  1. Last weekend I trial fitted the rims to an R34 GT-R with stock Brembos - they clear the calipers with plenty of room to spare! Make me an offer!
  2. Ok here we go As Terry said, at about 1:00 it's really bizarre as there's this couple standing on the side of the road who have seen the Lambo go past and now the Ferrari, and they're pointing to my 12 year old Bimmer and saying they prefer that! Haha!
  3. Yeah, it was a GTO. Well, it had the black rear cavallino, GTO badge and GTO wheels as well as a GTO number plate. Where did you snap your pic?
  4. Spotted BK1990 looking for a parking spot at La Perouse on Monday! Around 2-3pm. Nice neat looking 34R mate!
  5. http://www.redbook.com.au/cars/research/used/results?sort=default&N=4294954036%204294385234%204294954036%204294385234%202994&eapi=2&vertical=Car&silo=Spec&Range=Year%3a2011%2c2011 Redbook says $789K for the Aventador, that's excluding on roads and options! When we followed them into the valet area they got out and swapped drivers and quickly left again. Given that, and also that the two cars are so rare, it's possible they're owned by the casino (or someone associated with the Star) and they were loaned to some high rollers That was definitely strange.
  6. Spotted (and followed) a brand new matte black Aventador and 599 GTO at the Star Casino yesterday. Got some video, will have to upload later... Lambo sounded amazing.
  7. Yeah I have used it quite a bit in the past. I consider it a pretty "safe" protein powder, as in it won't really mess with my gut (no creatine), and it's made by a proven, mainstream manufacturer. I used to use it in conjunction with Musashi 92, depending on the time of day or if it coincided with my workout. The Bulk has carbs, so it's better for pre or immediately post workout, while the 92 has very few carbs so it's better as a supp before bed, in the morning if you know you're having carbs for breakfast, or just as an in-between-meals protein shot. You can definitely get both of those cheaper online rather than through the shops.
  8. I'd give you a lift Patty but I won't be coming from the city, sorry mate
  9. Nice! Gotta love those wheels!
  10. I'd be inclined to listen to GTST on this one, if youre just starting out or close to, a lot of these supplements will be a waste of time and money. Many of them are a waste of time and money even for experienced lifters. Whole foods in balance, consistently good sleep and training 3-4 days a week with good form and consistency will get you well on your way to reaching your goals. His offer for you to meet a few experienced blokes in the know is also invaluable, as you can avoid wasting, potentially, months or even years with unrealistic expectations. Talking to someone with exp. face to face and getting their advice will help with goal setting (and achievement), to no end. Good on you for making the change of lifestyle though. Good luck with it
  11. So even the motor has rust?! wtf.
  12. Oooh - Crowne Plaza... Fancy! Oooh - "plethora".... fancy! Haha
  13. Will try and make it out to this one
  14. Hey Superjet, could you PM me some photos mate? Cheers, Matt
  15. Sorry mate, I missed the earlier post about your injury. I need to stretch out the tendons and muscles in my forearms a lot as they get overloaded from leg work (gripping handles for leg extensions etc) and back work (rows and pulldowns) - sounds similar to what you're saying, they're too tight - and it's put a cap on how much I've been able to lift and as well as how often, too many times now.
  16. Sweet!!
  17. I'd just read something on this the other day, there's so much conflicting info about stretching though it's not funny. What I read which made some sense though is that if you're lifting weights, stretching before a workout has little benefit and actually pushing the muscles to the extremeties of their ROM before training can actually negatively impact on how much you can lift, and maybe even make those muscles less stable during the exercise. It's more important to perform warm up sets with low weight before getting into the work sets, to get the blood flowing in the muscles to be used. After training, it's apparently okay to do some subtle active stretching (using your own muscles to produce equal and opposing forces), and not so much passive stretching (using a wall or a partner / PT to stretch your muscles to or slightly beyond ROM). This obviously applies to weight lifting specifically and not so much sprinting / running where that may call for different warm up / stretch technique.
  18. Hey Justin, glad to hear the new owner is enjoying it. Yeah we certainly try to look after our cars so it's nice that it's appreciated! I still look back at this car with fond memories And black is worth it Good luck with your search mate.
  19. Nice one Bob. Obviously even for the hundreds we pay to MyPlates every year they still can't render the preview properly to give you an accurate representation of what you're getting. My plates arrived looking more like a mustard colour but were supposed to be "gold". Fortunately I don't mind the look.
  20. We've already got one here in NSW, don't need another!
