I'm running all Willall fluids in an Alpha 12 setup that puts out significantly more power than stock. No issues at all at his end. I think your friend is relying on a lot of heresay and has not used the Willall fluids. Make the change, you won't be dissapointed.

I wouldn't call it a waste, the whole project has been extremely enjoyable and I've got an end product that is second to none. The car is exceptional in every way and if I had the room to keep two track cars I would. The sale is not for financial reasons. Need to do something else now so this one will go to make room.

Entered in the Temora 1000 and will be there unless sold beforehand.

Hi Snowy, if it moves, it moves. Don't need to sell it but have my eye on something else so I need to make room. If there are no takers I'll keep it as it is a seriously quick car.

Munro, this is an absolutely awesome car. However it has to go to make way for something new.

Ladies and Gents, This is the only Alpha 12 in Australia and it is now on the market, currently registered in SA. Many $$ have been invested in this vehicle since new. Serious offers will be considered. Specs can be found on the first page of this post. Updated with the latest gen Syvecs. Absolutely awesome car to drive.

If anyone wants a brand new unused Haltech Platinum Pro R35 ECU I have one that will go for a lot less than 5k.

Head on out to the 2012 Coates Hire Temora 1000 to see the Alpha 12 in action: http://www.facebook.com/CoatesHireTemora1000

Nice write up. thanks for posting.

Hey Ash, nope, it's going in to have a new Syvecs ECU installed next week. Finally we'll be able to tame this thing !! Do a search on YouTube for Syvecs in the R35. Awesome stuff, boost off the line, anti lag etc etc. Time to ramp it up. You'd be happy to hear the G55 is in getting a work over at the moment, adding another 100Hp to it.....
-
Yep, AMS Alpha 12 kit. Minimum boost possible is 23psi. In the states they have the same kit running 30+ psi and they're pushing out around 970Kw at the wheels, crazy stuff.
-
I have a little over 400Kw ATW, will have to dig up a dyno chart. It's somewhere around 670Kw at all four wheels with a fairly low boost setting, winding it up just makes it scary. Build thread is in the R35 forum with all the specs.

Haven't weighed it lately but it's not that different to stock. What we saved with the carbon panels etc we made up for with the cage. The graphics were designed by Nick Moss Design. Nick also does some of the V8 Supercar team graphics and is a great guy to deal with. I used D&S tint at Lonsdale in SA to do the vinyl work and get the design onto the car. These guys are a small family owned shop who do excellent work and really know their stuff. I only had a two day window (at short notice) to get the whole car done and they came through. Really impressed with their work and can highly recommend them. Thanks mate, looking forward to getting back into some track work. Planning on heading over to Vic and also the eastern states a bit in the next 12 months. Should be a good opportunity to give it a run. Have the first outing at the Mount Alma Mile Hillclimb this weekend. Will keep you posted re how the engine performs.

Getting the finishing touches...

I can highly recommend the Nevco trailer. First time out with it and it was a real pleasure to use compared with the old school tilt trailers etc. Being able to drive straight on and then lift the trailer via remote makes life very very easy. Can hardly feel the trailer when it is hitched up, great to tow and very stable.

Spent the day running in the Alpha 12 yesterday. Have done a couple of hundred Km's on it now between the dyno and the track. Initial impressions are below: At low RPM the Alpha 12 feels about the same as my previous engine when it was on boost (which was putting out around 650 - 700Hp at the wheels). After 3,500 - 4,000rpm all hell breaks loose and your you start to redefine the laws of physics, it is seriously quick.... the main powerband happens between 3,500 - redline and it just keeps on pulling. Traction (or lack thereof) is the biggest problem. The day out yesterday was really only to finish running the engine in (in total we did a couple of hundred km's between the dyno and the track). I was running some old R888's and i was breaking traction in all gears up to 4th gear and could get the tail to step out at around 200 km/h in fifth which was interesting. Short shifting still managed to keep me in the powerband without stressing the engine to much. Having all the power in the world is great but if you can't get it down it's pointless. With a fresh set of slicks on it I've no doubt that this will be an absolute weapon on the track. Martin will no doubt elaborate on the power figures that we are seeing with this package but I can say that we are running a very conservative tune and I'd be scared to see what it is like when it is wound up.

A bit off topic... but... Picked up the G55 from Carlin & Gazzard in Mt Gamber this morning. The level of service that these guys give to the customer is unbelievable. I've owned / own plenty of nice cars and I have never experienced anything like this before. I can highly recommend them !! I had them "black out" the G55 before I picked it up as I'm not a fan of all the chrome. It might not be to everyone's taste but I like it and it looks tough. Oh and the sound...... 5.5ltrs of supercharged V8 goodness heard in stereo through side pipes... I've never driven around for so long with the window down.... :-) makes the GTR sound like a whipper snipper... OK, can get back on topic now.... :-)

There's only one way to tow an Alpha 12.... with 378Kw / 700Nm of 5.5Ltr supercharged V8 goodness.

Is there a better way to start 2012 ?? I think not... and so it begins... AMS Alpha V-Band Manifolds: AMS Alpha 12 Downpipes: AMS Alpha 12 turbochargers: The Pièce de résistance..... 1 x Alpha 12 Engine: More to come as we start getting it all together....

Spotted 2 x R35's (silver & black) and what I think was a V35 (white) all parked together with the owners at the Mile End Homemaker centre car park this arvo.
