The news report said one driver lost control and hit the other car, so even if your driving/your car were fine the other guy could cause the accident and you'd be finished. I've never been affected by this stuff but my wife gave birth to our first child, a daughter, 3 days ago, and after seeing that on the news it hit me that if that was me I'd miss the rest of her life. Was going to clean the car and go out for a drive tonight actually but decided against....

Amen brother, talk about wake up call for all of us, none of us are chasing more KW's jsut for the hell of it, we all give it a bit on the odd occasion (or the not so odd.....) hard to figure it out coz magill is pretty straight, and for BOTH cars to crash.... WTF?!?! My thoughts are with the affected families, I think we can all see ourselves in the wreckage photos, most of us have dragged other cars from time to time.

Hi All, Am getting the necessary parts together for a turbo upgrade, met a guy who upgraded his R33 GTR injectors and wants to sell his stock items (Car has only done 40,000 K's). I did some research and bumped into the terms "top feed" and "side feed". Can I swap my standard 370cc injectors for the GTR 440's? Is it a straight swap? Do I need to replace my fuel rail? Any advice woudl be appreciated. Cheers.

they are pretty common but there are variations. Cost me more than usual as mine were 3 layers, normally for 2 colors they cost $200 supplied, and $300 supplied and fitted (depending on size of car and material choice) They've got hundreds of color choices, including metallic chrome, brushed aluminum and carbon fiber. Service was phenomenal, all in all the guys spent like 2 hours with me to get it all the way I wanted.

Yeah the headlights were a subtle fail. When I get some time I will make some thin ones, but I'm not a fan of the eyelids you always see coz they look g@y, I reckon I could do better. Yeah the stripes are pretty big in Japan on drift cars, I think a company called "kiss my signal" does them over there. DOn't know whtat to call them besides drift stripes I guess. I'd seen heaps of cars stickered up by Drawmycar.com and approached them to do this for me. I was recommeded the subtle charcoal but wanted somethign a little more in your face, plus tired of seeing all silver skylines with charcoal graphics, boring. I asked for a candy red but htey couldn't do that in vinyl, but spent a lot of time with me trying different things to make sure I was happy. Awesome service. New eyelids coming at some stage, but I'm eyeling a HKS 2530 for sale at the moment...

Had these made. 3 layers of Vinyl, Charcoal to get the outline, then chrome, then transparent red to give it depth. Looks like a Candy apple red, very bling in the sun. Done by www.Drawmycar.com - they do a bucn of drift cars, denso's among others.

Nissan Skyline R33 Series 1. The car is near standard with the only modifications being an exhaust system and an Electronic Boost Controller, the car is always on 10PSI and has never run more boost than that. Previous owner had the car for 5 years and spent $3000 on a fresh respray. The color is a Mazda Color called "Cherry Black". It is basically a very dark purple and the car also has 2 coats of pearl on top of that. Looks amazing in the sun, pictures don't do it justice. Car comes with the pictured 18" Deep dish wheels, very wide and give plenty of grip. The car also has a sports steering wheel (a nice one) and aluminum scuff plates with "Skyline" Embossed. OK, Nobody "deserves" to get defected. Much of what we would get defected for is not actually dangerous, but lawamakers would rather make a modification defectable than take the time to consider how dangerous it really is. I had my skyline 2 months and was defected twice. although it hurt I coughed up the $$$ to make everything street legal (or close to it). TWO THOUSAND dollars later my car has 3 child safety bolts. No turbo timer, it is street legal height, no BOV, and more... The things I am still defectable for are: Coilovers (but not too low) Exhaust Remote start (if the cops see that it's my own fault) I don't think we can win this one, I think we'll either make them street legal and boring or run the risk of getting defected. Simple as that. Cops have quotas to make, they see one of us they will just pull us over. But you'd have to be a sucker to believe that EVERY defect is for a genuine saftey reason, and not due to ignorance on the part of lawmakers or revenue raising. Some senior citizens sitting in a roopm deciding whether remote start is illegal? What legal ride height should be? PLEASE!

I'm glad someone brought this up. As a nation we are into our sports, no one can deny this. A big part of that is motorsport, V8 supercars, etc... Aussie built sedans (FPV and HSV models) have more power in recent years than they ever have, as a response to consumer demand So why is all that encouraged but in the last few years this word "HOON" has come up, and suddenly everyone who craves horsepower is some kind of second rate citizen, P Plater can't drive turbo cars, and it is now LEGAL for police to confiscate and even CRUSH someone's car!!!!!!!!!!! Does anyone else think this is INSANE!!!! I'm 26, I live and breathe cars, why is it OK to be a motoring enthusiast, or into American Muscle or even locally made V8's but as soon as people see a Jap car or hear a blow-off valve we're suddenly hoons and deserve to have our cars stolen by police. I think it's disgusting

Looks hot dude, I would do bling wheels with that paint, would look awesome. Also I'd either smoke or remove those indicators... With so many skyline around these days good to see something original, wouldn't do it to my car but still appreciate it. Plus the new paint should give you a few more KW at the wheels........

Guy I know has a different model torana (dont know GM) with an RB30 Turbo from a VL he wants to put in it. I like the idea, will be a hell of a car!!
