Sorry to bring this up again. I have a R32 GTR and an Alpine CDA-9853 head unit. when I installed in, there didn't seem to be a problem with the antenna cable fitting into the headunit. But the reception is really crap, anytime there are tall buildings around I lose reception, if there are 2 antennas, one in the front window and one in the rear window, how do you connect them both up? cheers.

I've got the manual for the CDA-9853 if that helps at all.

Sorry, don't know if this has been asked, but do you have the boot trim? cheers. Michael

Yep, I have the FTO with the black bonnet, it wasn't CF, but someone poured some battery acid on it or something so I thought I'd paint the bonnet black to see what it looks like. The whole car is painted BA mercury silver now with full body kit waiting for someone that wants a rice car to take it off my hands. Back to Canberra. Damn I know Canberra roads are good, but they really need to know when to back off. I mean what's the point in going on the wrong side of the road after you have lost. only going to get themselves or someone else killed. Anyway, carscene getting better in Canberra, was at woden food court the other day and there were 2 180sx and a s14a parked outside. if it wasn't so cold I'd consider moving back.

No problems, thanks anyway. Looks like Boot trims are worth their weight in gold and impossible to find.

Man, I just wanted to comment on the amount of crazy Commodore drivers with P-plates in Canberra. I come to Canberra pretty reguarly but the last 2 times were pretty werid. 1-Black monaro cv8 with p-plates wanted to give me a run on drakeford, so I have him abit of a squirt, nice guy and gave me a wave when he turned off but. 2-white vy with p-plates really tailgating me on Erindale drive, I was already doing 90 in the 80. So I didn't slow down much while turning left into ashley dr. He had to brake heavily to make the round about. By this time I was already behind another car. This guy goes through the double white line on the wrong side of the road hoons past spray me and a couple cars with rocks and narrowly smacked into on comming traffic. Are p-platers just getting more crazy in Canberra since I left 5 years ago? damn I would of hated to be first at the scene if he did hit the on comming car.

Off topic here. Hi GTR032, I just noticed that you had the trust PE2 which from memory is 3 inches, does that restrict you in anyway since you have GTSS's also were you pulled over for an inspection on parramatta road last month on a friday night? Michael

yep, sorry I've been a member for awhile just going through the forums and only recently started posting after I got my car. I'll presume that he either has 2 cars, the dyno information is wrong or it is a tongue in cheek joke for the other guys thread about 300rwkw with no mods mentioned. edit: ok I get it now, for a second I thought he was serious. haha, must of been a timing thing but all you had was "shows what you know" there before.

Hmm, I don't get this. I thought nick has a R33 GTR, but the dyno graph says GTST and also it's on the 23/11/02.

Am I correct in saying that it still has an airbag? edit: whoops, just read the ebay description and yes it has an airbag but what for??

I just recently got an Apline CDA 9853 off ebay for $459+$30 shipping and insurance. works pretty good, just got to fix this crappy radio reception.

Yep, I'd like to know the question aswell. My climate control in my R32 has never been working right since I got the car. I've had it retro fitted, regassed and temp sensor replaced but it still blows hot air all the time. I get around it by using the windscreen option (for some reason it actually blows cold air from that setting).

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I was doing a seach on 'tinting' is there still any deals going on? I'm interested in getting my car tinted but don't know if it's too late for this one.

Those Ultimas look pretty impressive (dont' know how liveable they would be) but I was at work at norwest and one came up the road and around a round about pretty quickly but I doubt it was anywhere near it's limits. Just curious how many street driven ultima GTRs are there in oz? I doubt there would be any F1 GTR or CLK GTRs in australia. but I could be wrong.
