  1. Nice looking car mate. How many kilometres in total?
  2. What the...? I had to go and look that up, haha. But yeah it's a great little tool, costs a few bucks but worth it IMO
  3. Awesome pics Craig. It's surreal seeing so many 34 GTRs together like that! More pics of the N1? Pics of Terry's N1 were taken with an iPhone and edited on the phone using Snapseed - definitely recommend this app.
  4. One tough looking GTR! - saw this in person at the All Jap Day 2011. Gotta love those Bride seats. GL with the sale Chuey Matt
  5. Hey Nick, Nope, didn't come with the sump cover from what I recall. Double check with them, but I'm pretty sure no - and yeah the GTR didn't have one stock as it wasn't a V.
  6. I thought these would be gone by now
  7. Thanks a lot Marty, you've got a good memory! It was in Motive Dvd #003 at Cootamundra, but didn't have the brake kit or R Tune bonnet at that stage The previous owners have looked after her very well and I feel pretty lucky to have stumbled upon this one.
  8. A database would be a brilliant idea I think, a registry that would hold static data (VIN #, Engine #, colour, year, model number and spec) as well as 'dipstick' data at certain points in time (kilometres and rego plate e.g. "in 2009/04 it was sold with 242,000km with lic. plate "2SIK"). Would just need to be a plain Excel file, could be kept on Exec server and updated by one or a handful of SAU people. Guys and girls interested in a specific car can ask the execs to query the database based on a parameter such as a licence plate, or VIN #; if the search returns no matches, bad luck, but otherwise it could save someone a lot of woe. The database itself would remain confidential (and no addresses or owner details for the cars would necessarily be kept). Just those details for vehicles matching specific queries would be shared with the person making the enquiry. The database could hold not only members' cars (cars we know have been owned by people on here) but also cars being sold by dealers. If one of us goes to inspect a car at a dealer without the real intention of purchasing (such as a "Nur"), gets the VIN #; it can be logged on the database for future record keeping. Again, awesome idea.
  9. Tidal data for the 19th of Feb:
  10. No worries Nick, let us know how you go, and post up some pics when you've settled on one.
  11. I love how this thread is a spotting, a setlist and a for sale thread all in one, haha Simon is a good bloke I am sure he will probably let you do a test fit with one wheel. Hope your 32 is going strong or will be soon
  12. Hey mate, I think the RE30s (the ones you like) are 18 x 9.5 +15 which means only 2mm further out on the rim, plus if you just use your tyres that youve got now it should just be the rim that protrudes slightly more, not the tyre? These would look mad on your 32 I reckon
  13. Just saw these pics - looks brilliant mate. Such a contrast in the colours, looks awesome. Also I like the new plate!
  14. Haha my old 34R is now his I'm looking forward to seeing how far he takes it. Good for you blokes to have some healthy competition going!
  15. So I believe this is similar to the CarHistory website (www.carhistory.com.au) which has been running for a little while ("Part of the Veda group" it says on the website). I used CarHistory when buying a car recently from Vic; was very useful and even showed kms at certain milestones like change of ownership (not every single one, but a few at least). Everyone should be using this system when buying *any* car.
  16. Nice work Brad! Will be following this one for sure. Also I believe you might have a contender named Reece who will be looking to outdo you with his black R34?
  17. I guess as the VL era cars get older, those cars that were bought solely to chase power and 1/4 mile times will eventually die off and the VLs that are left which will stand any chance of holding their value (aside from the HDTs / HSVs) will be the 'traditional' 5L Calais spec. There was a neat VH there as well, shaved engine bay etc; except it was beige... There was also the '8ATMAN' ute which has taken out a few ute / Nats awards I think, had a MASSIVE turbo on a worked V8 and pretty OTT airbrushing and stereo / TV in the tray. And then there were the Queen Street cars.
  18. Yeah, actually the VL was alright. 5L too.
  19. Thanks Kat! Looks like I missed some good tracks. Was going to go home, drop my car off then come back, but wouldn't have made it back in time. Still, my tickets were *free*, so I can't complain Cheers mate. Glad to hear they did a good job; but where are the pics? Quick photo of the set-up (many other cars there but nothing that anyone on this forum would get excited about I'm betting, with the exception of a very tidy, white S15 with white Work Emotions (?). Didn't get a snap unfortunately. This little Mazda B1300 ute was pretty cool as well...
  20. Thanks Ruxis, yeah I am thinking of getting it detailed again though as I'd like to know there's a good coat of sealant on there for sure for peace of mind. What songs did Soundgarden play? I was a bit of a fan when I was younger so I was a bit upset at having to miss them.
  21. RE30s were originally bought new by me and as above were sold with Terry's "R34GTR". They are the limited Formula Edition model in that unique metallic grey colour similar to the shadow chrome colour you see on the BMW E39 M5 or E46 M3. They are about 8kg each without tyres.
  22. Hey mate, yes Terry's old GTR "R34GTR" the bayside blue vspec II was at BDO, along with a collection of other interesting cars there. A bloke named Simon now owns the car, he is on here and forum name is N11SMO. I got free tix and cant complain about that, but missed out on Soundgarden and Kanye as we had to have the cars out by 7pm and didnt want to leave them outside unsecured. Living End were good though and also enjoyed hilltop hoods and a bit of Boy&Bear.
  23. Sweet, sweet car, mate! Looks like no shortcuts were taken or expense was spared... I've always wanted a red 34 GTR!
