  1. Nice shots Ian, thanks for uploading mate! How neat was that Mazda Cosmo - with the original plastic still on the doors?! I love that shot Chris. And the ones on the blog look tops too. Definitely worth a look for everyone else. I regret leaving my 50mm in the car until we had the 5 GTRs at the end of the day, but those ones of yours are a good substitute for me missing out on taking shots of the other cars there.
  2. Love your first pic of the valve springs and rockers Matt. Nice juxtaposition of Jay's panning and Matt's. I think Jay needs some more exotic subjects But otherwise I like the technique
  3. Voted Kory. GL
  4. Thanks fellas. It was bought off a nice chap from the ACT. Tim - I got you... I tend to agree, and trust someone from the photography thread to pick up on that! Attention to detail to the max Yeah Nick, the brakes were a big draw for me when looking at the car. Brakes were always something I wanted to upgrade on my old R33. I'm trying to get a bit more info on them. Keep the awesome photos coming guys!
  5. Cheers Josh. I will have to make the journey at some point. Regarding the GTRs, I guess that's the trade off - it's good that you're using yours as it was intended, to the full - on the track. I've always been a bit hesitant to take my cars to a circuit. If I happened to live near the Nurburgring though (or Spa, or any of the other great circuits) I doubt that I could resist!
  6. Thanks Simon. Do you mean because it's black, it doesn't need to be colour-coded? Or especially because it's black, it should be colour-coded? Here's a pic of my old R34 which had colour coding all the way to the bottom. Car is also for sale as it happens - make me an (reasonable) offer!
  7. Was thinking the same Steve. Thought I might be able to drop in for a bit in the morning though. But I guess the execs might need to be up north several hours before the dinner kicks off?
  8. Really like your drawings of the old Le Mans-era cars mate, like the Porsche 917. I think you should have watermarks on the pictures on the website though so no-one rips them off?
  9. Might drop in for a while if I can. In any case big congrats Garry and Jack as well as the support staff at TSI. Assuming you guys are still keeping your premises on Forge St for the imported vehicles? Matt
  10. Took a few photos of my new bambino at All Japan Day on the weekend Together with a brace of other GT-Rs... The Bayside blue one used to be owned by Terry of course; now owned by a bloke named Simon.
  11. Hey Nick, No ridiculous mods. Previous owner did do some modifications to it but made sure to keep everything easily reversible. Came with original parts for reverting to stock. I guess the basics are the original N1 block (-7s and strengthened block), Jun cam gears and cams, Motec ECU, Nismo intake piping, plenum, exhaust manifold and titanium exhaust, HKS EVC controller set at 20psi for standard running, Ohlins suspension, Ikeya links, AP racing floating discs with upgraded Brembo calipers, ATS triple carbon clutch and carbon propshaft. Fuel system is Bosch 044 + HKS fuel rail and Sard 700ccs. I haven't even had much of a chance to take it on a long drive yet! It was so hot on Sunday I looked at plenty of awesome fare at AJD but didn't take any photos aside from the GTR group we had at the end. Regret it now; there were some great photos to be had...
  12. Cheers mate. Looking forward to it . The previous owner has expressed he'd like to buy one or two prints as well, if/when we get something done.
  13. Eerie skies matt... Josh I'm looking forward to some Nordschleife photography. Did you get some shots at Flugplatz? Here's just a couple I took yesterday at All Japan Day. This baby would like to audition for Matt's next photoshoot in 2012...
  14. Trust you to have that document on file Bob Theo - good to see you and the silver bullet again. A lot of hard work put into that car! Here's a couple of Owen's 33R with BBS LMs, and Chris's 34R with TE37 SLs
  15. Saw your R31 Gerg. Very nice So the motor is an RB30 with a '26 head and the six throttle bodies? How does she go? Power output...? Shame you couldn't bring your Charger as well!
  16. Wow, exceptional job Mark. Those plates weren't coming off in a hurry! For mine, I just did the same as Terry, longer bolts with some metal spacers in between the plate and the bumper. Cut some cloth to fit and put this between the bumper and the spacers so that the paint wouldn't be damaged.
  17. Congrats Matt. Billboard looks the goods. I know I'd look at it if driving past. + 1 Jealous of Josh @ Spa. And those guys who get to drive their M3 CSL, F355, GT3RS etc through Eau Rouge... lucky sods!!!
  18. PM Replied The car now has a full 12 months rego. Early Christmas present for someone to give to themself...?
  19. Thanks for posting those pics Pauly and Bob. Some nice shots there. Great day, it was good to meet Chuey, Vlad, Jason, Chris (Bayside blue BNR34 with TE37 SLs), and Alex (PN-Mad) and a few other guys I hadn't met before. Awesome selection of cars. Thanks to the organisers for a great event. A couple more of Bob's: And the new acquisition!
  20. Awesome. We'll be picking up a few.
  21. If you mean the rocker-type switch near where your left knee would be (below and to the right of the antenna switch in the last photo above), it might be an instrument dimmer switch, they're normally a roller type switch but the one on my new 34 is a rocker-type switch similar to this one. Doesn't seem to do anything on my car either though. I think these were fitted for compliance in Australia as there needs to be an instrument dimmer control of some sort.
  22. Spectacular photos guys, well done. So crisp! Matt, you should seriously take those to some car manufacturers to see if they want some work done. I know a lot of them use overseas material and adapt for Oz, but that stuff looks 100% pro. Josh, those are awesome, something I'd definitely buy and stick up on my wall. Jay, get out there man! That one from behind the screen actually makes me think of those warm summer days when you're looking out from inside the house, pondering what to do for the day, or just staying in and doing nothing at all.
