  1. Just read this this morning - What an absolute dropkick. Where would Webber be without Redbull? How about where the f*ck would Rebull be without Webber? Where do you reckon Red Bull got all their driver feedback from? Does this man have anything useful to contribute?
  2. Highlights 13 nights accommodation 4 Days volunteering 1 night sleep train Various transport Didn't realise "Various transport" qualifies as a highlight of any holiday... ...probably includes a ride in the back of an ambulance
  3. Nice analysis.
  4. Yeah - the whole situation has been a real downer on what has otherwise been a cracking season so far. The controversy is 'good' for the sport (it's made front-'page' SMH for crying out loud!) but I don't see a lot of light at the end of MW's tunnel when the true-blue Aussie outspoken attitude is both a virtue and a vice in many ways. Would be awesome to hear DC's thoughts. Meanwhile ^^^^ if SMH's sources are to be believed, the 'wing-waving' indicates a definite rift inside the garage too (between the two drivers' engineers/mechanics), not just between RBR and RB head office. Will be watching Joe Saward's and James Allen's blogs carefully over the next few weeks...
  5. I agree that Vettel has lost some nerve and I think he'll definitely think twice before squeezing Mark again. If so, it only took, what, two major incidents that both resulted in a significant disadvantage to him, before he realises that he can't boss MW around. As for RBR, I'm not so sure they would allow themselves to be "pushed around" by Mark, nor would they be all that concerned to see MW go, if he were ever to throw down an ultimatum. It's clear where Dietrich and Marko et al have invested their time and money and it would actually solve a few "problems" for them if MW were to abandon the team, sadly. At least, that's the way it looks to me. If MW is to win the WDC, or even at least beat Vettel in the 2010 standings at the end of Abu Dhabi, that'll be a damn good outcome. At the very least though he's won at Monaco and more than that, shown he is at least the equal of the golden child on the track while being far superior to him (and his own team) off it. Also looking forward to buying Webber's autobiography
  6. Webber's mechanics wave wing at Vettel's engineers Can't help but chuckle and yet be a bit concerned at the same time - this team's gonna implode big time
  7. Slightly strange... Can anyone post up / link to an exact quote of what was said between Webber and (Horner) after the race? Obviously I got the "number 2 driver" part, but I'm more interested in the part where he apparently said he wouldn't have signed the contract if he knew what would have happened on Sat. Edit: Never mind, found it.
  8. Was great readimg the comments tonight fellas, and awesome race. Off to bed now to get up in a few hours time and watch the world cup final... Bring on Hockenheim!
  9. Can't help but wonder now if Webber will get another caning from his team for 'not giving Vettel enough room'. Hope he can keep his positive headspace and maintain the consistency. Vettel meanwhile seems bound to implode with frustration and resentment if he keeps up with his short-fuse dummy spits Edit: think you and I are thinking the same thing Roy...
  10. Amazing how much you can tell from body language hey, as opposed to PR spin. True that
  11. Seb obviously can't satisfy Luscious Liz like Mark can
  12. I can faintly understand a team principal having his orders and favouring one driver over another (if he's transparent about it and not disingenuous - as some have mentioned already). But this crap where he (or the team) actually acts 'dismayed' and completely unmoved when Webber wins I do not understand. Are these guys human??? Anyways it's awesome to hear the Aussie anthem again hehe
  13. "not bad for a number 2 driver" hahaha. incredible. geez i hate politics
  14. AWESOME drive Webber! Congrats This race has made my week.
  15. Vettel showing he has no compunctions about barging his way past someone (again)
  16. Nice one Brandon, and great pics. Had done this a while ago to the 33 GTR too and it's great - a good compromise as it adds a bit of character without being "Brighton-le-sands" spec
  17. Indeed Hamo is pacing well, maintaining 3.0" gap
  18. How much would we pay to see Webber lap Vettel? Looks a possibility
  19. Totally. At first I thought Webber drove Vettel off the road unprovoked but the replays clearly show Vet trying to pin Webber against the wall.
  20. Maybe Mark will need to pit to give Seb one of his tyres?
  21. Fu*k yeah!!!!
  22. Christian Horner's PR spin smells like fat sweaty anus.
  23. Nico still substantially quicker than Schumacher too...
  24. On cut to C. Horner and co, surprised not to see them in raptures after vettel just pipped Webber
