  1. I'll take one, Matt. Pretty sure I can be out that way by that time, but my concern would be getting decent light on the black car at that time of day, what do you reckon? (without giving anything away about the location) Pretty sure Terry might want a spot too but we'll see. Cheers mate
  2. Agreed, I'd love an E39 M5 and they're within striking distance budget-wise to acquire... Not sure about maintenance though as they are a complicated beast (not that the GTR isn't, but when you have self levelling dampers, about 6 oxygen /lambda sensors, etc there are many things that could fail) The other "problem" is that because they are such a comfy car, many have done high miles. Looking for an E39 M5, it's rare that a well looked after one comes up with less than, say, 120,000km on it...
  3. And I think in recent news it was hinted at that the new 1 Series is likely to be hatch only (possibly including a GT variant) with the coupe / vert going to "2 Series" designation; the 1 Series will have four-pots while the 2 Series could have sixes. Good to hear.
  4. Looks great, A bit more understated like the original M5 I think. I reckon it will have been hard to get the twin turbo motor sounding as good as the old V10 at high revs or the E39 with the NA V8. Like the Golf R32 vs the new Golf R. Another link: Motor Report I think it would've been good to see some clear indicator lenses at the rear like some of the earlier Ms.
  5. Love GTCs mate, and the colour combo looks great on your car. Just wondering though, what size tyres are on the 19"s? They look a bit thin in the aspect ratio (overall circumference of the wheel looks a bit low) - does the speedo read high?
  6. Here are three different colours for you... first two of these were taken at Leura this autumn. Terry's BNR34 VS2 My GTR Sean's GTR at last week's Texi
  7. I reckon the zoom (focal length) on BNR's photos also help maximise the impact.

Just saw this... Dave - the Volks look incredible on the GTT. I'd still love to have a red 34R. Almost every car here has much improved After vs Before shots - thumbs up. I love that black 33 with the Work Meisters - looks so tough!
  9. Thanks Zennon. Will keep all the great feedback given here in mind for next time. Interesting stuff, the rig work. Bet it keeps a lot of people guessing!
  10. Great shot Matt. Nick's Stag is looking tough there. Nice job placing the rig without there being a noticeable absence of water droplets either...
  11. Thanks Josh. Yeah exposure was about 16 seconds at f/18; it was on my tripod and there was a slight breeze but nothing that should have unsettled it; I thought I'd up the ISO to reduce my reliance on a longer exposure but guess I should have gone the other way. Cheers
  12. Hey Kushil, We've still got the RE30s if you want to check them out. They're 18x9.5 +15 with 265 35 ZR18 Bridgestone RE001s on them. They're Formula Silver with the Diamond cut rim - check out the Rays Website: http://www.rayswheel....jp/indexe.html. The other colours were Chrome Silver and Bronze for the RE30. Cheers Matt Pic #2: and a few more:
  13. Have seen Longz' car at a few SAU meets and can vouch for its amazing condition. GL with the sale mate, don't drop your price too much more, I think it's just a matter of waiting until the right buyer spots it. Matt PS the Mazda 3 MPS are front drive like you say. The 6 MPS is AWD. In that category I'd rather opt for a Golf R / R32 or a Megane RS if the Golf is too common for you.
  14. Hey guys. Finally getting my car up after posting Terry's in the May thread... Love the night city shots from you guys. Here's one from me, I hate the grain in my night pics - this was taken at ISO 800. Not sure if it's my D70 (pretty old model now) or what? Also - Sidd I thought the nude model shots were great - at least the thread is only locked but it's still there to appreciate...
  15. And (finally) the other half...
  16. Have spotted this very nice silver BNR34 a few times in Ridge St North Sydney, and took these the other week.
  17. Was only there for about an hour but it looked like everyone had an awesome time
  18. Hmm it needs more low... but it actually looks quite neat from the pictures. Amazing how a crash history can be hidden under the skin though; maybe not necessarily for this vehicle...
  19. Sorry to hear mate. Like some have said, these guys obviously aren't your average low lifes, they've taken it up a notch... Hope they get em. Surprised it got done in your area too, with tight streets like that (not a busy road) I'm wondering if someone scoped your place or followed you home one day.

  21. Very little you can do to prevent people running in to you, except maybe opt for a colour other than red (apparently the similarity between the brake lights and the colour of the car could mean a split second delay in the synapses of whoever is following you, which could make all the difference. Anyway, if you don't want an import, how about ... They were Aussie delivered of course, but parts would still need to come overseas from Japan. Even so supply would probably be better than a BMW and slightly cheaper to run than say a 330Ci or M3. Matt
  22. NICK! I thought I recognised those rims! I saw the first pic and thought, "Oh - nick's found some RE30s after all, awesome, they look mad.... ....wait a minute..." For reference, they're 9.5" wide (0.5" wider than the standard 33/34 GTR rim) and they *are* +15 as you said. So has the track width actually increased over your old wheels, or has the rim just become wider? It looks as if the track width has actually increased noticeably from these pics. When I first bought my R33 GTR, it had *7.5 inch wide* rims on with 235 tyres - very baggy, and a very low offset (almost negative) just to get the rims to fill the guards but the rims were way too narrow. This increased the track width too much IMO and made it handle like a truck - the axis about which the wheels rotated when steering, was too far from the midpoint of the wheel itself. I guess it was exacerbated by how narrow my old rims were, you wouldn't notice it as much with 9.5"s. Let me know if you want to go through with them though! Matt
  23. If you don't focus on what's immediately surrounding the light it looks sort of like God is blessing the wedding...! I like this one mate. The contrast in the colour between the beach and the surf is nice. Would look great blown up.
  24. Congrats Owen, and Danny well done mate looks like it was a great day out. Love the jetcar!
  25. Hey mate. Have another (non-car related) issue that requires $$$ at the moment unfortunately... Might come down for a look though Cheers Michael
