  1. Made this up just in time as I got caught in a downpour yesterday, no problems
  2. Hi guys, bought this Dec 02 350GT Auto 6 years ago, put APS twin Turbo System on it , 252RWKW sweet ride Needed to get a manual again and went this way, 99 R34GTR, 338AWKW mad ride, once it gets going
  3. Maybe when some of you blokes get home after driving in the rain the hot motor/ heat under the bonnet dries the water. Anyway I will keep it out any way I can and keep the Vents, love the Vents
  4. I have not ordered anything yet but only have a short time before getting the other work done and have to make my mind up very soon. Seems the C-Spec and the ATS carbon are both good choices and cannot go too far wrong with either of them. Thanks for your collective help every time I need it
  5. Hope someone can understand my next question I am changing my turbo from a T78 to a PT6262 and installing Poncams Bs, I wanted more power down low as it is a DD, the mechanic said it will spool much earlier and I will have a bit more torque down low. I only have a problem on steep hill starts at times if I do not get it right , if ride it a little with the revs around 3k it is OK BUT not much room for error. Will this extra torque and earlier power from the new set up stop that lag when the clutch engages, even when ridding it, it lags. Not sure if LAG is the right way to explain it, it feels like the revs die even if you are still trying to build them as the clutch engages?
  6. If it is coming down all you have to do is stop at a traffic light and there is only one place the water is going as it runs through the vents, engine bay, motor and anywhere else gravity wants to take it. My vents cover about 1/3rd from the front of the motor. Even when washing the bloody thing and a bit splashes on the vent area the motor gets water on it ( I do not mean pointing the hose at the vents) and that is just a splash, not a bloody down poor while parked or sitting at the lights. I have not driven in the rain yet but I cannot believe these copy Z-Tune vents would not get water in them even while driving , I know air comes out through the vents but strong enough to stop all of the water going through , I doubt it. BUT?
  7. They are copies and the water just pisses in and I do not like the idea of having water all over my engine etc if I get caught in the rain and the idea of not being able to drive your car in the rain is nuts
  8. Changing my OS Giken Quad to something a bit more forgiving as a DD. The car is 338 AWKW and I do not expect to take it past 370 AWKW with the work I am having done soon , the quad is over kill for this HP. Been looking at 2 types, Nismo C-spec twin copper mix and ATS Pro-Spec single , Carbon on carbon type, I think this is the model? Any feedback or suggestions welcome before I have to confirm the work .
  9. Finding someone to do anything different up here is a problem, got one quote $600, so I did it myself yesterday . It was a bit tricky with the bonnet still on the car and would be much easier if you take it off, Bought a sheet of lite Aluminium as it is easy to shape, $32 from Bunnings and made a cover to go under ALL of the vents, sealed and bolted it on to the skin under the bonnet, added a hole in the front that is just to the side of the radiator where I will make up a funnel and hose that will let the water out without going on anything. Well that my theory I did leave it opened at the back just to see if the vents can still keep it a little cooler, this could cause a problem but it work fine if I just tip water in through the vents BUT I will have to wait until I fit the funnel and drive in the rain to check it out, maybe the wind factor under bonnet will force me to modify it, bloody hope not as it is on there to stay
