  1. Looks like these were already sold out almost 2 months ago... http://www.7tune.com/sold-out-nissan-skyli...postage-stamps/ Which is a massive shame but not surprising given the price, limited run and obsessiveness of Japanese car enthusiasts
  2. Looks like you've got a good roster there Dan. Good on the CareFlight guys, good to see them getting support.
  3. Then let that be a lesson I suppose for anyone else who's thinking about driving around without a licence and/or third party insurance. If he's your mate then encourage him to do better next time!
  4. It'll be Hot4s I think Jeremy, but have no idea about the issue#. I sent photos to Josh @ Hot4s but have not received any feedback.
  5. Nice car Mass, remember meeting you and seeing it at the SnS. Good luck with the sale mate.
  6. Hi guys, Up for sale is this fantastic daily driver. Vehicle: Toyota Corolla Ascent manual Price: $9,900 Year: 2000 Colour: Silver metallic Kilometres: 43,000km (that's 4,000km per year!) Service history: Full log books Condition: Like new Rego: till June 2010 Other features: Air conditioning, alarm with remote central locking, tinted windows, power mirrors, driver's airbag, paint protection, good tyres. This car has never missed a beat, has incredibly low kms and drives like new - everything from steering to brakes is tight as a drum. Power delivery is very smooth, and the engine typically gets around mid 7L / 100km, even with some city driving. Will also comfortably fit a mountain bike in the back without removing the front wheel. If you are after a mint Corolla that will last you a lifetime and give you trouble free motoring then this is the one! It is also featured on Carsales. Drop me a PM if interested! Cheers, Matt
  7. I was around in the carpark until at least 10pm - must have missed this. I love how tabloid journalists like the DT can't resist tarring all car enthusiasts with the same bloody brush. A vehicle that is only mildly modified from the car that went around the Nordschleife in under 8 minutes is going to be a hell of a lot safer on the road than a Hyundai Getz, particularly if you're talking active safety, the ability to avoid having a crash in the first place.
  8. There are more pictures here mate.
  9. I noticed the black Golf on the night of the photoshoot, but didn't get around to speaking to him. Very sad to read about this kind of thing, I hope the family is doing ok. It's incredible how good an intersection like that can look in clear conditions, yet how completely different it would be in fog.
  10. Sounds interesting Danny, email sent...
  11. Damn, I love that R32 GTR, sucks that I missed it. Great photo. It was raining about the time I was to leave for Palm Beach so I just went straight to Homebush, managed to avoid all the rain, and the undercover cops thankfully Thanks for the wrap up Sloane.
  12. Went well last night. Thanks to the guys from Nissan Silvia and also Simon (Messiah) for organising. Old Hill carpark was a bit of a joke, I think I must have circled it about 6 times trying to figure out how to get in; later figured out security kept opening / closing entrys and exits... P1 was okay but ended up rubbing my front spoiler on the up-ramp! I didn't plan on taking that many photos, was going to leave to the pros, I'm just a bit of a hack, but here are a few pics to get us started, let us know what you think... Dave, Shehan and Sloane it was good to catch up with you guys, if you PM me your email I've got one or two more of your cars. Cheers, Matt
  13. Hey mate, I'll try and make it out. Would be great to see your R33 and some of the other cars too.
  14. Where abouts in Palmie is everyone planning to meet up? I'm still pretty keen but depends on the weather and also I plan to pick up a car on Saturday morning way out west so that could be a factor. Would be good to see you there Dave, as well as some of you other guys (Raf!). And Blitz - think I bought my xenons off you, right? You can check them out if I make it there on the night
  15. Great idea Simon. I'm interested. Looking forward to hearing more closer to the date.
  16. Nice one mate. Love the choice of photos too but I'm beginning to think I should change my number plate; 1983 doesn't make me sound that young any more!
  17. Great day guys, thanks to Gemma for organising it. Had a great run chasing a yellow Audi TT up the Pass, then chasing Terry's R34 GTR back down Jamberoo Mtn Rd. Good to see you Raf and Shehan Thanks also to everyone who put up pics, some great shots there. Matt
  18. Fully sik NOS bro
  19. Agreed. Nice little anecdote Sean, and hope you can get your car fixed up like new, shame to have that incident tarnish an otherwise great day. Of course I would have loved to have taken home an award but my BCNR33 faced stiff competition from the others, especially as my engine bay is stock (a bit of a rarity there) and hence the bonnet remained closed... until I got asked by some fellas (who I soon found out were judges) to open my bonnet. To which I responded "um, sure ok, but it's only stock", and the judges couldn't help but sound a little disappointed I think... Main thing is I had a great time checking out some awesome specimens... next time I will definitely bring some fold up chairs though - my feet were shot by the end of it
  20. Thanks Luke! Yes she is practically standard except for suspension, exhaust, rims and a few other minor things. It was good to see some quality R33 GTRs there and UWISSH was a deserving winner. A lot of $$ and hard work obviously has gone into the engine and mechanicals as well as exterior there. It was good to meet you mate, and see a genuine LM in the flesh. Likewise I thought it was magic to see all of the quality machines there under one roof and so many people who are passionate and united by the same hobby. Gibson R32 GT-R was definitely a highlight for me, as was GTR32G's red R32 GT-R - its spot in the sunlight definitely helped to show off that brilliant paintjob. Nice rims on Bakes' car too; I didn't think he could top the Gold GT-Cs but the new ones look amazing. Great effort by the mods and organisers / volunteers, thanks for all your hard work. -Matt
  21. f*** that's a big wallop mate. Can't believe your neighbour did that just by backing out of a driveway. Was he/she stoned or something. I'd be livid. Still would be good to see your car there though.
  22. Sounds great. Thanks Nick.
