  1. Better put me down too Eugene. (R33 GT-R) Maybe we should split the names up into the groups as well, if that's cool. Matt
  2. Was great fun and looks like we raised a great total. It was good to meet everyone including Alan, Eugene and Carmen - thanks for taking those pics! Matt
  3. Looks like the weather will be the same as today, but as long as it's not absolutely bucketing down, I'd still like to cruise up to Terrigal. Never been on a SAU cruise, and this one is for a great cause. I've already donated online but I'll be bringing my R33 GT-R and dad is likely to come in his R34 GT-R (Terry_GTR34) so hopefully see you all at P6... Cheers, Matt
  4. Thanks mate yeah nah your car will look good there as well... just need a good camera and something or someone to rest it on.
  5. Thanks again everyone. I took my new RE30s and the GTR to Sujith at Tyrepower Hornsby to get some new Bridgestones fitted. Yeah he took his time, but he did a good job and gave me a competitive price. Exactly what I was after. I was impressed. Would definitely recommend him to anyone else looking to buy some tyres. Matt
  6. It's cool that someone finally spotted that A few people I know have asked me whether it's a country, or if someone hit my car and paint is peeling off it... I would love to actually do a lap of the Nurburgring though, even if it's not in a GT-R Thanks again guys
  7. Thanks Stevo. Yeah I thought it was a bit strange that when I went down there, there was hardly anyone else around. Pictures turned out a lot better than they could've; a guy named John down there lent me his tripod - I will have to get my own though! Matt
  8. Thanks a lot for the nice comments fellas. I cooould lower it more, but then it would be a pain in the ass to drive I think, and a bit too impractical for me.
  9. Thanks Spunky Yeah I agree with you, there are TEINs in there at the moment that I could have lowered about another 0.5 - 1 inch and it would look "bangin"... but I need to get over my driveway! Plus there would be extra wear on bushes and tyre wear from the neg camber unless I get a camber adjustment kit right?
  10. Thanks fellas, they're 18" by 9.5", glad you guessed 19's though I think that dish usually makes a rim look a bit smaller (when the spokes don't go all the way to the edge of the rim, so, glad to hear that. I thought about getting 19s but I think 18s will do nicely as an upgrade and the suspension is already rock hard as-is... That spot at Sylvania is pretty recognisable huh It's great fun taking pics of the car
  11. Hey guys, Thought I would post some pics of my R33 GTR with some VR RE30s in Formula Silver that I just bought... I love the look of these rims! What do you guys think? Cheers Matt
  12. Just as important as the offset is the disk type for some Japanese rims, or just the clearance for rims in general - make sure the spokes clear the brake calipers before you pay for them. Made an expensive mistake in ordering Volk GT-Cs which arrived with a B-disk type which didn't clear the stock Brembos on the front of my R33 GTR. Matt
  13. Skyline model: R33 GTR Wheel type: Rays Volk Racing RE30 Wheel diameter: 18" Wheel width: 9.5" Wheel offset: +15 Tyre size: 265/35 18 Suspension: TEIN coilovers (lowered 1" from standard) Modifications to fit: None
  14. I assume you've bought them but haven't actually had them delivered yet? I know that based on my own thread I'm not one to be giving advice on what rims will fit your car, but whoever you bought them off should give you the actual wheel dimensions (not the tyre). 255 width tyres can be made to fit a range of different wheel (rim) widths, from 8 inches to 10.5 or more, and it's the rim width itself that will determine the final width of the overall wheel (rim+tyre) as the tyre width will conform to the width of the rim. The rims should have printed / embossed somewhere on them the dimensions e.g. 17x9.0 as well as an offset figure e.g. +12. When looking at a wheel rim front-on (facing the tyre, with spokes of wheel not visible) the offset is the distance between the plane (invisible line) created by the centre of the rim and the plane created by the hub-face of the wheel (the surface of the wheel that sits flush together with your hub (brake disc). Do a quick seach of the forum for more info on offsets. Once you get the dimensions of your actual wheel rim, determine what the R33 GTS-t standard wheels (from factory) were, e.g. 16x7.5 +30 (I'm just guessing, I don't know) and then use a website like http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html to calculate how much more/less clearance you will have inside your wheel arches, and how much more/less clearance you will have to your guards, compared with the stock wheels. Matt
  15. Hey mate I think you might need to supply the wheel width and also the offset in order for these guys to have an idea Cheers, Matt
  16. Thanks for all the advice people... I will let you know how it all goes. Cheers Matt
  17. Thanks abu, this does help mate. 18x10 -1 !! Is that photo of your -1s or +18s? Have you got camber adjustment or any other suspension mods? Cheers, Matt
  18. Hey guys, Just after the opinions of anyone who has had experience with fitting rims or tyres of these dimensions. I've bought some 18x10 +12 GTCs for my R33 GT-R, and before getting tyres I've tried mounting the rims to the rear hubs. They stick out a fair bit - see the pics below - but I've been told with the independent rear suspension they should tuck in under the guards when the car is lowered off the jack. The car has TEIN coil overs set about 1" below standard ride height. I'm planning to fit 265/35 18 tyres, and really do not want to roll the guards if I can get away with it. All advice appreciated Cheers, Matt

  20. Dush, what offset are they? Is that pic one of the actual wheels or just an example? You have 235s on there at the moment? Cheers, Matt
  21. Yeah thanks mate.. I'm looking into that... Not sure about making the investment into tyres then finding out they scrub on the wheelarches or rubbing on the fenders though - being 10 in wide, they're right at the front guards already Might end up buying some 5mm or 10mm spacers and trying it out.. So pissed off!
