  1. Some shots from a recent SAU photoshoot courtesy of Matt Everingham...
  2. Nice one Ian The actual pace car in 2009 would have stirred the pot a bit too:
  3. Haha thanks Nick. Spent ages writing up the ad and forgot the price for a second Cheers
  4. Hi guys, This R34 GT-R has been in our family since early 2006 (5 years). It is probably better known as Terry's old GT-R (Terry_GT-R34), which I bought at the beginning of this year. Over the 5 years it has been looked after and the mechanicals given attention wherever and whenever required, so we'll be sad to see it go. A little bit about the car: Manufactured in 2000 BNR34 GT-R (non-V.spec) Featured in CarsGuide / The Daily Telegraph, and winner of the Concourse Award at the SAU R34 10th Anniversary Event in 2009. Kilometres: 46,700 Comes with GTR-34Z premium plates. The vehicle was bought from an importer and came complete with original Japanese service history and copies of auction papers (denoting mileage at 15,2xx at the time). The history has of course been kept up to date during its time in Australia and is available for inspection. Mechanical Engine: HKS Camshaft, advanced by 2 degrees HKS F-Con Pro V ECU Blitz Double Solenoid EBC Nismo N1 Oil Pump Recently had new Splitfire coilpacks fitted Serviced every 5,000km max Monitoring: A'PEXi Rev/speed meter Blitz FATT-DC Blitz Boost gauge and peak hold display Intake / Exhaust: HKS Hard piping and pods HKS GT-RS 3" stainless dump pipes Catco high-flow cat HKS GT-RS stainless exhaust with 4.5" tip Suspension / Brakes: Tanabe Progressive springs (ride height lowered 1" from standard) DBA 4000 Fish hook slotted rotors (front) Nismo S-Tune pads (front) Project Mu pads (rear) Rays Nismo LMGT4 in bronze, 18" x 10.5", +15 offset Kumho Ecsta KU36 265/35 18 (about 80% tread est.) RAYS Duralumin lightweight nuts Has been dyno'ed at 228 AWkW. Cosmetic The car has been modified with V.spec II additions... V.spec II NACA duct V.spec front splitter (painted body colour) V.spec Carbon fibre rear diffuser Nismo side skirts Nismo rear pods V.spec II pedals (aluminium) Nismo smoked indicators front and side GT-R floor mats Updated rear Nissan badge Metal 15% window tints Audio Pioneer AVIC F310-BT Double DIN head unit with sat nav. The car has an Alpine INA-W900E currently fitted (just last weekend), I'd like to keep this for another car, but this can be added to the car as an option instead of the Pioneer, depending on price agreed. It appears to have originally been a southern-Japanese vehicle as there is no rust in the underbody as a result of salted roads, etc. and there is absolutely no rust or damage elsewhere on the vehicle. Asking price is $54,000. Feel free to ask any questions here or PM for further info. Cheers, Matt
  5. Mad! I want one!
  6. Basically looking to put the money into another car, hopefully something that's worthy of Matt Ev's camera lens.. That R34 looks super clean Lepps!
  7. Cheers Sidd. Feel free to come and inspect it / make me an offer, it'll be up for sale soon
  8. "Where'd that pesky husband get to..." haha Keep it up Pat, love pics that tell a story of sorts Nice one mate, had a play with a fisheye on my old film SLR when I was a kid, wish I had one now for my digital. Thanks Sidd. Yep I took it over early this year. Good to have a different car-subject for me, I took about a billion photos of my old 33R.
  9. Yeah that was us I think...? Surprised you remembered the colours at all mate, there were so many stageas!! Sean I was trailing you guys from a distance on the way back out west after passing the upturned Starlet - the white beast is looking the goods mate. I love the CE28Ns.
  10. And if you guys bring your other half you can get them to tell you what GTR photos are in the ladies toilets. Yes, there is framed memorabilia in the toilets!
  11. Haha thanks mate. That ability has come from prolonged staring at a black car on an A2-sized poster on my bedroom wall
  12. I will often flash. Drove down the Hume Hwy to 'Berra on the weekend, Highway Patrol had backed their car right up into a little nook to get unsuspecting people coming the other way - but the Hume has such a huge median separation flashing would be ineffective. I realised on the trip back to civilisation (NSW) later at night that the big median is great though so you can use high beam and not affect oncoming traffic...
  13. Good luck Jay. Hope you can score something that involves an outside elevator platform / carriage thing. Should be able to get some brilliant shots Just make sure you've got a good hold of your camera... On a side note, took this the other day; wanted a front-on shot for my wallpaper. Good stuff Tom Sidd - classy Pat - nice one mate. Maybe a bit of a crop... and some blur (higher aperture) for the background with your second one, to give the subject (Johnnie walkers in a pram???) more impact?
  14. Will be good to see you there mate (again) Is the dark grey beast coming to all japan day as well?
  15. Hey Tom - was great to meet you on the day and also check out some of your work on the PC. Awesome pics mate. ^^^ is my new wallpaper You should post these in the October Thread in the Photography section too. Glad that all the Stagea guys seemed to have a great day out - goes to show the weather can't put a 'dampener' on things when you've got good cars and company.
  16. Thanks Kory - yeah I reckon you'd have to watch where you step, not just for termite-eaten floorboards but also used needles, etc. Thought you'd like the building Matty. There are a couple around there, and you can get some pretty nice shots of the coast from the same location. You mustve found it real hard shooting those stags on sunday, it being so wet and slippery and all. good thing you had a mate holding you up while you stood on that pole... Seriously though should've brought a ladder in the back of the 260 to get some height for the group shot. Looking forward to the PI article.
  17. Nice pics guys. Do you know what kind of trees they are Jay? Speaking of abandoned, I came across these on a trip out to La Perouse yesterday. Bummed that I didn't have my SLR with me but took these with my iPhone (they have been worked over a fair bit with PS). I love this stuff. There are many other buildings like this one which are being destroyed in the name of new apartments and land releases as part of the Little Bay estate - was inevitable really with such amazing views over the bluffs/ocean and four A grade golf courses right next door.
  18. We were wondering how that happened as we passed it, thought there might have been another party involved as there were a couple of 4WD cops blasting pas. In the opp direction with lights on after we passed the scene so thought another driver might have taken off. Hope she's ok Ganty, mustve shaken her up quite a bit, lucky she wasnt seriously injured. By the way I thought the food (and music) was tops at the hotel we ate at... Will have to head back there some day for an SAU social event. Glad all in our group had a safe trip, though the 260RS i was driving was a bit squirrely under power!
  19. ^ Stageas aren't dogs to drive at all! There are two ex-Terry cars in that above pic, I've got the black 34 and Simon has bought the black rear wing with the bayside blue VS2 attached to it.
  20. Thanks for uploading those photos Pat. Great to meet up with some old and new faces. Thanks to all the organisers, it seemed like everyone had a great time, especially the Stagea guys (and girls). Had the pleasure of piloting a 260RS no less to Wisemans; so impressive!
  21. Would be good to see you there mate. Will be there and looking forward to it.
  22. Sounds pretty good, will try and make it out there if I can get out of work early...
  23. 6 year old Lexus IS250 - pretty classy, and should have rock solid reliability. No ball of fire, but good handling and comfort http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=11235851&__sid=12B152432A8A&__Qpb=1&Cr=2&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294965468%20396%20414%204294965467%20898&SearchAction=N&PriceFrom=396&PriceTo=414&seot=1&tsrc=allcarhome&__Nne=15&trecs=10&silo=1011
