Spotted some carbon goodness at Willall this afternoon.... Giddyup. Slip

Fungoolie, contrary to the info supplied on the web the DW's are not a straight drop in replacement. I've had a couple of sets now (800cc & 1,200cc) and both times we've had to make some modifications to get them to fit correctly. Cheers Slip.

domino_z I have the Stillen side skirts installed (see pics), we added extra screws along the length of the skirt into the body work (these are recessed into the skirt itself). I'd be nervous just having the side skirts held on with double sided tape if you are planning on doing any sort of track or tarmac work. Double sided tape might be ok for daily driving though. I can PM you some close up pics of the install if you want. Cheers Slip

Try contacting Jeremy at www.speedforsale.com he should be able to get them and send them out to you. I've bought through him before. Cheers Slip

I wasn't passing, just taking the better line... Trailer part II is going up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWQIc-i4PXg Cheers Slip.

From memory the GT3 was posting lap times around the 1min 18 mark. Good drive but wouldn't let faster traffic through which was a pain. The first time I went to get passed was the "big drive up the inside @ 35 secs", it wasn't pretty.... 2nd attempt to get passed was a lap later also on the entry into a hairpin which went to plan. Cheers Slip.

Thanks Mate, Hadn't seen that attachment. If you're around tomorrow come out to Martin's in the arvo to catch up and have a chat. Cheers Slip.

Fungoolie, where did you hear that Nissan are offering transport? Not the case in SA. Slip.

Go easy Munro..... Nothing wrong with an ADM R35 track car Slip
-
ruptured a brake line on the rear left.. so no brake fluid = no more racing....
-
pics are great !! fantastic to see all the cars out on the track today, shame I missed your off road excursion Munro.... car will be fixed and ready to go again shortly.
-
Hey Andrew, looking forward to this. I'll have the car at both days. Cheers Slip.

We've just finished installing the Switzer radiator and cooling kit. The Willall Racing range of coolers for the trans, diff etc made a huge difference in keeping the temps in check. I would suggest giving Martin a call at Willall if you are looking into other coolers for your car that are track tested. Cheers Slip.

Sent E-mail's to the three different E-mail address listed below. These were on the Skylines Nationals web page and also listed above but can't get any reply.... the organisers can't be too keen for people to attend if they can't even respond to E-mails. Hi Snowy, I picked up the wide angle lens from Racer Industries who are a dealer for the Video VBox. I'm sure Protech in Melbourne would also be able to source it for you as this is who I purchased my VBox pro from. I'll have a look tomorrow re how the lens installs and post some info. Yes, the Penske's are fitted up however the car hasn't been off the hoist since they were installed last week as we are finishing off some other work at the same time. Hoping to get on the track shortly to test all the new gear out. Cheers SlipR35.

Mark, We installing the Video VBox pro in my R35 a couple of weekends ago and hardwired it to receive the CAN signal. You can also purchase an OBD connector for the system which makes it easy to quick connect to the OBD port under the dash (if you are not leaving the Vbox installed permanently). I've got the R35 scene (dash) running which Snowy mentions in his post, took a bit of hunting around to get this as it is not included with the system nor from Racelogics scene download area on their website. The software that comes with the Video VBox (i presume it is the same software for the lite version) allows you to customise the scene to show a variety of CAN parameters such as throttle and brake, steering angle, oil and trans temps etc etc, pretty much all the items that you can view on the in car MFD screen. Racelogic have also just released a new circuit software tool which allows you to view your track footage frame by frame against another driver who might have done some laps in your car. Pretty handy for working out where time can be made up if you have a pro do some laps in your car for comparison. With regards to the wider lens I purchased a wide angle lens for the camera which only turned a couple of days ago, apparently to install it you have to take the whole camera out and have it refocused rather than just screw the new lens on, will check it out and see what has to be done. I've customised the R35 scene to include best lap times, current lap times and splits so it's a pretty useful tool. I'll try to get some pics of the install on the weekend and post them for you. If you have any questions with it feel free to give me a call. Cheers SlipR35

400mm AP Racing / Stillen Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes being installed, Penske suspension also fitted up. More pics to follow later this week. SlipR35

At least we can add some new pictures to the R35 development thread this week, but that might be advertising as well.... bugger.
-
That front splitter almost looks as sexy as a set of Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes and some nice Penske suspension...... :-)

I'm not sure if this is correct. I know most dealers won't work on a JDM R35 however they are happy to work on ADM delivered vehicles. Nissan are clear about the warranty on the GTR, I don't expect to claim warranty from Nissan on the parts that I have modified so there shouldn't be any issues. Slip

Enjoy the updated pics, starting to come together now, roll cage fabrication and install starts on the 27th Jan. The original design for this car was used on the Stillen Targa Newfoundland GTR and has been reproduced here with their permission.

Another pic from the side which gives a better idea of the bolster that the seat provides. Cheers Slip
-
Installed the new seats this afternoon and immediately shed 60+kgs from the car (each seat weighs 2.5kgs and is full carbon fibre compared with 30+kgs for the stock items). They are extremely comfortable and provide more bolster than the stock seats. I have them installed at the lowest setting which has given me nearly 2 inches more headroom over stock. I can now comfortably wear my helmet without contacting the roof. To be installed this month by the guys at Willall: Craftsquare carbon mirrors Penske / Stillen suspension AP Racing / Stillen Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes with active cooling kit I'll post up some more pics when these items are installed. Cheers Slip
