  1. Great shots these! Bells Line was definitely looking her best on Sunday.
  2. Must be frustrating Micah but it's not limited to your Bimmer, I got plenty of silly offers for my old R34 GTR as well. In the end yours will end up going to a good home I'm sure.
  3. Yeah he also directed this See you guys there at 12:30
  4. What on earth gave you the idea that it's not happening??
  5. Nah Huy, there's only about a 20 minute window for editing a post after you make it (except for mods / admin).
  6. Like how you got the gradient of the three different coloured trees in there
  7. Looks really aggressive with the Top Secret front bar Martin! Also love that plenum!!
  8. Yep not long now. Wheels has posted a starting price for the base Aussie spec at about $38K. Some internal hints from Toyota are that the price should be a pleasant surprise for the market. Just as the (perhaps equally low-volume) $45K FJ Cruiser was set at a deliberately low price point - FJs have been very hard to get in stock since their introduction last year. As Marc said there will be a significant proportion of the target market that won't even consider a used vehicle. Toyota are seeking the approval of the tuning and "car enthusiast" sector of the market however, so that the car can be seen as 'cool' (without calling it 'cool' as such) and not a haridresser's car. I'm sure many of you have seen the Gazoo Racing version of the 86, which won't make it to production (and was never intended to) however this does bode somewhat well in that it shows the forced induction potential of the setup (that there's room enough in the bay for the FI plumbing and hardware (for a turbo and a supercharger no less). I believe they needed to strengthen the gearbox as well, but if many of the other mechanical bits and pieces were left mostly stock then that's a good sign.
  9. Ta mate. Yep the non-V Black now lives in Toowoomba with a new owner. The Nur above actually has a Nismo front bar, with the R tune (Z tune) bonnet and the rest as you say. GT-Cs have just been sold; I'm currently using the LMGT4s in 19 x 10.5 +15 size. She has a few mods, standard N1 engine and turbos, Motec M800, Nismo plumbing and titanium twin exhaust, ARC filter, trust intercooler, Nismo plenum, Jun cams and cam gears, HKS EVC 6 running about 20psi, and the 380mm brake kit. A few other nice extras like a torqline CTG carbon prop shaft, Ikeya lower links, Ohlins DFV coilovers plus Yamaha chassis dampers.
  10. This makes sense. If the paint is a clearcoat type there will probably also be another layer on top to factor in. Don't think I'll be at Old Pac unfortunately mate, but maybe catch you at the next one. Btw out of curiosity did you realise putting the letters "GTR" in all caps next to each other in the thread title would result in the forums changing it to "Gtr" which is why you added spaces? So detail-minded, haha
  11. Still think it might be a better idea to leave at 1pm sharp if we're taking Bells, will leave people some time to park / check out cars / buy tickets / popcorn / use the loo, etc before the session at 3pm. But your call Juz!
  12. No not yet mate. Has been hard to find a weekend off lately, for both of us. I think Eugene uses Menzerna, but also a few other brands too.
  13. Anthony's pretty much right, I think Terry will be here soon to corroborate the cost and process of fitting the NACA duct, but it was a damn fine job that was done on the car. Being a black car, you couldn't really tell any difference from the OEM item. On the OEM you can see the outline of the carbon duct, which stands out on any other colour (like Anthony's). I did have a close up of the duct around somewhere but here's what our 'replica' bonnet looked like: Cheers Matt
  14. Nice one Anthony. Can always trust Eugene to do a top class job. Did he say that the yellow was any harder to work on than other colours?
  15. Looks fantastic with the bonnet mate. You'll have to update your sig pic now
  16. Yes indeed. Aren't you going to say "tell 'em the price son" ? The price is $3,500!
  17. They play by a different set of rules hey! At the same time I guess Ferrari drivers don't congregate in carparks and do helis on maccas trays When the boss's Aston was running I drove it through the city once or twice; just kept it in 1st gear the whole time
  18. Price drop to $3,250 for you SAU guys. Cheers, Matt
  19. Seeking serious buyers and non-ridiculous offers please. Bump! Unfortunately I'm not interested in any swaps, thanks.
  20. Still for sale at the moment. Looking for serious buyers!
  21. No probs Pat I won't be bringing the Skyline anyway so I'm not fussed but am more than happy to meet earlier and do Bells Got a reply back on FB from the Edge, they don't do seat allocation / reserved seating, but tickets are on sale now. However, it is a big cinema as those of you who attended the SAU R32 Anniversary event will know. They assure us that there should be plenty of seats for the day. Bit of Mopar to tide us over until then (stuff the 'stang I say ):
  22. Looking forward to seeing Bullitt on the big screen. Fairly important issue though; are we going via Bells Line of Road? To do this will take approximately 1 1/2 hours (1:45 if you believe Google Maps). This will mean that if you leave Penrith at 1:45 as planned you won't get to the cinema until at least 3:15; the session begins at 3:00pm. I thought that Terry was suggesting leaving Penrith around 1:45 only if we are taking the Great Western Highway which is more direct (but less interesting). Doing that will take about 1 hour, and you should get to the cinema at 2:45 in time for the 3:00pm start.
