Yer I heard that hairspray doesn't work on speed cameras. but the things about speed cameras are, if you've been past that road before and know it's there, just slow down for 100 metres or so and speed up again if you want. My friend bought an interesting device from taiwan that fits above the number plate. It's basically some type of light sensor with a flash attached to it. If it detects a flash (from the first flash of a speed camera) it will flash itself and the numberplate is hidden. Cops wont' see it either. He tested it out with a normal hand held camera and it worked, but with red-eye reduction the sensor got confused with the multiple flashes.

I have twin HKS super BOV, surprisingly they are not that loud with 14 psi. but they came with the car. only thing I don't like is that they are way too 'out there' if a cop opens the bonnet.

Yer Tony, I've still got a FTO and go into the FTOAUSTRALIA forum every so often and there are guys there that have transplated VR-4 Engines into them (at least 2 that I nkow fo, probably more). but they usually change them to singel turbos. just heard today there was a FTO with racelogic traction control today getting 13.2 quarter and 2.0 60ft time. Not bad for a FTO.

I dont' normally post here since I see at least 1 or 2 skylines everyday on the way to work, but today was special. Within 10-15 minutes, on parramatta road then james russe and then old windsor road I spotted Red R33 series 1 kitted with a red GT wing Maroon R32 GTR with black front lip (might be australian delivery one) had a sticker on the middle top of windscreen. White R33 series 2 Silver R33 with black bonnet Black R33 (ZIA-658) black with rear left damage and green p's also at my work Grey R33 (R33-SKY) that parkes there reguarly and Black R32 GTR (workmates) It seems like Skylines are breeding like rabbits in sydney. PS. my car is a white R32 GTR with a low ARC GT wing. (ATI-33A)

I think if there was an aftermarket kit that got rid of the nose it would looks pretty good. but as always, have to see it in the flesh to judge what it's really like.

Hi, I am still interested in one of these. is it possible to just to go to dick smiths' and get a little box with 2 buttons and a led and attach the tsc to that? also for anyone that has used ti for track work and they give different lap times for different settings? thanks.

Just curious, I was at the autosaloon and they were selling ARC box filters. Would this be legal in NSW? or would it be treated just like a pod filter? Obviously any police seeing an ARC box would know it's not standard. also are they any better than pods?

Hmm, I still really don't think limiting power is going to fix much problems. personally I prefer harsher punishment. I just had an example last night getting home from work, going 90 in james russe when a P plated nissan pulsar was zooming in and out of traffic as around 140. and a pulsar will be within any restrictions they plan to impose.

Thanks for the Info. So it is actually not a redline redline limit that dictates the top speed. There for if the environment was right, eg, very straight road/track and you decided to test your top speed, it won't hurt your engine as much as using a car for drag.?

But seriously, my friend tried to take a picture once when I got pulled over with a camera and he said that we weren't allowed to for security reasons (eg. if he had a photo of him we could get someone to do something bad to him - not in those words).

Actually, Is it legal to tell them they are being recorded? Eg. I use a O2 XDA2 (PDA phone), if I am ever pulled over by the police. am I allowed to say "Sir, before you say anything, this conversation is being recorded, how can I help you officer?" is that legal?

I was in the same situation as you. wanted a seat cover, but didn't want any logos on it. I manage to get a set of red ones with no logo at Flemmington markets for $40. Not bad so far, would of prefered them to be more fitted but it's just the same as the other slip on ones. apparently they have them for the rear seats aswell. I'll be checking it out later.

I have a 320KMPH nismo speedo on my R32 GTR 2 speed manual and an apexi multichecker. when I'm going 120 on the speedo the multichecker reads only 111 ish. but the speedo feels more right. Is there a way to check which one is more correct? Also I read that a stock R32 GTR can get up to 250kmph max, is this a gearing issue? I've been over 200 and it's not that close to the redline.

Just curious about 3 inch titanium exhuasts. Can they support the power from an R32 GTR with 2530's? and how many db's would that be?

Hi Guys, Something werid happened to me the other day and just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and is it serious. I was just driving along (tank almost empty - don't know if this makes a difference). When I stopped at the lights and the Torque Split gauge moved up to 30% for no reason while stationary. As soon as I start moving, it drops back down to 0% and moves back up to 5% ish as usual. This happens another 2 more at another 2 sets of lights and then never happened again. Anyone experienced this before? thanks.

Here is my story. I have a riced up FTO with ACT rego and driving it in sydney. So police pulled me over and gave me a defect for 3 things (fake bonnet clips, bright white parkers-slight bluish tinge, and headlight eye lids and even tried to defect me for my bonnet painted black) Yes it's pretty rice. The funny thing is they didn't defect me for the pod filter. anyway, after fixing these things up and paying some mechanic 5 seconds worth of work to say it's all ok. I rock down to the RTA to get it certified that it's all fixed. the lady told me the cop didn't even record it on the system and shouldn't be defecting me unless it was a major defect(non roadworthy). So the police was just being a prick and wasted my time and money. Hope none of you guys get into this problem.

I got 470 out of 66.17 litres for my R32 GTR. that's stock intercooler, pod filters, 3.5 inch cat back and running 14 psi. So mine doesn't sound that bad afterall.

Thanks for that Sprinta, I still can't tell the difference, so if it's good enough to fool me, hopefully it's good enuogh to fool most people (I think they just look better anyway). Did you have much problem putting the povo pack lights in?

Hi Guys, Just wondering how others Fuel Efficiency is going. I recently got my 89 GTR and haven't had a chance to dyno tune it yet. I just refuelled yesterday. 470km for 66.17 litres of optimax. That makes it around 14litres/100km Now I try to keep the revs between 2 and 3K and only giving it abit of a squirt once or twice a day. Does this sound about right? mods - 3.5 cat back, pod filters, 14 psi. thanks

Sorry just read through the thread but I still don't know the difference between GTS headlights and N1. I've got a 89 GTR with the projector headlight (circle in the middle) and bought a set of GTS headlights (the sqaure and retangle) ones from just jap for $300 last week. So will I have any problems putting them on(other than the clips)? I haven't had a chance to try yet. Also has anyone replaced their GTR side indicators (all orange) with the GTS ones (Clear with just a small orange indicator) before? The guy at just jap said they won't fit because of the guard. anyone tried? Thanks

Franks, great photos, can I ask where you took them? and did you just leave the shutter open longer or did you bring your own lights? Got to admit I love the Bozzspeed front bar for the FTO, don't think it would suit a skylines nose though. I'm impartial to abit of rice.
