  1. I've also taken my cars to Tony and Jim at Tunehouse and been very happy. As Eiresgaus said they're not the cheapest, but I'd rather pay a bit more for people that provide good customer service and know what they're doing, than the alternative. Haven't had a tune there, but my GTR is one of few that has an HKS FConPro V and they are a licensed HKS reseller and tuner, one of the few places in the country who can tune these apparently. They were working on one of the Z tunes [Z TUNED] a while back.
  2. Nice work Vu! I love the stance on that black R33 - looks so tough!
  3. Looks great Pat. It's amazing how much of a difference new headlights can make.
  4. Nice car mate, looks like a very tidy example, very little wear on the steering wheel as well for 12x,000km which is rare. These are great cars, plenty of go with great fuel economy too. Good luck with the sale.
  5. She's still looking good mate Still miss that car, hope she's treating you well.
  6. Looks the same colour as the R33 GTR I had; KN6 = Dark Grey Pearl (and yeah I didn't see many others in that colour). Nice car mate, good luck with the sale.
  7. Have had the privilege of driving this - a beauty and beast in one. Terry's taken a lot of care not only in looking after her but also in choosing the right upgrades and parts for it. Has astounding punch yet is also very easy to pootle about at road speeds. Kakimoto exhaust sounds amazing off the rock walls.
  8. Agree with Kat, the Gtr ensures the fuel is almost always fresh as the tank is never full for long. And another thumbs up here for the CTek charger.
  9. Awesome work Matt and I like that BCNR33 esp from the rear 3/4 angle! Wish i couldve got my GTCs to fit my 33R.
  10. So the third one will be independent of the exhaust if it's electric (not one turbo per 2 cylinders)? Interesting, wouldnt that make it more like a supercharger? Also heard theyre likely to settle on a Vee configuration as opposed to the classic inline. Shame about that
  11. Welcome Gaz. Congrats on the ride mate, looks neat!
  12. Bought my 2002 Clio Sport 1.5 years ago for $9,500 with 55,xxx kms. + Leather / alcantara seats and trim + Xenons with auto-on + Rain sensing wipers + Climate control AC + 4 airbags + Fits mountain bike + 125kW in 1035kg body = good power/weight + 0-100km/h ~7.3 sec + ABS, EBD, later models also had ESP, cruise control + I average about 8.5 to 9.0 L/100km with mostly city driving Downsides - Had to do cambelt change due to age (not kms) - ~$2K - JC5 Gearbox leaks common (usually slow leaks) - Fit / finish can be a bit sketchy - Steering wheels wear very badly - Can be temperamental on cold starts Mine's got a sunroof but those were pretty rare on 172s. Later 182s got cruise, larger 16" alloys and dual exhaust. If you have any other Qs let me know. Sometimes I don't even mind leaving the GTR at home and taking the Clio through the twisties.
  13. Nice one David. Contrast is nice Get a longer monopod so you can aim the gopro through the windows below?
  14. The thread still exists here, but there was some talk about it being rescheduled for Spring this year. Kristian would have to confirm what has happened either way
  15. Well, splitting them would also have the added benefit of those who *are*, say, very anglo, looking at your site and being able to straight away click on the Western side, if that's all they're interested in – instead of clicking into a gallery which contains both, and therefore contains pictures they're simply not interested in. And vice versa. I think it's a very good idea. Yeah. I do reckon it looks great. The look and feel of the website has a nice crisp feel to it with no overbearing details, which says something about the photographer and the product that people can expect. Navigation and load speed are fine too, even on my 1990-spec Dell work laptop. Now that's starting to freak me out! Great shot. Can you try a bit more photoshopping to up the contrast further and emphasise the depth (or height) of the drop? Gorgeous motor - I'm not the keenest Porsche fan but the 993 GT2 is definitely one of my favourites, and this would cost a bomb to buy.
  16. There was that research done some time ago that stated your body went into a catabolic state after about 60 mins - hence counterproductive after that. Can't find it after a 30 sec search. So I personally don't know how many guys do only 3 days a week and still get everything in, if each day consists of an hour or less. Heavy-ass weights I suppose.
  17. Sounds like you've got the commitment mate, congrats on taking the plunge. You'll love it. It's good you will have the motivation from the guys here as well as a training partner. Try and focus on enjoying yourself in the gym too, cos it'll take a while before the body acclimatises and as it goes through its conditioning phase... and I know I have been through phases of impatience when seeking results. It's not all about putting a tape measure round your biceps, but the great feeling of being fitter, healthier and stronger after a workout too. The more reasons you have to keep hitting the gym the easier it will be to get consistency - and consistency will bring results. Congrats on recovering from your stint in hospital too - that's incredible getting struck with something like that so young. Family history?
  18. Fantastic job mate. I still think it's highly impressive how you do the cloning and/or whatever else you do in post processing, so flawlessly, so there's no trace of the rig, unwanted shadows, etc.
  19. Great video thanks Ian for linking. I've got the mag that goes with it (June 2011 I think). I think Evo UK are at the top of the pile as far as car journos go.
  20. Well said. By the way I'd heard that saying before from someone. I'm sure it helps to stroke the ego of the guys who've taken out a loan at 12% to scrape it together to buy a second hand Gallardo.
  21. There you go Andrew now you've got a F@ck Yeah photo to call your own
  22. It didnt help that the Penny Plaza security people turned off the lights halfway through. I think it looks good Nick.
  23. This video clip got me into Jamiroquai, having two of my favourite Ferraris and some great tunes
  24. Looks like a nice example of an F40. From memory they made about 1,300 F40s, only about 700 F50s and 349 Enzos. So not exactly ultra-rare, but still a collectible. I guess at some point the car's rarity dictates a certain level of care and mollycoddling. But even Terry Ashwood lets his Winfield GTR (one of a kind) out on the track for a proper thrash on a regular basis. What I don't understand is why on earth there are so many auto NSXs. 8,000rpm red line with VTEC with maximum torque at about 5,000 rpm, coupled to a four speed auto transmission, in the days then I think only Porsche had a tiptronic auto tranny. You definitely don't see a Ferrari driven in anger very often. It was good to see the way my boss drove his car, a DB7 Vantage - driven every day, frequently getting the tail out etc. I say "was" because he pranged it about a month ago.
  25. Very nice Sidd. The separation between the Indian and Western weddings is interesting... I wonder if either group looks at your website when telling you what they want for their wedding, and maybe takes some ideas from the opposite side of the world, so to speak. Nice one mate. Was this before or after the car locked itself? I find the commander mode / remote flash irritating sometimes; as the sensor for the commander signal on the SB600 is on one side of the flash and if that happens to be on the opposite side to the camera taking the photo, you're a bit stuffed. It'll work indoors with a low ceiling but elsewhere (outdoors) I've found it trickier. Unless I'm missing something, maybe they should put a transparent window the whole way around the flash body, then all that would be needed is some reflective plastic to bounce the commander signal up into a sensor inside the flash.
