in water and start aquaplaning there is not much time to correct the situation without the best rubber and the best water dispersion tyres you can get. I know shat all about tyres and thats why I am asking these questions, but looking at the tread on the AD08R and thinking of water in-between , it has to slide, there is nothing to grab the road. I am sure the rubber compound is soft enough but it looks too slickish to disperse the water. I think I will get them and be careful in the rain

As a DD but I have a great driving road here that is 50Klms long , lots of twisty stuff, hairpins and just about everything for a quiet Sunday morning drive I have 2 Pirille PZeros on the back and they seem pretty good and I just had a look at there rating and they are a great wet tyre and not bad on dry, I might put them all round but for now I will keep looking. Anyone used any of these Hankook Ventus S1 EVO 2 type. Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero Bridgestone Potenza RE050A I might be getting carried away a bit with this wet tyre obsession but shitty wet tyres can bite you on the ass as the Advan still rates pretty high as a DD/track tyre , wet/dry

Hi Amir Well they had a good wrap on their website but that is business. It is always best to get to the people using them in the conditions you are concerned about. . I will keep looking as I have a lot of time before my build is finished and then wear my tyres down while I am running it in and after the final tune Pirelli used to make good wet tyres , might have a look at them. As my car will be pretty responsive I want the best rubber I can get. Cheers

Hi Amir I was looking to get the AD08Rs as they were rated excellent in the dry and VERY GOOD in the wet on their site, but I read where it was said that if there is heavy rain with puddle patches they can aquaplane and you cannot do that on the twisty stuff unless you want to park in a tree or at the bottom of a gully. I guess any tyres will aquaplane at a point but I want the best wet tyres I can get, anyone have a suggestion????except ,slow down .... I do not drive like a maniac but like to feel as safe as possible Pete

Thats interesting about the vintage car over 15 years old, so next year I will be able to insure it. Being modified makes no difference?? At 72 I guess I will not need a parent to own the car, haha

Need Insurance? Want Cheaper Insurance?

Anything new with these companies?? Using Just Cars for my imported cars, they are an AAMI owned mob and I have used AAMI for years but they will still not insure my cars under the AAMI logo, got me stuffed and they know how to charge????? I do not think we could insure our cars for the true value it would cost an arm and leg !! -

So insulation does not work? I thought insulating the feed lines and rail would help, well from the engine heat but I guess there must be more to it than an easy fix to do the job. What about a fire retardant flex hose large enough to go over the rail with cut outs around the injectors, feed from the aircon??. I guess the aircon steals power -

Probably a dumb question but what is making it hot in the first place, the pump ? -
Lucky bastard, love Japan and must go back for one last visit. After you have seen all the cars and slid all over the place, go and chase some of the ladies there, very friendly

Shit just did an answer to this and lost the Fn lot, hate computers So the Auto bloke is getting it up and going like he should, must have been a stuff up there somewhere, I think all good shops back their work. When they are doing the reliefs for the cams and putting the OS Valves in they will be cleaning the head up. Looking forward to the clutch being a little lighter under foot , also putting a slave Cylinder in, the boys say it makes it even better. Doing the E85 thing, while the car is in the shop I will get as much done as I can, 650Klms is a pain for small jobs and getting back home and then back to Sydney is a bigger pain Have you had the Quaife in long enough to get a feel for it, how do you like it . I think with the Trannie mods it should be interesting on the twisty bits Just put some Extreme brakes on the front as mine were stuffed. After they go I will be trying the Endless , supposed to be tough and work cold OK as a DD.. Busting to see some Vids from your runs when the Auto gets going, all the best with that
