I don't need them , they won't go with my r34 . NSW slimline black on white , had them on my R33 . Looking for offers around $1000 , no anual fee .

You will need 17" rims to clear the brembos , r33or r34 will be fine + you will need the rotors as well .
-
looks like a 32 engine with a nismo cover , if you have the engine number then you will know for sure .

They dont have spiggot bearing the just have a brass bush .

Greenline.jp Additional costs??
wrxhoon replied to T88 ON BOARD's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Import duty is only 10% now ( from january 1 2005) the rest is correct . Invoice total +10% duty +10% gst on the total , no duty on computer ( but only if you dont tell them its a car part ) the reduced duty on turbos is only if you tell them they are compressors ( not car parts ) . Don't do the dodgy invoice thing , if you get cought it will cost you heaps more and a criminal record as well . Always me : 90% of people dont do the dodgy invoice thing , whenever i get something from o/s i pay the tax as i'm sure most people do . -
Hard to say without testing it but twin plate clutches can be noisy .

If its already complied they probably took the balasts out and destroyed the globes so you are going to have to get another kit for it , not cheap . they have to be self adjusting and self cleaning to comply with adr .
-
They need to be self adjusting and have washers to comply with adr .

1000 is for halogen lights . I thought you wanted to convert your xenons to hal for compliance . If you want xenons from Nissan , forget it they are to expensive . The best thing for you would be to go to aftermarket conversion kit now . You will find that they have taken the balasts out , ( they are sopose to destroy them , probably kept them ) and cut the clobe fitings so they can fit the halogen globes in them .
-
If you were in sydney i could convert yours to halogen keep the globes and the balasts , then convert back after you comply the car . I was looking for a set for mine , Nissan sell them about $1000 for the 2 .

Yea that was me , were you in the r33 gtst ? I just picked it up from hobbs , the bastards tried to nick my stereo and scratched the mould around it , dont know what happened they left it there all unpluged in its slot . By the way if you looked close you would have seen its an M-spec not a v-spec , very few m-specs were made from may 2001 and they have leather trim .

Go and see Ben at bel , tell him i send you there and he will look after you .

When i was in Osaka last Nov -December , i rented a Mazda demio ( Mazda 2 in Aus) for 4000 jpy per day from Mazda ( unlimited k's ) but paking at the hotel cost me 2000 jpy per day and tolls are very high as well . In 3 weeks i covered 3000 km and i paid about 30,000 jpy in tolls . I found r34 gtr rims in up garage , most were around 100-150,000 jpy with tyres . also found a set in blackchrome with brand new tyres , the price tag 300,000 .

Ok bud cool down take it easy , i'm only trying to help , if you dont want it well don't take it . As your mechanical knowledge being very limited , i still think it is , if it wasn't you would have the problem solved by now . If you think you know it all , then well and good for you , to me it sounds like you are still wet behind the ears . As for double clutching , i didn't say you need to do that so it won't crunch while the car is stationary , as a matter of fact it won't make any difference . What i said was that with practice you don't need to use the clutch to change gears while the car is moving , most trucks still don't have synchro boxes and most truckies don't use the clutch to change gears after taking off .

The batteries are here , those of you that asked i will send a p.m. . Anyone else that wants one let me know and if someone dosn't pick up you can have theirs . If i dont have any left we can do it again at some future time once i have enough people wanting them .

bat spew stains how to remove???
wrxhoon replied to twoquik's topic in General Automotive Discussion
prepsol is safe to use on paintwork , just wash with a good car wash after use . -
If you have the battery in the boot on your r32 you should use a sealed battery or a semi sealed with a breather hose going under the car ( just like the 33's and 34 gtrs have from factory ) or there is a risk that you have fumes in the car . If you are a little handy i'm sure you can wotk something out . If you have the 32 with you when you come to pick up i maybe able to help you . Anyway i should have the batteries tomorrow arvo , i'll you and others know as soon as i get them .
-
Yes they come in smaller sizes , same as oddysey but i don't recomend you get a small one , it defeats the purporse . What is the width of your tray ? I don't know your setup ( as it is custom ) but in the r 33's the plastic tray is to small as well , as long as you can mount it in the there and clamp it down its fine . I don't see much use of the plastic tray as they are totaly sealed and will never leak . Its your call though , just let me know if you want any and how many by tomorrow morning , i have down for 3 .

5x112 no they wont fit , thats commie patern , gtr is 5x114.3 .

If it crunches when at a complete stop then it cant be the synchro but it can be a problem with the clutch either hydrolics or p/plate . Actualy its a very accurate way of testing the clutch operation , if it crunches when you engage reverse ( i mean crunch not just a clung as you will almost always hear when selecting reverse ) then it means the gearbox is still turning !!! If you have a siezed spiggot it may do that too as the main shaft will be turning but its not likely in this case , spiggot bushes don't usualy seize . When they were out they usualy become sloppy , unlike spiggot bearings that can seize . Unless i have the car here to test myself i cant tell for sure , noony is not describing it well and it sounds like his mechanical knowledge is very limited . noony , if the clutch slips or not it has nothing to do with selecting gears . When you push the clutch to the floor it shouldn't touch the flywheel or the pressure plate . Take it somewhere and have it checked out and see what they say , they will tell you what the problem is without removing the box .

If anyone else wants a battery you have until thursday this week to let me know . I should have the betteries on friday arvo , you can pick up from saturday on . I will let you know when i have them here .
-
Spiggot bearing ? is it a skyline ? They have a bush don't they ? At least the ones i have pulled out have , same with the 200 sx 's . Yea it could be the synchro but could be lots of other things as well . Noony you say that it crunches even double clutching , you must be doing something wrong then . As Duncan suggests try matching the revs with the speed of the car for the gear you are trying to select while you are doubleclutching , if you do that it will just drop in . The synchros have made everyone lazy but they have their limitations too . Don't forget most truck g/boxes don't have synchros , try going through 18 gears without synchros , its easy cause they are very close ratio . Most truckies don't even use the clutch once they take off . You can jump in to a new car and you may not be able to select a low gear' if you are going to fast and if you do manage to get it in say 1rst while you are doing 100 kmh and let the clutch out you are going to bust something for sure . Did you notice geting harder after you changed the oil ? Gear oil can make a lot of difference . A simple way to check if your clutch is working . Stop the car push the clutch in all the way and wait a few seconds then try to put in reverse , if it goes in ok and no crunch then the clutch is working o.k . If it crunches then you probably have a clutch problem . Keep in mind that reverse is a straight gear and there maybe times when the teeth hit each other and it wont go in , just release the clutch and push in again or if the car can roll let it roll a little . With practice you can change all gears without using the clutch at all and without crunching ( car must be moving though ) .

what is the weight of R32 & R33 GTR
wrxhoon replied to Zathris's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Going on my stats list yours is the lighter one . Just checked on my list the only diff in specs is side impact bars , i dont think they would be 50 kg so there may be some body stiffening somewhere . Sorry i cant help you there .
