All R33 GTR airboxes are the same, no other R33 airbox is the same or will fit. R 34 GTR airbox is the same as 33 but the airguide is different. R34 GTR airguide can be fitted to R33 GTR but not the other way around . I hope that helps you .

You must be talking about the none turbo 4.2 landcruiser, right? Turbos have plenty of grunt, even more than the 4.7 v8 and they have the same appointments as the petrol , no difference at all. On the other hand you can buy poverty pack 4.2 none turbos and you are correct in saying they are slugs . 4WD's on gas towing heavy loads can use gas at a freightening rate like 30+ltrs per 100km, so the price advantage is all gone!! This is the reason all heavy trucks are turbo diesels !! I wouldn't buy a diesel car and I wouldn't buy a petrol 4WD to use for towing or heavy off-road and sand use . Landcruisers are very reliable trucks, i did 250k k's ( lots of heavy towing as well) in mine in 9 years with only routine servicing even the orinal clutch lasted the distance .... the 100 series is the 4th landcruiser I own and I will replace it shortly with the 200 series when it goes on sale the end of the year . She will also be a turbo diesel, twin turbo 4.5lt v8...

Mick has spend $30k and it cost him zero for labour !!! You are right you can't buy N1 or GT blocks, even the days that you could you would be paying $3-$4 K for N1, much more for the Nismo GT. You can always try to cut corners then re-do the whole thing again. Sometimes you don't even cut corners and you still have troubles .

Are you sure the noice doesn't increase when the engine warms up? If it increases then its probably big end bearings .

Some good advice in above posts and I will add from experience here, go the jap stroker kit you will not regret it but you may end up with a cracked block if you use a standard 5u block with that much power . If you are looking for anything above 300-350 awkw ( genuine, not just in number) you should use a better block , a 24u or even a RRR block. Unfortunately they are hard to find and very expensive.. If you want over 400 kw you should be looking at a gearbox and clutch at the very minimum . Now you can see that high powered GTRS are bottomless pits .

As SteveL pointed out above duty and GST is payable on all items that cost above $1000 ( invoice price). The use the exchange rate at the day of shipping ( the day it leaves the last Japanese port, sea or air) to culculate the Aussie $ value. It it is over $1000 then you will pay 10% import duty on the total invoice value and any shipping cost INSIDE Japan, you add all that to the invoice value then add the shipping cost to AUS and you pay 10% GST on all that . As you say you declared it at under $1000 so you should't pay anything but customs may pull you up and ask for an invoice and or proof of payment ( credit card electronic tranfer or any other paymaent that you made) . Now you can see why its not a good idea to declare it for lees than the invoice cost. Ahh and don't post it on a public forum either, you never know who is reading this !!! More than likely you wont get pulled up but if you do you are in big trouble, people have had expensive cars confescated and prosecuted by customs. They loose the car pay the penalty ( could be jail)and they have a crimminal record . I hope it doesn't happen to you .

Best tow vehicles are turbo diesel 4WD's, they are not cheap to buy though. I tow a 3.2 t boat with 100 series 4.2lt turbo diesel landcruiser, no probles at all, I had a 80 series landcruiser turbo before that, again excellent tow vehicle. They will provide you with a resonable fuel ecconomy as well . I use about 15-18 lts per 100km , the same landcruiser towing your 180sx ( should be about 2 t) will return about 13-15 lts per 100 km . Don't be tempted to use petrol 4WD's , they will send you broke on fuel (25-30 lts per 100 km). The commie will tow in either 6 or V8 form and so will the falcon ( better than the commie because it has leaf rear springs ). the problem with these car type utes is that the tow bar is bolted on sheet metal so you always worry if the tow bar is still there, especially if you use a weight distribution hitch and you should .

About 140-150 nm , 110 ft/lbs is about right , don't forget it has to be very tight , I use locktite as well.

Yes it will fit . Trooper, If you think they are stolen or something like that, rest assured they are NOT. Between me and Mick we have a total of 7 sets of R34 gtr rims and 2 sets of aftermarket rims .

My bad, you are are right 452 is a good tyre. I was thinking of the 512 wich is very similar to 326, both crap . Chris, I prefer the ST 115 over the FK451, had them both on a 33 GTR but the ST115 was 18" and the FK451 17" so maybe that had something to do with it . I had the ST115 on a rex a few years ago and that was good as well. I found them holding better when half worn.

If your only problem is the tacho, you can replace just it . Very easy to R+R the cluster .

452 and 326 are about the same . 451 are good and so are St 115 ( now superseeded ). You will find the SP9000 are good .

They would look great on the silver 32. Is that 2 pack paint ? If the above were 18x10, they would be in my car/garage by now to add to our collection but 9" not wide enough ..
