-
you coming damo?? Caltex sounds better than BP, so if anyone live sup north they dont have to double back.
-
Since it's an 8:30 start how about BP west Tce at 7:15, head out at 7:30. It takes roughly an hour to get there. If anyone is keen to meet up PM me and we'll exchange details.

Hi All, Just called mallala, spoke to Pete, asked for some info, he said the session tomorrow starts at 8:30 but he was not sure about cost. I asked him if the prices on the website for 2008 were unchanged (i.e. $100 + $25 for the CAMS license for the day) He said that was probably what it would be. We both agreed the website was useless. Clem is the guy with all the info but he won't be there until lunch time, but tomorrow definitely starts at 8:30 am and the cost will be approximately $125. Will post more info if I end up speaking to Clem later on. Hope to see some other skylines out there, I'd hate to be representing on my own

I assumed that the day would begin at 5pm (followed the link in this thread, it said 5pm then realized that was for drift) The Mallala website is useless. This only information I could find was this flyer: http://www.mallala.com/startyourengines/PTD%20Brochure.pdf Which must be about something else as it is $495 per day, but says that the session starts at 8:30am. So i guess I will call them tomorrow to get all the details, does it start at 8:30 or 5? and why isn't that information readily available on their website? you'd think you could click on the event you were interested in on the website and it would give you details, or at least that the details would be SOMEWHERE on the site. Jeez it's late.

+1 (or technically plus..... like 10) This guy knows what he's doing.

Helmet just arrived....... matches my car. Looks like we have a green light for track day. if anyone is keen to drive up there together I will be meeting at BP west Tce at 3:15 on the Saturday, fuel up and check tyres, head out at 3:30 and we should be there before 4:30. Should be meeting at least 1 other car there, maybe 2. If you're keen PM me to exchange mobile numbers.

According to the article, serial offenders can actually have their cars seized and crushed. Does anyone else think that is friggin ridiculous!!!!!!! What if the car is an R34 GTR? that's some serious $$$ going in the crusher, that's not even the point though, they can't effectively steal your car!!!! That's absolutely disgusting, I had no idea we were living in a dictatorship.

can anyone confirm the fire extinguisher thing? How's this for brake upgrades: http://www.uniqueautosports.com/pricelists...ist_braking.htm
-
did someone say crack? "i would never do crack I would never do crack I would never do a drug named after a part of my own ASS! "Somebody says you want some crack I say "I was born with one pal! If I need another one I'll let you know but for now I'm sticking with the solo crack-ola thank you!"" It's late and I have had too much soda

How early is early? Do I need to bring anything besides long sleeves and a helmet?
-
Cheers for the info dstroy. I'm going assuming my helmet arrives in time, got a mate with an evo who will probably come as well. Do we need to register or book a spot somehere? or do we just show up?

6er you rock dude. I wasn't commenting on any one thing as I only skim read all the fight posts anyway, but right now I could easily find 10 posts from 10 different people that are clearly aggressive/hostile. Honestly who's got time for that sh!t. If anyone wants conflict, go to your local pub and start a fight, God knows there will be like minded individuals there. On here let's just talk cars and chillax people. Come on peace love and save the whales and all that. 6er you keep smilin dude, don't sweat it

I've only recently been active on this forum as I got a week of annual leave and actually have time. Have been dissapointed at the amount of arguing/fighting/warnings/threads locked/closed/banned and all of that. We're all here in our free time, surely the point is to use the forums appropriately to get to know like minded skyline (and the like) enthusiasts and be resources for each other. I like it here and don't want to think about looking at other forums as I love skylines, but I don't want to spend my free time reading other people's arguments and threats. Surely we're all here to have a good time?? [inline6 I'm looking forward to the smartass reply - don't dissapoint ] Nothing that happens on here is life or death guys, take it easy, get along, play nice. just my 0.02c

gets my vote fo sho!! Love the idea, I am totally in, I am the annoying friend (most of you would have one) who messages you at strange hours on a regular basis and wants to go for a cruise. Seriously though RB motorsport sounds good. Skylines and fat-assed skylines (AKA stags), maybe other cars should be subject to a majority vote of the commitee? Like if an RB26 powered 350Z wants to join you put it to a vote. I can't commit to being involved with everything but will be happy to help with events, etc.. from time to time. Love it, take my money and tell me where to sign.

Cheers dude

^ -1 dude paypal is instant. The seller has already got my payment and messaged me to say he is going to the post office now. Express post should arrive tomorrow, latest friday, assuming Australia post can read an address.
-
Found this ebay shop: http://stores.ebay.com.au/teamozimports ADR approved helmets, only 50 bucks + postage. You will pay an extra $15 or so for express postage. I also paid an extra $10 for a tinted visor, not that I'll need it but hey it's 10 bucks. Now before any of you bikers get fired up and give me some good advice about cheap helmets, I know the price reflects the quality and all that, if I was on a motorbike I'd fork out for a good Shoei, but I'm IN the car, and it's got airbags, cheap helmet will do me for now. Cheers for caring about me though EDIT: and I paid through paypal hooked into my savings account. Visa debit baby, gotta love it

Awesome, I just bought a helmet online, hope it gets here by the weekend.
-
^^ Thanks heaps for the info mate, there are Australian regulations approved helmets on ebay for for $50... will they do? Here's one: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ADULT-Full-Face-Mot...%3A1|240%3A1318 I'd probably go if i can get a helmet in time but wouldn't be out there for a full 2 hours or anything, my stock breaks already fade after some time in the hills, I don't think my car would handle that kind of punishment. Anyone got any advice on taking a near stocker to the track? Is this a bad idea? I've got the normal bolt ons for power, HKS coilovers, that's it.
-
VERY interested, have never been out to the track before (except for 2 laps as Jim Richard's passenger in his Porsche GT2). The link provided gives info about drift sessions, is it the same for grip? Do I need tow and battery triangles (actually already got some just need to stick them on) And WTF is a Cams approved helmet? How much track time do you actually get? More info much appreciated

A big +1 for me. +2 even.

Nah dude didn't see it and I was just down there. I do have some important news for everyone here though. Houston............................................... we have flutter. <<cue dramatic music>>
