Thanks My car is a manual so it doesnt have a dipstick that goes to the gearbox. Yeah i know how to do a engine oil change ive been doing mine for about 15years, thats not the issue. If thats the case with the diffs. Im sure that i can clean and replace cover gaskets. I have built 4 engines from complete pull downs and never had any problems. I pretty much now what to do but im just confirming my thoughts, its better to get a few opinions. Thanks Stu

Its not rocket science, im sure i can figure it out and do a better job of it than most mechanics. ive been screwed around by so many. If its out of my league i wont touch it, im not that stupid. Its only changing oil
-
Im going to atempt to change my oils and im wondering how you do it, i know the gearbox has a drain plug which has a square type socket in it but thats all i know. where is the filler plug? Where are the drain plugs and filler plugs in the front and rear diffs? and the same for the transfer case? How much do you put in it? What oils do u use for them all?

Did a search and i had a look for about an hour, couldnt find anything on c34. It would be good if i could get my hands on it. Thanks Stu

The infamous brad from boost auto, i would never recomend anyone to go to him. He f*&ked my car and hes done the same to one of my mates. It cost me a lot of money and time to fix what he did to my vl with with rb25det. He recomended that i buy a haltech so i did and it was the dodgyest tune ive ever seen, he reckoned that it was producing 188rwkw. When i got to melbourne and got the problems fixed he created they said that the power figure was 140rwkw, i dont know where brad got 188 from. Anyway they got 205rwkw and it was 100% more driveable than the shit tune brad did. He wired up my mates thermo fan the wrong way and my mate cooked his $30,000 engine, wasnt inpressed and ive heard of so many other people that hes screwed around. Doesnt know what hes doing, way out of his league i think.

Ive sent the translation place numerous emails over the last year because as far as i am concerned we have the number up to get this published. Im gettin sic of waiting and the last email i got from them says to me that they arent going to publish, here it is: Hello We may or we may offer another option, we will be in touch with all who have registered their interest. Regards Michael McCarthy (Director) The second email i got from them said that they will definately be publishing, now its we MAY Let me know what you think and if someone else or a few of you could email them about it and maybe u can get a better answer. http://www.jpnz.co.nz/formwcs0130915/tn-contact-us.html Thats the direct link to there contact The other option im thinking of doing is buying a japanese manual and having it translated myself. Of course it wont be as good as a published book but that will be good enough for me.

Is urs a manual or auto?

My stagea is a manual and i dont believe its the same issue, as mine does it anytime, doesnt have to be under hard accecleration but accerating normally it does it and my shake it not really from the steering column, its the whole car, and it always happens at a slower sort of speed say from 20-80km/h. checked attessa fluid level and its all good.
-
Havent checked fluid levels but i will straight away sortly and get back to you. yeah sorta, its hard to tell cause the small shake that it makes is so minimal compared to the shaking that was made when i had the space saver on
-
With front mount and exhaust and boost controller i pressume.
-
Im just about to buy a nistune board for my stag and im wondering what they are like? If they are easy to tune? What sort of power your getting out of them with what mods? for the price they are they seem like a good alternative to spending thousand on a computer.
-
Sorry i should of been more explanitory with it, tyres and reasonably new with correct tyre pressures an have all been balanced recently. The shake is small vibration that can be felt through every part of the car and get worse if i excelerate more when it happens and disapears as soon as i take my foot off the accelerator and then doesnt happen again. Its totally random when it happens and it doesnt happen very often. I do alot of driving so i cant really have a mate follow me round for 2 - 3 weeks hopeing this shake will occur. It has become more fequent. Im not sure but it could be related to the attessa system as i drove it with the spare tyre on for around 3km and when i did the whole car was shaking violently 100x more than when it does it now due to the fact the tyre being 30mm smaller in height than my stock wheels, when that happened the torque gauge was on permenently. I cant remember if it gotten worse since then for the simple fact is that its very very occasional but it does seem to be getting worse and was there before i did that. It feels to me as though something is off balance to do with the engine or drive train just by the way it happens but if you would think if that was the case it would do it all the time. It doesnt feel like rough/surging engine because it doesnt seem to affect power but if i put my foot down it does seem to get worse Hope that answers all your questions. Stu

Im wondering if anyone can help, it seems to be getting alot more fequent. The whole car is shaking under acceleration its happened about 5 times over the last month, it first did it about 2 years ago and as soon as you take your foot off it doesnt do it again Before it started becoming regualar its happened like about 2 or 3 time in the last 2 years. Im just wondering what it could be cause if i take it the the mechanics it will more than likely wont do it.

Will the NGK BCPR6ES go in my series 2. Do they come pre gapped to 0.8mm? if not how do u do it safely?
-
Spare in a bottle? what do u mean? id rather walk home and pay for a tow truck than use my spare.
-
yeah same as mine mate, i had issues with using mine the other day hense why im asking. f**kn nissan, hopeless. The least they could do is make a space saver that works and wont cause damage to your car. They have thought of everything else when designing the stag. I booked my trip at the end of the year so we will have to catch up.......
-
I realise that and its fixed, but i dont alot of driving around Australia and i dont want to get stuck somewhere where i cant use my spare. The only solution a tyre shop can give me is to buy another full size wheel which isnt really an option as i will lose the room that i need in the back of my car, hense the posts to try and get this sorted.
-
Can u check what size ur space saver spare tyre is cause mine is the wrong size and im wondering if they are all the same, cause if they are nissan sux. Its a pain in tha arse.
-
yeah but it would be a pain in the but getting towed if i get a puncture, i like to be able to get these situations sorted myself but if i cant get a spare sorted out i might have to enquire about getting a racv membership cause i know they give you free tow if your car breaks down. As for the ford wrecker im not sure even if the falcons have space savers, im pretty sure they do but not 100% and i bet you if i find one that it doesnt have the correct size tyre on it. So that leads me to trying to source a tyre which could be a mission in itself as when i got my tyre back from the tyre joint today i asked about getting a space saver and they said you cant buy them, go see the car manufacturer. I imagine that the tyre being on the front would be less of an issue also being that the front diff doesnt actually engauge unless your back wheels start to brake traction. Not sure about that though cause they do require a 4wd dyno and when you have them on the dyno all the wheels spin.
-
I did a comparison between my stock 17inch alloys and my space saver today and theres 30mm difference which explains alot why my torque gauge if going of its nut, not good for the system. Maybe it might be worth me seeing if i can get on off a falcon or something that has 17inch rims and would have a 17inch space saver. otherwise im stuffed if i get a puncture anywhere.
-
So how do i find out what size my spare should be so its the same rolling diameter as my other wheels
-
I had to put on my spare wheel today due to a dredded puncture. I think its the wrong size, i mean i know its a different rolling diameter to my other tyres because its throwing my torque gauge on permenently which cant be good, and its also making my car shudder so much which could be due to being off balance. Anyway my tyres on the car are 225/50 R17's My space saver reads T125/90 D16 Now i presume that its basicly the same measurement system the 125 means width the 90 means profile and the D16 is the size of the diamter of the rim Now would i be right in saying that because the rim dia is smaller by an inch my profile should be bigger by an inch making that a profile size of 60 not 90. just need confirmation of what size my space saver my car should have whit my tyres?
