98 Pump V E85 Pros And Cons For A Dd
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi Ben ^ ^ ^ Haha, I think you missed the "Mmmmmm "in that post ^ ^ ^ ^ I was just saying that could be in his mind and for me " it is not an option " I want the car to go from the start. My car starts to spool at 2800 rpm now and I figure after the build it could be 700 to 1000rpm under that plus the extra torque from the stroker and stuff should help BUT I do not know, I just have to wait and go from there -
Building An Rb26 For Response....
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Antimatter's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I guess only time will tell how it all works together, the worst option is to change the turbo, then flog it off to get a couple of $$$s back I just hated the idea of changing it, just put it in and it is good for 700HP + and as the was made a huge difference how the car drives, so I want to see how it goes as I could not find a comparison, so I guess I will be the first with the TP6262 on a 3.2 stroker -
98 Pump V E85 Pros And Cons For A Dd
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
He said it would be something to look at after the build, I do not know why, it was just something he mentioned. I guess if it starting too spool to early (Mmmmm ) it is an option, I really do not know and will ask the next time I speak to him?? This comment was made the first time I told him I wanted the stroker build and wanted to keep the PT6262 , I think now he is sure of what I want from the car it will not be an option, BUT ?? -
98 Pump V E85 Pros And Cons For A Dd
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
My car is on full boost now at 5k ish , it is @ 345awkw and the motor has forged pistons etc, with only 4000 Klms on the motor and I guess I will be trying to flog it after the build Turbo not tin scroll, PT6262 CEA B I have the R34GTR Haltech Platinum Pro ECU and will be adding the Haltech Flex Fuel Sensor , if I got it right, they can be tuned to use both fuels and different % of each fuel as the sensor will detect it and the computers do the rest to tune it in, I guess. CRD is doing the work, RB30 / Nitto 3.2 Stroker Kit and all the bits that go together to make it a strong unit, cannot wait to get it back Put on the Dyno Graph for the car as it is, pretty good response and on boost early but I want more -
98 Pump V E85 Pros And Cons For A Dd
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi Zebra The head will have a bit of work at the same time they do the head relief for the cams, not a full race job, + o/s Valves. Also using better quality valve springs and retainers. Just hoping with the different ramp rate of the UE cams, o/s valves, cleaning the head up and "maybe" a larger back turbo housing, if he thinks it needs changing and hope it will all work together to give me the low/middle response I want?? I am sure it will be more than enough to put a on my rough head :) -
98 Pump V E85 Pros And Cons For A Dd
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi Joey, I am on full boost now at 5k ish, if I am not on full boost by 4k with the stroker and a much better response from idle I will give myself an uppercut for wasting my $$$$$$$s using 98 Pump and E85 on the same psi what would the difference in KWs be, say your car is 400awkw on pump@20psi. Maybe I interpreted it wrong but I thought it would be about 10%, so 400 on 98 pump = 440awkw on E85 @ the same psi? But as you know I am only guessing and it is an uneducated guess From what I have read on E85 I would expect better low response to mid range. -

98 Pump V E85 Pros And Cons For A Dd
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks Ben I feel pretty well set up with the 260 10.8 cams and the PT6262 turbo for street response with the 3.2 build, plus o/s valves and cleaning up the head. I do not really think I will be using E85 as they do not sell it where I live but who knows, when I get down to the Big Smoke and be able to fill up with E85 and compare the difference, that could be fun:) I am sure there are many ways to get better results for my $ but enough, done a shit load of hours checking stuff out, asked questions , some dumb like the one I am asking now I suppose . I always remember what an old mate of mine said, there are NO dumb questions, only Dumb answers and I have done both I thought that E85 did make better response and power from the moment you pushed the go peddle????? -
Having a Flex Fuel Sensor installed and tuned in with my RB30 /26 build just i case I want/need to use E85. After reading a few old threads and different opinions about the E85 fuel and some problems if the fuel is getting old/stale I was wondering if there are still problems with the E85 now or have they stabilized the fuel , maybe it is better now as they sell more of it and it and does not have time to go off? Maybe mix it in with some Russian Vodka and all good

My Daily Rb32Gtr
Nismo 3.2ish replied to chavey's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Sorry to hear that, bloody cars ,haha An extra handful of $$$$$$s should fix it and it sounds like when it all comes together it should be awesome I have the Coppermix C Spec Twin to go in , taking the OS Quad out as I want to have it a bit softer on the box and hope it holds up, but as a DD it will not cop the work yours will. It will be interesting what you think about the Nismo C twin. A few blokes on the site swear by them and have had then in for years I am not going as far as you with your motor apart from the 3.2 build, changing cams to 260 10.8s, o/s Valves, cleaning the head and I hope the PT6262 does the job (bloody new), rated over 700HP, should be good enough for me,NO track/drag and think around 400awkw on 98 Pump will be more than I need but with a shit load of torque. Having the Haltech flex fuel Sensor tuned in with the build, just in case ?? Did you do anything else with your driveline, I am going with Quaife front diff, modifying the Trannie +extra plates and have the Nismo 2-way LSD in the Back already. As a DD going with Endless CCRG Brakes, told they are tough and work OK from a cold start but I think you will have to go with a bit more ratting for track work? Looking forward to hear happy crap about your Auto Trans No hate yet I aways figure it is my car and knockers can get stuffed, I did achieve what I wanted but found out I wanted more. I love the input from the guys that just try and help blokes like me that know SFA about modifying cars and because of them I do understand a lot more than I did but that wasn't much, haha. Cheers/Pete -

