There is always going to be room in the market place for both types, the high end expensive stuff, and the cheaper chinese stuff. Everyone has a different requirement.
I have 3 Hobao 1/8 Buggies, Thunder Tiger TS4N 1/10 onroad and an HSP nitro drifter, and as well as some boats.
I would not be prepared to race an HSP onroad but as a drifter it is so much fun.
Tuning the .18 in the is far easier than the .12 in the TS4N.
If Skyhigh33 is who I think it is, then I have bought RC vehicles and parts from him, and saying he is like a "used car salesman trying to sell a lemon" is ill informed and ludicrous. The service and value has been, without exception, brilliant. You appear more like a dodgy insurance salesman rubbishing everyone elses product without any reference to the facts.
Sure the Cheaper stuff is not for everyone, but who wants to spend thousands on what may be a passing fancy and having a little fun in the local carpark once every three months. If you are serious then, fine, buy a top shelf unit, if you want something to muck around with with the local kids, maybe the pov pack will do!
