A few from me. Admiring Jørn Utzon's genius: From VIVID last night and last week: And of the little classic in the garage, a 1980 E21 323i.

Thanks Chris and Glyn.

I also kinda ignored the Cayman, but here's a Porsche I didn't ignore. At Cavallino Cars & Coffee.

Thanks boys. Yeah I will keep an eye on it and hopefully that's hit the nail on the head. I guess they do fail with age. Not sure how old it was to be honest. Coolant was less than 1,000km old in my case, but yeah I understand there are plenty of Skylines running around with old coolant after importing from Japan. Should be one of the first things done to the car upon landing, along with a major service.

Yeah, worthwhile mentioning mate. Just can't believe a genuine Nismo item failed like that. That is, if the car continues to run well and confirms the cap as the problem.

Before I set it on fire: Obviously, in hindsight, the underside didn't look too good. The spring itself looked more or less fine, however.

Inguinal hernia? Have to insert some gauze or whatever it's called and get more sutures yeah? That sucks.

I think sprints are heaps more taxing on the body than one thinks. I did some hill sprints a few weeks back, then tried to do a leg day a couple of days later and my knees felt wrecked.

UPDATE on original post: Just did 20 minute test run with a new radiator cap (HPI). No other changes so far (original t/stat still at this stage). Ambient temps in high 20s, flowing traffic. Took car through town then on M5, steady cruise, 110kmh. Water temps did not exceed 75, with norm being low 70s. Much, much more within expected range. Returned home and put car in garage, idled, and temps slowly increased to 81-82. Turned A/C on, continued idling. Temps gradually increased to 87 max over the course of a few minutes. Seems much more normal now, no sudden / sharp increases in temp. Next steps will be to take the car on a longer drive when I have time. And potentially have the system flushed again. Charles and others - thanks again for your input, hopefully we've clinched it! Below is a pic of the old genuine Nismo cap. It does indeed look as though it had been losing some pressure... https://www.flickr.com/gp/21305018@N02/464t84

Yeah Mark don't we all... Especially those of us who have a desk job, sitting down all day wreaks havoc on the posterior chain - weak glutes and lower back, tight hammies, poor ankle mobility, hunched shoulders, etc Foam rolling is excellent, and I've tried the lacrosse ball as well. The relief afterwards is almost worth the pain of rolling... Luckily I don't get back pain when sleeping. How do you go with lower back intensive exercises like the DL, RDLs, bent over rows, good mornings?

Yeah I tried out just some hang cleans for a while and obviously I was shocking at them while starting out, but I could feel how they were hitting the traps. And it's good to work more oly-style explosiveness into the training too I believe. I don't want to end up with good size, but just really slow, and tight with flexibility issues. That explosiveness is pretty important in all the compound movements anyway hey.

Thanks for your input Charles.

Enjoyed 5/3/1 and made some good increases on a couple of PBs. I particularly noticed that by pushing myself on the OHP it benefited my bench pressing. I also like how you can opt for the BBB (boring but big) and not much about with the accessory stuff too much if you're short on time.

I'm surprised I don't look petrified in this photo, thinking that I've been done for speeding (again)! -

Great shots everyone. Love that shot of the line of cars on the Sea Cliff Bridge, Ciaron. The diversity of cars on the day was great to see (partly thanks to yours truly ) but some very nice Skylines and GT-Rs in the group. -
The thing has done hardly any kilometres.
