Ive got 4 models, bought them all from ebay. 1 mines 260rs, 1 fire department squad car, 1 rs4v and the rare one the dolphin 260rs which i dont think they make anymore. Your best bet is ebay but the the postage is pretty dear. Do a worldwide search and they should come up but be quick as i think theres only limited numbers left. They are good quality models. Good luck Stu

Anyway 2day was supposed to be the day i got my car dynoed with with my brand new power fc. My mechanic instaled the power fc and aparently theres a fault with it. He cant get the engine light to go off. Im pissed off because im going away to tassie for 2 weeks at the end of the year and i would of liked a bit more power to go with.

How Much Power Should I Be Expecting
sturb25 replied to sturb25's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Thanks Sorry forgot to mention that it has a 3 inch front pipe and high flow cat, just standard cat back. Are the fuel pumps easy to get to? Yeah its a manual wouldnt have an auto, couldnt have an auto!!! -
I bought a series 2 about a year ago and did my 1st 2 mods on it when i bought it which was a pod filter and split fire coil packs. Since then ive bought a power fc and a gfb manual boost controller. my standard dyno figure was 100awkw without pod and coil packs and 110awkw with pod and coil packs. how much power should i be expecting with the powerfc and boost controller? Remembering i dont have an aftermarket exhaust and intercooler. Also i have a bosch fuel pump, do u advise that i put this in b4 i get it dynoed or will the standard pump be ok as im not going to get maximum power out of it due to not having an exhaust and intercooler.

Im changing my timing belt 2morrow cause my stag finaly clicked over 100,000km the other day. Im right with the belt itself but ive just got a question about the cooling system if anyone can help. ive got to pull the radiator out to do this job and was wondering if the bolt at the top of the engine next to the inlet manifold with tubes coming out of under it is a bleed valve for your cooling system cause i know that the r33 has one in nearly the same spot. I presume that it has to be bled to get all the air out of it. Can anyone confirm this and tell me how i should do it properly?

Rebuilt Rb25det Only 15000km Old

Is this price to high? -
I have an RB25DET and full engine loom for sale in a few weeks and i was wondering if anyone was interested in it. Its only done 15,000km since it was rebuilt and i have receipts for $6005 on rebuild. I used the original pistons as they were still good. All machine work was carried out by Merv Gray Auto Parts and Machine Shop in Launceston Tasmainia. Ill take a photo of the receipt so you can see what they did. The Engine was assembled by Stuart Willcock, a good mate of mine who has done many engine rebuilds and engine conversions. The reason im selling this engine is i need money and i dont need the engine anymore as its been sitting in my shed for a bit longer than a year on the stand after having it in a standard vl and i pulled it out because it destroyed the standard gearbox and diff so rather than spend another 5 or 6 thousands on it i bought a stagea. The engine has 4 dyno sheets with it starting at 7psi 153.6rwkw when being run in through to 12psi 194.8rwkw this was made with Haltech E6X, Haltech boost controller and full 3inch custom exhaust. Also after i pulled it out of my vl i pulled the head off and the cams out because i didnt know what i was going to do with it because its bad for the valve springs compressed when you leave an engine round for long periods of time. When i had the head off i took the time to take photos of the bores to show that it still has prominent hone marks to show anybody that is interseted that it is a fresh engine. Also seeing as though i had the head sitting round for so long off the engine i decided to take it in to my local machine shop and have it checked. They pulled it apart and checked it and replaced the valve stem seals. I also have receipts for that as well. Ive been assembling the engine over the last week and its nearly all together. Theres still a few things that ive got to do that might take a couple of weeks as im working out of town next week and cant get the parts. These things are as follows. need to remove snapped dump pipe stud, need 2 oil feed line gaskets. one from turbo and one from block to head and need oil breather transfer hose from cam cover to cam cover. I want to make sure everything is good and fixed before i sell it. Also the engine comes with starter motor and alternator. There wont be a thing to be spent on this engine as it has all been done. Your welcome to do any test u like on it. Im looking for around $4000. Anybody interested Heres some photos. Any questions feel free to ask. I think ive answered all of them though

I recently pulled my rb25 head off and pulled the cams out and while i was inspecting the valves 6 of the lifters fell out and im not sure what order they went back in. When i took the head in to the machine shop to get it checked they took out all the rest of them out and they told me they needed to be either replaced or bled before i put them back in. Now being hydralic i thought that they would reset themselves, Do they? Also the engine is a fresh engine with about 15,000km on it. U would think being that fresh that they would all be the same right? If they do need to be bled does anyone know how to bleed them? Can anyone help or does anyone know what i should do?
