  1. if you have your battery in the engine bay you can use whatever you like but in the boot you have to use a sealed battery . so yea the biggest battery you can fit in there but as a very minimum you want a 11 plate battery .
  2. jamesh3 do you have a gtr ? this b/bar came off a s 1 gtr but s2 is the same not sure if they are higher than 400r but my car is standard hight and the lip is 175 mm of the ground at the lowest part ( in the middle ) keep in mind that it will hit sometimes when you go in a dished drive but it wont crack you just scrape it underneath . i have someone thats interested in the b/bar but have not sold it yet

  4. i used a heavier duty full face single plate clutch in my r33 gtr and i'm using it just like you . the car makes about 500-550 hp at the flywheel , 11.7 1/4 mile @120mph and the clutch is holding fine its been on for about 12 months now . i can get you the same clutch for about $600 , thats rebuild pressure plate , new daiken clutch plate and a new thrust race , if you want a new spiggot bush thats only 10-15 $ extra . if you want that clutch pm me , i'm in sydney too.
  5. lazza , dont bother with the stock ecu , they will run fine but very rich , got them in my gtr . get a pfc get it tuned and you will have an 11 second car just with turbs , pfc and a good exhaust . thats all i've got and i ran 11.7 @120mph at wsid . when i had the stock ecu i had nowhere near the power that i have now and i was getting 300 - 350 km per tank , after pfc and a tune i'm getting 450 -500 k per tank and i can loose traction on a dry road in second gear when it comes on boost on the stock 17 X9 's with 245x45 tyres
  6. why dont you give garrett a ring and ask them to rebuild +hiflow yours and what $ it will cost you , they usualy do it in 3-4 days .
  7. srb33 , get your car tuned if you have a pfc or a chip . if you got a stock ecu not much you can do . i have a s 1 r33 gtr with pfc and n1 turbos and i get up to 500 k driving around sydney , at least 450 k but i fill up when the red light comes on about 60 -62 lt . the car runs 11.7 @120 mph and i dont drive like an old woman on a trip i get better . when i bought the car with stock turbos and stock ecu ( turbo back exhaust ) best i could do was 350 -380k . a good tune not only gives you more power but better fuel economy as well . i use shell optimax .

  10. I compared the specs of the battery to those of the odyssey 1200 and they appear to be almost identical in every way. Even the dimensions are the same.The only difference is the steel jacket on the odyssey. I have attatched some pictures of the new battery alongside my old Odyssey 800 for comparison.
  11. i have found some sealed batteries at a very good price . they are simillar to odyssey but don't have the steel case . i have priced the odyssey 1200 at about $330 . i had the 800 odyssey in the gtr but because i may leave it for 2-3 in the garage sometimes it was going flat ( tracker , alarm ). anyway these batteries are $140 wholesale and they are the same sise as the odyssey 1200 , same specs as well so i put 1 in the gtr and its great . it fits in the original spot but you have to get another clamp from an auto shop and it doesn't come with posts just stainess steel bolts . anyone interested you can pm me and i'll put you in touch with the guy that sells them , not sure if he will post interstate but i can find out . i have taken a pic of it but my dg cam battery is flat so i'll put a pic up tomorrow .
  12. you should be able to take the globe out without taking the h/light apart . you can get the globe at any auto shop , take yours out and tested to make sure its the globe then buy one the same .
  13. whats this old man's business mate ? i think the boy drove it like it was stolen , his 60 ft was 1.7.. but he hit the cutout in 3rd gear , still managed 11.75 but cause he missed the gear change t.s was only118 mph , with a good gear change he would have run 11.5 -11.6 .

  16. i got r33 n1 turbos in my r33 ( had them rebuild by garrett before i put them in ) , i cant tell you what power it makes though . i ran 12 flat in wsid last wednesday , couldnt get traction though 60 ft was 2 sec and trap speed 120 mph ( r33 is much heavier than 32 ) . only mods are pfc , n1 turbos ,1.2 bar boost , stock airbox , stock cooler . engine was rebuild with arias pistons and standard everything else . they spool up about 800 rpm later than stock turbos but will hold all the way to the cutout 8200 in my case .

  19. great 60 ft on your last run bill ! i did a 1.8 60 ft on my last run but hit the rev limiter in first and lost traction when i put it in second so i only did 12.3 on that run . i'll have to go back and have another go at an 11 sec pass .
  20. yea you are right arup best time was 12.069 @120.24 mph and 2.017 60 ft that was the run i had with bill ( butthead ) he ran [email protected] mph and 1.866 60 ft . bill ran 12.1 on his last run . on my last run i got a good start 1.873 60 ft but then hit the cutout anded up running 12.333 @115.89 mph on an earlier run i did 12.157 @119.87 mph and 2.089 60 ft ( bogged down on that run not enough rpm and dropped the clutch to quick . it was much easier to take off with the smaller turbos . it must have been very slippery today though , mick could only get 2.0 6o ft , last time we went he got 3 runs 1.8.. , 1.8.. and 1.7... ah well i'm goping to have another go at 11 pass sometime in the near future ( went so close today i'm sure i'll get it )

  23. i thought they were rated 1500 kg , how heavy is it , does it look strong ? anyway the lift rating is only for the pump not the jack itself . you can get $30 jacks that are rated 1500 kg but they are very flimsey .
  24. i'll be there , wheather permiting , red gtr match race it with another gtr with simmilar mods , then line it up with 3 different sti 's ...2 of them 2000 mods and 03 with 2.5 engine ... capable of sub 12 's. it shoulb be intersting .... what colour is your r33 ? i'll look out for you and maybe line up with you but i only use optimax ............
  25. yae it looked like it was an alloy jack , its very good because its so light ( i used them before ) 90 mm low height is normal . i saw an ad for an alloy jack at the penrith toolbox , i cant remember the price though .
