  1. What size are you looking for?
  2. Blow-by. Don't forget you could have very little bore marking ( from very fine dust) and still have perfect compression because the oil blocks it however a leakdown test will show it.
  3. I have a set in Sydney .
  4. Not likely but I guess its possible. I have never seen it happen.
  5. Different test, it will give you a % of cylinder leakage and you can even hear where its coming from the top end or bottom end . They are both accurate if done properly, with leakdown test it makes no difference what the comp ratio is , so even if she has a thick gasket , a good angine should have very little leakdown .
  6. Looks the same as most Nissan cars of that age, Late model S14, N15 series II and so on .
  7. A thicker h/gasket will decrease compression because the compression chamber is bigger. Compression numbers will depend on a few things , like how it was done , warm engine, cold engine, WOT and finaly the gauge itself . From the numbers you posted it doesn't look good because of the variance ( 3+6 =120 4= 130) I know the varaince is within Nissan specs but to great for my liking . Why use a thicker h/gasket to lower comp so much??? A leakdown test will confirm the condition of the engine, under 5% leakdown = excellent engine , above 25% = rebuild or dodgy past rebuild .
  8. Different steering wheel on series II and different dash around the h/unit suround. The year and month that was made should be on the Aussie compiance plate as well.
  9. I have one in sydney with the airguide, if you are keen P.M. with an offer , airbox is in excellent condition ..
  10. There are a few threads about this, do a search and you will find plenty to read about it ...
  11. Its the exhaust wheel that lets go, the compressor wheel is NOT ceramic.
  12. I don't know about you dude but I have owned several GTRS , I still have 2 in my garage and whats more , I can't remember how many times I have built an RB26 . Having said that I'm definitely NOT an expert, I just post facts, what I have seen with my own eyes.
  13. I have a 34 GTR exhaust for sale . http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p;#entry2904273
  14. Still looking for a new home..

    Sorted

I have one you can have it cheap but I have no idea if it works looks fine though and you are welcome to try it if you like .
  16. At least he will get to blow it up himself, I didn't , someone else did it for me . I think even then he won't believe he will think his pistons melted, maybe to much carbon?? He will try to find something to blaim other than the ceramic shit of the exhaust tubo wheel..
  17. I know I cant convince you you try to find a reason to say they are melted , I know they are not. I told you I have seen plenty melted pistons in real life I don't need to look at pics . If you want to see waht they look like in real life just go to any outbord workshop , you will see plenty there .. End of story .
  18. I'm telling you exacly how it happened dude , if you dont want to believe it its your choice. What difference does it make if the pistons were cleaned or not? Of course its on both sides of the piston once it gets in the cylinder do you think it will stay put in one place ? The stuff was everywhere, some of it even got on the other 3 cylinders but tha main damage was in the rear 3. Have you ever seen what happens to the exhaust wheel blades when it snaps off? Do a search on this forum and you will find pics . Unfortunantely I dont have mine ..... I have seen enough pistons in my life time to know a melted piston, I have seen plenty of melted pistons as well , especially on 2 stroke marine outbords. I have seen plenty with busted ringlands too. It doen't matter how many pics I give you , I know I can't convince you but I'm sure one day you will find out for yourself as long as you keep your ceramic pistons ....
  19. Yes I do and as you can see they are not melted at all, you can see the little pieces spiking up . If you don't accept that just ask others in this very forum that have had it happen to them. I have my theory of how and why it happens on RB26's but I won't go in to that now . You are the odd one out this time, when this happened to me there were heaps like you that didn't believe. The pistons in that pic were only a few months old, if you knew anything about pistons you should be able to tell that they are 20 thou oversize. It can be clearly seen in the pic ( .50 ) on the top of the piston . The car that engine was in was mine at the time and no I wasn't driving it , I didn't get the pleasure of blowing it up. Only got the pleasure of re-building the engine. You are more than welcome to inspect the pistons yourself if you like but I know its not going to convice you ..
  20. Another none believer , ah well you will find out the hard way dude . When this happened to the car with that engine( r33 GTR) a few years ago nobody would believe it either but today most people know about and soon you will find out too. well actualy I hope you don't. I still have the pistons in the pic in my posesion ( I have shown them to heaps of people over the years). If you think the pistons are melted , well I'm never going to convince you dude. You can see the ceramic bits imbeded on the top of the pistons , they are still there . Not hard at all to do a high 11 second pass on stockers mate , I have done it on a heavier R33 gtr, I have also done a 12.2 on a stock R33 GTR with just exhaust and power f/c . My R34 M-spec, much heavier that any 32 or 33 has a 11.8 @ 118 mph and only has about 260awkw . I know if I put on another dyno I can get 300 though . Kw on a dyno doesn't mean all that much because you can very the dyno to suit if you wish to do so . Have a good look at this:
  21. Have a good look at the 3 pistons dude, can you see the scoremarks in the pic? They are totaly stuffed on the other hand the 3 front ones were very slightly scored. but because a lot of stuff was sucked in in that engine , the pistons and the head has pits and ceramic stuff stuck in them . Compression on the 3 rears wa svery low, I cant remember of hand but around the 40-60 psi mark. There was no need to do a comp test in that engine, I just did it to see the resaults, the front 3 had normal comp at about 165 but if I did a leakdown even they would have had plenty loss.
  22. Up you go
  23. P.M send , please get back to me ASAP , the latest by tonight to confirm that you want them. If I don't hear from you by tonight they will be offered to the next person that wants them ..
  24. Thanks for the comments jimX, i think they are well priced cionsidering they retail for $795.00 and they are almost new. If I can't get that I'll just keep them for spares for my car.. phatboi2010, They wont suit Rb20 mate, you will need DIS-001 for your car and GTRS up to series III R33. These will suit RB25 from 95 on and RB26 R34 only.
  25. Lots of questions and offers but still no sale, the first one with $490 gets them.
