Krisppy Maccas Livo Meet Saturday February 7th @ 11am For 11:30ish Departure
bt23 replied to Anna34's topic in Events Archive
change of plans, i can't make it this saturday i have weekend work in the office next time! -
I'll second that.. Another couple of notable places on Fridays are Flavours (at Middle Bar) and St James Hotel, but both are tony compared to Tank Nightclub. Good atmosphere though.

Hi all, Just a quick update. I ended up getting a cat-back system today for $50. Thanks for all of the help, much appreciated. Brian
-
Usually I get Shell V-Power RON 98, but if I'm on the road and running low, any premium will do me.
-
My one is pretty much sitting 10cm at the front and sides but the shape of my front bar sticks out at the lip which caused me a lot of grief during my first couple months owning the car (I had to eventually get it re-fiberglassed + resprayed). I still occasionally sand the paint underneath from scraping some driveways but nothing too drastic. I live in a cul-de-sac with a very steep curb but mastered it by just keeping in mind to take a big angle. For some of the driveways with dips, you could also try reversing in. Some driveways you may just have to completely avoid altogether. It's just part of having a lowered car. Hang in there... P.S. There is no shame in getting a mate to step outside and check as you attempt to drive up. Sure, onlookers might think you are a wank, but at the end of the day you are saving unnecessary stress and money!

can anyone confirm that this actually fits an R33? i don't want to try something out that might or might not work out so well. (plus i am going after getting the muffler replaced as its the baffle/gurgle noise when revving down causing the defect which i think the muffler is to blame. please correct me if i'm wrong) sounds like my best option so far if none of the exhaust places get back to me. i work in north sydney so maybe i can drive to work one day if nothing can be arranged on a weekend.

i called up yesterday and had a chat to one of them, if they their hands on one during they week they will let me know (they said they just chuck them out now) thanks dude, pm me or link me to some of your pics, im sure i would have seen yours around the area too!
-
thanks for the replies guys. i just had a chat to hills and they will get back to me (soon hopefully). evil_weevil, what's your beer of choice? (need to have a backup option) (P.S. if anyone has a spare around campbelltown/south west sydney that would be even better!)

Hi All, I saw the other states have their own part borrowing threads but I couldn't see one for NSW. I have been asking and calling around to purchase a stock R33 catback exhaust to clear a defect with no luck. I have tried wreckers and exhaust places for spares but nobody seems to have them. I am now resorting to have to borrow one, and will just have to keep my eyes on one for the future. Willing to pick up and pay to borrow. Just need for a day (hopefully) (P.S. If needed, why not make this a borrow thread for future cases) thanks, Brian

What You Hate About Your Skyline Thread
bt23 replied to jakez88's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
its not just r32's that have broken air vents, this is a common nissan issue from that generation of cars. my n14 pulsar being one of them. *EDIT* what i really hate is the foggy/yellow scratched effect inside the headlights. i need them cleaned this weekend -
dude check your calculation, i got 58.514799112 metres
-
not exactly my kind of thing but they do look pretty nice on the euro cars. i don't see how these are screaming for defects if they are as light as in the original attached photos.

Bought My First Skyline, R33 S2
bt23 replied to 3LGODZILA's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
congrats on getting a skyline. drive sensibly, keep the speeding for the track and hopefully you will enjoy it for years to come! (p.s. don't perve on taken chicks!) -
lots of cops are hypocrites! lol one of my best mates is in goulbourn now and his previous exhaust used to set off alarms in underground carparks. not to mention when i was looking around for an r33 one of the ones i test driven was from an officer too (heavily modded at that)

How Many Times Have You Been Pulled Over This Long Weekend?
bt23 replied to bt23's topic in New South Wales
lucky devils! maybe it's because in the campbelltown area there is very little traffic at night and the odds of being pulled over on a main road are pretty high. hit up jetpseed, it is the explosion bodykit (trust me that front lip is a pain in the backside, i had to get it resprayed a few months ago) -
i got pulled over twice this weekend (not bad really, considering i drove each night). once was by a lone highway patrol, and the other was a set up RBT station. the funny thing was in the time they checked my car in the RBT queue, the officer could have breath tested another 3 people easily. not really worth it considering that apart from a slightly loud exhaust, my car is clean. what are your stories? any funny or irritating experiences over the long weekend?
-
if you are caught driving with a suspended license i dont think you can get away with any of the above. in all honesty i wouldn't bother taking it to court - it will most likely waste your time and money!
-
it is a good show but why hang on their every word and verdict? after all, last time i checked wearing blazers with jeans wasn't very cool to begin with.
-
$2300 for comprehensive sounds realistic. try a quote from famous insurance as well (wont be much difference) but their payment options and slightly lower excess (in my experience) may be the better option.
-
did you ask the same question on the supra forums?
-
the 'good' way is to purchase and download them through itunes. otherwise that you can use a torrent search engine like isohunt.com or mininova.com, and download the torrent through a downloader like utorrent or bittorrent. Google it, there is a lot out there..

Krispy Kreme/macca Livo Cruise Jan To Wollongong
bt23 replied to princess01's topic in Events Archive
ill definitely bring bring walkie-talkie next time! -
in my experiences with insurance the only two companies willing to cover me were famous and just car. being 21 with a 'grey listed' import and a minor claim added to my history it didn't leave me any other options. nrma, aami (who own just car anyway), gio etc apparently don't cover a range of imports such as skylines (well, i am not positive if this is entirely true, maybe just because of the age factor). and unless you are a 50 year old with erection problems, shannons car insurance aren't any help either. i have been with famous car insurance for half a year now, paying $240 a month. the truth is they have smaller excess, smaller premiums and the option to pay monthly which to me is a BIG upside as compared to forking out $2k+ in one big go. the high premiums we pay now are just something we have to put up with. just car is reliable enough but they take advantage of their cover to younger drivers by forking up the prices. but hey that is just my opinion.
