  1. Unlucky weekends. what gets me ticked off is just a string of little things that adds up to be really annoying. just this weekend in the FTO in Sydney. -350Z would not move out of the way in a no stopping zone, forcing me to go around and scrapping my mags -cracking my front lip on those extra high concrete blocks in sydney carparks (I was tired, it was dark). -Alternator failing, having to rev to 3.5K to get the battery light to go off -Traffic accidents at M5 tollgate which delays your trip by extra 1 hour. At least I get to drive my friends R33 series II GTS-T for a couple of days until the Alernator gets reconditioned.
  2. Yer spotted Gunmetal R32 GTR YDZ-00W which white enkei's yesterday lunch time at Tuggernong anyone here? was checking out your tyres, 255X40R17, are they 17x9's? I think I'll have to change my 245's to 255's next time I get tyres.
  3. Hey Welcome Alex, good to see the owner of that GTR here, i've spotted it a couple of time watching movies in Woden and checked it out. very nice. Can I ask what year your GTR is? it has a different side skirt than mine and wondering if it was aftermarket.
  4. Sorry I got a different understanding of how it works. Maybe I'm mistaken. but my idea is like this. GTR's have 2 g sensors underneather the console near the hand brake. Normally in a Straight line, If the GTR loses Traction to the rear wheels it sends upto %50 of it's power(depending on transfer case) to the front. But due to the engineers wanting to make the GTR handle more like a RWD around corners. it uses the G sensors to determine how hard of a corner your turning. The higher the G's the less power it sends to the front wheel there for making it behave more like a RWD. My understanding is that the TSC changes the signal it sends to think that the car is not doing as much G's there for sending more power to the front to behave more like an AWD. So on level 10 the car would always think it is going straight and send up to %50 power to the front and on a level 1 the car will still snap out if you do a big corner since less power is sent to the front because it senses higher G's and wants to be a RWD. So when the car is in a Straight line it is still all RWD unless it loses traction and not full time AWD. Maybe I'm rambling too much and got the wrong idea, but I got one and it works pretty good for me. Mayeb it's time for me to read the whole thread again.
  5. The TSC actually doesn't turn the car into a full time 4WD what it does it basically makes more use of the G-sensors to detect how hard you and turning and you can adjust how much power you want to the front wheels. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...9301&hl=tsc hopefully it will be useful for you.
  6. Cool, looks like you have the same Alpine head unit as me. Congradulations on the purchase and I really recommend the torque split controller from Duncan. Saves the backend snapping out so often.
  7. Damn, after all the efforts, I got rejected from over 8 ISPs. Looks like since I'm 4kms from the Weston Creek exchange no one can supply me with ADSL1 or ADSL2. pissing me off alittle since they all say they can supply it, but when they try to connect they can't. I'll have to go for Cable either via Telstra or Transact. Even Optus doesn't supply Cable there. Life is sucking alot at the moment, no Net, no GTR, no spare time, Grrrrrr. Hope no one else out there has as much problem as me.
  8. Actually, I got a similar story to this. Was walking in with my sister through civic bus interchange and we walked pasted a shelter with a girls wallet on a seat and a drunk guy about 1 metre away from it. My sister picked it up and it was obvious some girl left it there when catching a bus. She went through it for contact details and found there was over $1000 in it. She did the right thing and rang the girl up, she was totally drunk and asked her to drive it over to her house, which my sister was kind enough to do. but when she went to her house, all the lights were out and no one answer the door bell. only when she went around the back was when she found the owner, after returning it, she didn't even get a real thanks or reward. Alot of effort on my sisters part with no much graditute.
  9. Thanks guys for the info. Went with IInet transit plan in the end after ringing around with no luck with ADSL2. just hope it all works.
  10. Thanks, but already have and even did a search on 'Weston' and there wasn't much. Also did a search on what providers were available for my number, but just want to see what people around the area think and have. cheers
  11. Ok, I know this is not a very car issue, but hoping someone can help me here. I've sorta recently moved to the suburb of Fisher and just got my phopne line connected. Telstra told me that they could supply ADSL2 from the Weston Creek Exchange. Now being as expensive as Bigpond is I've been trying to find another ADSL2 provider with not much luck at all. (all said no, except for Exetel which said they don't have any ports left and need to wait for someone to cancel their account first) so 2 questions, 1) anyone out in Weston Creek Exchange with ADSL2 and if so, who with? 2) if no ADSL2, who do you guys go with for normal ADSL? Cheers Michael
  12. gadget (as in go-go gadget)
  13. Hi guys, just wondering if anyone can give me some info on purchasing flares. What happened was I purchased TE-37's 17X9+15 for my R32 GTR instead of the usual 17X9+22. This was ok for awhile as my chamber had the tyres behind the guards, but as I went for a wheel alignment and got them closer to 0 degress, the wheel stuck out past the guard. I had a quick look through carmate but couldn't find some flares to suit a skyline. can anyone suggest any other places to search and know how much they are, thanks. Michael
  14. Hey guys, I don't know if I'm slow or not, but on Saturday I just noticed the New speed cameras on the parkway. maybe 2-3 KM's away from the woden turnoff from City and one opposite site. The last time I heard, these were still in concideration. but obviously they are definately happening now. Anyone been caught by them yet?
