  1. Item: R32 RB25DE non vct head Age: Condition: excellent Price: offer To Fit: (What car) rb30/rb25 Location: new zealand Contact: god_of_skylinez@hotmail.com Comments: professionally pulled apart been dipped to clean up vacuum tested pressure/crack tested all is fine for a power build. note: its in bits atm but everything is there to put back together or if you are planing to port/polish then that can be done with ease.
  2. is this for a set of two cam gears or just one single one?
  3. Item: rb25de non vct cylinder head Condition: excellent Price: 650 ono To Fit: (What car) rb30 Location: Hamilton N.Z Contact: 0211445437 Comments: professionally pulled apart been dipped to clean up vacuum tested pressure/crack tested all is fine for a power build. does need putting back together unless planning on porting/polishing etc. All is there to put back together valves/springs/stems etc. photos are available. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=182092258
  4. i only have manifolds for one of them which im using for myself. how much do you think i could get just for the single head which is unassembled? A guy has offered me 450 in bits for the r32 head?
  5. hey all, slightly off topic but im in n.z and i have a spare r32 non vct rb25de head that im thinking about selling, just wondering how much should i sell it for? i have had it vacuum tested,crack/pressure tested and have had the valves all checked and have had it dipped to clean it all up. Only thing wrong is the exhaust valve guides have a tiny bit of play in it. The head is disassembled also but everything is there to put it back together i.e springs, valves, camshaft, gears etc. I also have a r33 vct head that im thinking about selling what sort of price could i get for that? would it differ compared to the r32 as the r32 head are harder to find?
  6. anyone know where i can get some cheapish heavy duty valve springs for a r33 rb25de head? in n.z by the way.
  7. yeh i would suggest the rb25det oil pump few of the guys suggested that to me also. you should get 200 at the wheels easy just whacking it together, some guys on the forums are talking fairly big numbers, but even saying that iv been told the factory bottom end can hold upto 500hp. I saying that say you spend 1g max putting the 30 together on a very cheap its not gonna hurt as much as spending 5-6k and blowing it up right? you should use a thicker gasket maybe?just an idea but im planning on using a multi layer rb26dett. Im planning on using restricters with the 25det oil pump? Is this right/wrong?
  8. I know a couple of guys who have whacked together something rough and cheap, seems to be working fine for them pushing decent power? You looking into doing it yourself?
  9. im not planning on reving more then 7000rpm maybe 6000 6500 max is it suitable? so you reckon just to whack the std rod in, i have been told about penning? kind of just touched on and also sanding the rods? Yes no? been told its a cheap effective way
  10. hey does any1 have a .doc file or anything in regards to how to strengthen the standard rods? Am looking at around 500hp for my 30det have forged pistons but planning on strengthening the standard rods as i hav been told that they are tough
  11. while we are on the subject of oil pumps? may i ask whats suitable for my set up? Im planning around around 350-400kw and was planning on using a rb25det oil pump as I have a r33 25t at my disposal and was just going to pull the oil pump of that motor or try find another 2nd hand one? Or would it be better buying a 2nd hand 26 oil pump? and also what prices would i be looking at roughly if i had to buy a new oil pump for a 25det and 26dett?
  12. oh sweet so i can use the 20det cam shafts and just chuck in after market cam gears correct? Im planning on replacing the cam shafts in future when i get more money together. The r33 head i have is basically the head with no manifolds, cams shafts or gears....hope that helps cube?
  13. I havnt decided whether to sell it or not yet, but i would be open to offers? Perhaps may sell it if i get the right price, cheers
  14. hey guys just received my r32 head last night as well, i had paid for this earlier but also bought a r33 head as it was dirt cheap but being only a bare head. I have decided to use the r33 head and am just wondering if the r32 rb25de cams are compatible with the r33 25de heads? it is a vct but am planning on disabling that. I will definitely get aftermarket cam shaft/gears in future perhaps after i have run the engine in as my funds are looking dangerously low at the moment. can any one help with this? I also have a rb20det head which i could use the cams out of if they fit? But i may purchase some aftermarket cam gears, will look into it when its time to build the head.
  15. cool thanks for your help cubes, yeh i am looking at around 300-350 kw the engine will be going into an r31 the reason i ask about the head is because i have all 3 at my disposal an r33 rb25de, rb25det and also an rb25de. so i was wanting to know which would be better to use on my build. the engine will be going into my r31
  16. hey guys just wondering if anyone could help me out with a couple of things? firstly is it true that all series 1 r33 gtst's have the smaller rb20det gearboxes in them or do they come with a big box also and second in the discussion i have been adviced to use an r33 head for better power however it has failed to mention whether to use the 25de head or 25det? i know the 25dets have larger ports etc, but whichever head i will put on the car i will get mild work done on the head, and also whether to have the vct or not? which set up works the best would be nice to hear some experiences and the different styles everyone has done and how it is working out for them. cheers
  17. well i cant seem to find anything about 26 gearbox being used on rwd cars? sorry if im being a neusence, just want to do things right with out sitting in front of the comp all night thats all
  18. is that maxing the turbo out? anyone on here selling 25det gearbox by any chance? and another question? are the 26dett gearboxes able t be modified to run on a rwd car?
  19. what type of power output is this good for?
  20. thanks for that, so stock internal it is. My original plan was to have someting between 300-350 but then thinking about forgies i thought i up the figures slightly. I guess the extra money will help pay for injectors, turbos etc. Which turbo would be suited best for this engine? I want a turbo which is responsive not something which you have to wait for and by the time it hits boost you have to change gear.
  21. so yah rekon stick with my original plan of 300-350 on stock internals? my plan is to have a car capable of running big power when i want it to but not constantly as it will most likely be used as a daily driver also.
  22. hey thanks bro, i just finished reading that thread as i looked back. Yeh i thought about using the normal gasket except i want it to be running 400kw safely, not planning on opening the engine up again in the near future not for a long time. Is that goal achievable without spending too much money? My original was only 300 but after deciding using forged pistons i thought il be able to get more power out of the engine. Will the 20det gearbox be alright if i used a heavy duty clutch and lightened flywheel?
  23. thanks mate, this is exactly what i needed to as i can get my hands on a r33 head but not a r32 for a 30 conversion. Been searching for this thing for over a week now! and some people can get completely unhelpful when they have their cars running mint.
  24. hey guys, am looking to do a 30det build myself, and been looking through the forums heaps of info and definately alot of reading which is great one way or another,i thought i would consult you guys as a few of you have already done it.well heres the story im planning on achieving 400kw the combo im planning to use is: forged pistons, race big end bearing, race main bearing,26dett multilayer head gasket, bottom end set, race piston rings, all gaskets replaced with new standard ones for my block reading through the thread its said that the standard rods are tough so i thought it wouldnt need to buy forged correct? can you see anything wrong with this set up?another issue is what head to use, i have been trying to track down a r32 rb25de head as the guide says its much easier to bolt on, but i have been told by a few people that the r33 25det head will be easier getting the power out of? can some one help. Im able to get my hands on a r33 rb25de head and planning to rebuild it with heavy duty spring etc anyway but i do not know how to disable or run oil feeds for vct is it better to keep it or get rid of it? can someone help me or guide me to somewhere it tells you how to run oil feeds and how to install a r33 head on the block? all your help will be much appreciated
