  1. they are not that bad as they are alloy but i still wouldnt want to drop any in the cil .
  2. u can get the r32 and r33 engine only nissan translated in english . try motor traders in mona vale ph 99795833 around 230 - 250 $ bookworks in punchbowl is another but a little dearer . u cant get a full workshop manual in english though , when i need to know something i go to nissan hornsby and get a printout of the part that i need to know they are very helpfull.
  3. if the thread has carbon and u cant install the plugs all the way in u could use a tap on the thread but u have to make sure u clean all the shavings , dont drop any in the cil . i never had the prob that bad so i couldnt screw the plugs in .
  4. u r right duncan but u have roos it nt and aussie drivers that dont like anyone overtaking them ! and the roads well ...........the german roads are very smooth no bumps no potholes just smooth and straight and most people drive above 200 kmh in normal cars tha fast ones 250 + .
  5. i wouldnt change the belt if u changed it 15 k ks ago its waisting $80 , its still new unless it was a few years ago .
  6. r33 gtr tank holds 72 lt s
  7. they use a blubird dash when they convert cause they cant get a skyline dash , they never made skylines in left hand drive . if u want good roads and no speed limits go to germany u can drive as fast as u like on the autobarns there and people dont use the fast lane for anything other than overtake and then back in the right lane so the very left lane is always free .
  8. its a lot of work to remove the tank . why do u have to remove it ? i never done before but i pulled one out of a gtir heaps of work though . u shouldnt have to remove it unless its cracked or something .
  9. hey gtst do u have the actual fan as well ? or just the clutch part ? if u have the fan i'm interested .
  10. of course the leaking master cil wouldnt help but maybe its been stuffed for a long time ( leaking between the 2 seals inside and not leaking outside ) so its not working proply . replace the master or put a kit in it if not badly coroded ( u have to hone it out first ) and u r prob will go away . i never seen a skyline with a very heavy clutch before , usualy they are fairly light . if u cant do the master cil yourself take it to a clutch -brake shop and they will resleeve it for u with stainless steel sleeve and new seals as good or better than new . i'm not sure how much is a new master from nissan prob to pricey .
  11. are u sure its not leaking from the oil filter ? its funny that it started leaking when u changed the oil filter. have a bettr look u maybe pleasantly surpriced to find that it leaks from the filter , maybe u havent put the o ring on ? maybe its not done up proply . i find it hard to believe it leaks from the seal that much so quick . anyhow u dont have to remove the donk to replace the seal , its readily avail from nissan and its not expensive , like 20 -30 $ . a full gasket set for the engine is around 300 - 330 $. i hope its leaking from the filter save u $ , hey its almost impossible to remove the filter without spiling some oil on the skylines . when i change mine in the gtr i put a huge rag under it then undo it so the oil goes on the rag then i quickly try to turn it up so i dont spill it , its hard though , a little easier on the the gtst , u have more room there . anyway good luck and let us know what the prob is .
  12. front crank seal it sounds like . u can get to it by pulling radiator timing case cover and crank pulley . i'm surpriced it went suddenly though it must have been leaking for a while .
  13. i dont know what master - slave u can use but i know if u want lighter pedal u need bigger slave or a smaller master cil and keep in mind that the travel will increase as well . its cheaper to get a new slave , u have to see what size the one u have on is and get a couple sizes bigger then the pedal will be lighter , how light it gets it will depend on the slave cil size the bibber the slave the lighter the pedal .
  14. jimih u must have some clutch on that r32 ! anyway to lighten u r clutch u need either smaller master cil or bigger slave cil or both . a vac assisted one from gtr 32 or 33 will do the job as well but u'll still have the breaking prob unless u reinforce it . puck clutches are always going to be lighter than full face .
  15. crazyman , i hope u didnt bent any valves but from past experiance sorry to say but i think u'll find at least 2 bent if the car was going a lot more . dont forget belts just age it doesnt matter how many k's on the clock i would change or at least inspect a 5 - 6 yo belt regardless of the k's . again crazyman i hope u didnt bent any valves
  16. u'll probably find that a refill with filter on the rb 20 is 4 - 4.2 lts u can never get all the oil out .
  17. i wouldnt use anything just do them up with a torque rench
  18. its the drive on ur starter motor , it doesnt retract as soon as u let the key go , cleaning and grease may fix it . it maybe worn bush though ( the little bush at the end near the drive , change that and it should fix the prob .
  19. if u r oil pressure is realy high ( have it checked with a good pressure gauge ) the pressure release valve maybe stuck , its on the oil pump . if u r gauge is reading right 8=112 psi thats to high .
  20. if u have a thermo electric fan its a must that the air cond fan goes on when u put the air on , cause the thermo fan only goes on when the engine gets hot and for a very short time .
  21. there should be a plug that plugs on the compressor ( 2 pin i think ) u maybe able to see it from under the car or put u r hand from under the car and try to feel it . if i remember right its on top , if u take the airbox off u 'll see it i'm sure , if u cant find it let me know and i'll have a look in the gtr and post back . how come u want the fan to go on when the air is on ? not necessary on the skyline cause u have a clutch fan , unlike front drives that have electric fans . isnt the air cond efficient ? or does the car overheat ?
  22. it should be on the comp itself , if u cant find it post again and i'll have a look for u .
  23. shane , how much fuel do u put in after 450 k's thats more important than the ks u get . i can get up to 450 on the r33 gtr ( exhaust 1 bar boost ) but usualy around 380 -400 but thats dry tank 62-65 lts to fill .
  24. u'll find a plug on the air cond compressor tap on to that
  25. supra , u can get the gtst to stock gtrs power very easy but where do u get the traction to keep up with it ? and how many gtrs do u know that are stock ? u dont need to do much to a gtr to run low 12's . why not just buy a gtr ? to run 18 psi on 2 turbos u need each one to run 18 psi , 9psi each = 9 psi not 18 .