Great job and looks smick I could not open your earlier pics, do you have any more new ones ? Looking forward to see how it all works out for you. I am getting a RB30/Nitto 3.2 built now for my R34GTR, going for response. My car is a DD, the only worry I have is the Box , especially 3rd they say if you do not thrash it, they will be OK. But with a torquey car I need to make my mind up what to get if I do stuff it. I just had a look on the web for the RE401B Auto you have used and cannot find much at all about them, have you got a site I can have a look at. What company sells them and have you had much to do with them? Cheers Pete -
Building An Rb26 For Response....
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Antimatter's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
HI Charlie, going to have a look at Chavey's build, thanks I see Piggaz is just ordering the OS88 box , cannot wait to hear how they go as a DD and Paul's car should be a good test and I believe he likes to drive hard as he keeps braking things, sorry Paul I dropped my car into the workshop on Tuesday and now the wait starts After listening to you blokes I ended up confirming some changes to the driveline and will see how the Box goes or when it goes before I change it.Better start putting the $$$$s away Gone with the Coppermix C Spec Twin(over 700HP), Nismo slave cylinder, Quaife front diff , modifying the Trannie and already have a Nismo 2-way LSD /back. The boys said to try the Unigroup 260 10.8 cams as they will give me more air, Better springs and retainers, cleaning the head up, oversized valves. Staying with the PT6262 B Turbo (over 700hP), maybe a larger back housing depending on the results. Just waiting to see how the Walbro 460lph goes when the tune is being done and work off the results RB30 Block has been modified. Plus all of the other part to go with the Nitto 3.2 Stroker Kit to make it a strong motor all round. Going to have to make it stop now, Piggaz suggested I look at the Endless Brakes as they are strong and still work OK cold for a DD. While they are doing the job I am having the Haltech Flex Fuel Sensor tuned in with the build , just in case, well you never know what you are going to want in the future, I was happy with the way it was, well for a few weeks ,haha It will be around 400awkw, no big turbo/s or big cams, response and linear power from the start to the limiter, well -

Enough Space For Kids In Back On V35 Coupe?
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Danatron's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I know they say they were 200 ish KWs mine was 182KW on the dyno before the tune, did a soft tune at 255 kw, does not seem much but great fun. Had a bloke with a 350Z and I smashed it, he went and put the APS TT system on,haha Off topic It is not a back seat for 6Ft + , they sit in the front on long trips , even if they have to drive -
Can Someone Estimate My Car In A Quarter Mile?
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Mathiasnguyen's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Mate I would go to another site, a lot of these blokes find it easier to be a smart ass than to be helpful, they all think they were born with the knowledge they have now. There are some great blokes on this site that will just answer your question ( I know because I have asked lots of dumb ass ones and still trying to learn ,haha ) so you will just have to work through it and take no notice of the AHs But from what I have read, it is a very hard thing to have an educated guess at, maybe if you ask if there was a GOOD driver driving your car, what could he do it in. There are a lot of variables, but there should be someone that can have a guess. Zebra had a go 12.2 , 12 to 16 from JezR31 depending on the driver , I would probably be in the 16 side. I will cop shit for this as well, water off a duck back , haha -

I gave my 350GT to my Son today and miss it already. If you ever want it to really get going add a twin turbo system, with that motor and torque But I still have my R34  -

13 & 17 year olds in the back, Sydney and back many times, QLD etc no problems or whinging, well apart from their fighting at times , haha . lots of boot for trips. I added APS twin turbo system to the 350GT and with its torque it is a quick family car -
When Is A Stock R34Gtr Fully Spooled

Whatever a stock standard R34GTR is, doubt if many are 5 or 55psi, you sure do swear a lot Mr Piggaz ) -
When Is A Stock R34Gtr Fully Spooled
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just asked when a stock R34GTR would be fully spooled from a standing start, not launched at 4500 or 8000rpm, just let the clutch out and put your foot down. Hadouken did something strange, he just gave me the answer, going at 4k , thanks Mate Back to school now -
When Is A Stock R34Gtr Fully Spooled
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That was my question, when are they " fully spooled." from a standing start and you say they are not fully spooled at 4500rpm in 1st. I thought they would be going hard at 4000rpm with smallish twins? I was not really interested it those times but they were pretty quick in 1999, even now. -
I have not driven a stock R34GTR. At what revs is a stock R34GTR fully spooled. I read that when new, a stock 1999 R34GTR will do 0-100 4.9 secs or 0-60 in 4.6 , this must be from a high rpm launch?
