Im wondering if anyone can help
My mate decided to wash his engine bay the other day and when he turned the car off the car just died half way through the turbo timer countdown. He tried to start it and it wouldnt start and when it eventually did it idled very low like around 400-500 rpm and was constantly dieing. We turned up the idle screw on the throttle body to get it to run at around 750-800rpm.
Took it for a drive, everything seemed fine but when we turned the ignition off it did the same thing, was really hard to start.
I turned the idle up even more and it seemed to only have trouble starting when it was left for a while
Its obviously got water in somewhere so we pulled the coil pack cover off and all the coil packs were bone dry, undid every electrical plug that we could see and blew it out with the compressor, cleaned panel filter just incase any water got in there.
Still the problem is there. Any suggestions?
