Hey Nathan, I got it sorted, what I thought was the year was just the engine capacity. I was told it was the year but didn't look close enough. I did FAST it and that matches the 95/07 build date I found. Damo I just like the looks of them. Not sure how/if it'll effect driving or vision, but I love the looks of them, as long as they're the proper ones (and not just the simple fold over type). Not like you can see much, but I know there are some dodgy ones, I like this kind:

I guess I fit into that noob section Just checked, it is 1998CC (stupid me) and was made 1995/07. I never really looked too closely at the plate and it was the previous owner who pointed it out to me and said it was the build date. Rims are still a while off, hardly have enough money to pay for stamp duty OR insurance! First will probably be side window visors, head unit, Type X spoiler, and either tint current lights or get Type X lights. Not in any particular order. I just need to wait for my bank account to build back up again. PS: I love my car.

Spotted a bunch of skylines and a purple sil80 down the bay today. Caught up with a red surpra and grey 33 today, oh and a blue rex while driving with mike in the 34 and kahli in her 32. The bay was insanely busy today, the traffic was banked up from the beach end of Jetty road almsot ot the traffic lights at one stage!

Well since I'm a 17 year old male driving a turbo, comprehensive was something insane like $3k a year and I don't wanna know the excess. So third party property, fire and theft is about $530 or something with an excess of about $1700 for an accident, and $1150 for fire and theft.

Thanks Steve, its actually got a Cyclops alarm, so its alright, will keep the tint in mind. Unfortunately I gotta wait a while before I can spend any on it, as I did have to pay cash so my bank account is very low. Unlike most people my age, I have to pay for it myself.

Hey everyone, Well ITs been a LONG time since I decided I was serious about wanting an import. I couldn't do anything until I sold my first car (Subaru Liberty) so I sold that, which was about 3 months ago. I was looking at mainly R32's, R33's, S13's (although not preferable) and 180SX's, with the odd glance at Stagea's or a Toyota of some description. After MANY arguements with Dad about Turbo's he finally agreed to letting me own a 4cyl Turbo, and I found one. Its a 1998 (according to ID Plate, 1995 according to rego???) 180SX. Its done 111,xxx km's and the only mods are the clear tail lights, 3inch cat back exhaust and coilovers. The guy gave me the stock tail lights incase I wanted to change them, but might leave it for now. Overall its in good condition, there is a few chips that have been covered on the roof and a few small scratches, but only noticable if you're really looking. The drivers seat is slightly pushed in/squashed from getting in and out but the inteerior is in great condition also. It runs well and the gears are nice, but I wouldn't know much as it is my first. I picked it up saturday morning and not driven manual for a good couple of weeks (been driving my sisters car around the block every now and then) I managed to stall it leaving the guys house But now I'm doing a lot better and a lot smoother. Anyway I didn't tell ANY of my mates and since my two best mates were coming back from QLD that night, I ddecided to go pick them up in it, what a surprise haha! So I've been driving it around all weekend, stupid idea was a bay run today. Insane traffic banked up. Getting used to it slowly. Now with the year mix ups, I just got a mate to Nissan FAST it using the VIN, and it said it was made in 95/07. Why would the ID plate say 98 but the VIN from the same plate say its a 95 (which is what it is rego'd as). Very confusing, is there anything I can check to determine the year? Did they even make non type X models in 98? My original theory was they sold all the Type X bits and replaced them with standard parts, but thats obviously not right. Anyone know why it'd have 98 stamped in? But anyway, it drives, so here's a few quick snaps from my phone over the weekend: I will post better pics when I take them (probably next weekend). Well just got home from mates house. Went over there about 12 where everyone was. Took my mate and his girlfriend for a drive in my new car to the swervo for a Mother, came back then went with two fo my mates (Kahli R32 and Mike R34) for a bit of a cruise, caught up with a Supra, R33 and WRX then went for a bay cruise (WTF! Traffic banked up from end of Jetty road back to the lights!). Then went to beach with all the cars to see my friends, then thats about it, showed off my car to my mates, gave them a ride, hung around and got a bit red from the sun. School tomorrow...

Picked up my first import yesterday morning, drove it around (in an ugly style...first manual car, just smoothing out the kinks) then went to the beach all day with my mates and chickettes. Plans for today: beach with mates and chickettes.

4-10PM for me.

I think this is a pretty damn good outcome, thanks a lot guys, very happy with it! In my opinion I think we should try to get the blotched hoodies out first and maybe if we pick them up, we can pay for the new printing while collecting the blotched ones? Whatever is easiest to organize I suppose. If the blotched hoodies are being handed out this friday night, what time will you guys be there till? Do we need any I.D as to who we are?

Hey Kien I'm Tom, the guy that was in the passenger seat of the black 34 taking a few photos. Cruise was a bit of a flop hey. Everyone was too busy doing stupid crap at Smooth, was funny as though. Did you see them tie that mattress to the Lancer as we left 1JZ Cresida

Spotted a white R34 at BP Brighton then again at the bottom of Windy point road. A red dodge viper also showed up at windy point while we were there.

Not long now, hopefully a few people show up for some good photos. Can't wait, I can smell the BBQ already!

The guys have done and lot of work and given up their own time to do this, thanks guys. Even though its been a while with no hoodies or updates, I doubt Adrian And Damo are just sitting around twiddling their thumbs. I trust them (although I haven't even met them!) and I'm not complaining about this. I know something is happening and eventually we will get our hoodies. If its next week or next month, or even a few months time, we will get them and whatever the wait is, I'm sure its definitely for a good reason. If we get the hoodies as they are now in a months time, well at least we know they tried to do something. I don't care how long it takes, to do something right, it sometimes takes time. Everyone just needs to stop complaining and wait patiently, like the majority of the 87 or however many people ordered a hoodie. Stop asking for updates, when progress is made (as in when we can get them), I'm sure we will be informed. On that note, lets close this thread and close any others that get opened for useless complaining. Tom.
