  1. What about R34 GTR rims?
  2. As long as you have a clear vision of the sky , it will be able to give you it's location, if it's in container it won't work but then it will give you the last known location. Same when you go in a tunnel or underground car park, it will give you the location of the point where it disappears.
  3. No it's not , it's ezitrak: http://www.ezitrak.com.au/ Check their site if you like, if you are interested give Micheal a call on 0419 126 206.
  4. That is a mirror heater switch ( it heats up the 2 exterior mirrors) and its located on the right side of the steering wheel. This is not a guess its fact , the reason i say this is because you are going to switch it on and probably nothing will happen. I hear you say why? Because the compliance shop have changed the the glass in the mirrors ( because they dont comply, no "E" mark on them ) , the heaters are on the actual glass!!! If you take one of the mirrors off you will see the lug there going nowhere.
  5. We have them in our cars, the only on-going cost $9 per month for the sim-card, the other one no cost unless calls are made . It uses GPS to lacate the car and GSM to call you, if it moves, someone opens the door, starts it , cuts the main battery or even low battery ( bellow a pre set volt value). Much better system that QT as it has unlimited cover as long as it is above ground ..
  6. A lot harder these days i think, my guess is they will end up in parts, here or O/S .
  7. Sorry to hear mate , i feel sorry for you as i know you spend a few $ on my old car and she was in good nick. Yes they are liable, you can either claim your insurance or sue BEL, their insurance should cover it .
  8. The headlights are the same ..
  9. Fast that one Kris to see what you come up with .
  10. I wonder how come most people don't know where the vin is. You will always find it on the firewall and you want the Nissan number not the one they stick on here at compliance . Here is an example :
  11. I bet when it came to Australia only had 30-40k k's ......somehow they all loose k's from the time they leave Japan until they are registered ..... i have seen it plenty of times, example a car is sold at auction in Japan with 120k k's by the time it gets here it only has 40k k's ..
  12. I wonder how come and it has so many k's? Usually GTR's only have 30k k's this one must have done 100k k's here . Looks clean in the pics and priced to sell . I wonder what he means by private import, does he mean personal import ? Maybe he just says that because it came to Australia second hand ?
  13. Well thats probably a series III with the xenons removed for compliance . How long has it been in the country? The reason i ask is because under the old system you wouldn't have to remove the xenons, only under sevs . Have a look at the front lip/brake ducts and the front left ( passengers side)blinker grill, as i said they are different in the III, what about the fuse box cover? What month 97 ? The red light is NOT reverse light, its a fog light.
  14. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=145115 Dude if this is the car , looks like its a series II with series III seats, looks like its not a V-spec either. I knew i forgot something series III cars have a rear fog light as well, so only one reversing light.
  15. Much the same as series II Richo.
  16. In this case you don't need accurate reading, you can do a cold test , you will see if all the cylinders are the same. First do a cold test, if they are all the same , start the engine warm it up and do a proper test . Leakdown test would be good too.
  17. You don't use rattle guns because the bolts/nuts are to tight or to hard to undo . You use them because you want to do a quick job or because you can't hold it , like a wheel nut ( wheels of the ground) or a harmonic balancer. It will be very hard to get the rattle gun on to your exhaust nuts too. It will be very easy to snap the old exhaust studs with a small bar, if they are hard to move apply some heat on to them with the oxy, it works every time. If you don't have oxy you can use a big L.P, gas torch to get it as hot as possible or use WD40 but carefull WD40 will catch alight!!!
  18. Very little should come out of the rear of the box but if you dont block the pipe that comes from the rear it will keep coming out . Don't forget to bleed the sydtem when you put the box back in, i've seen plenty with air in them after the had a clutch change
  19. Yes it is if someone has changed them, only series III had red seats. You can fit xenons to any 33 GTR ( with a slight mod) but they are very expensive even second hand in Japan. Halogens are O.K. as long as they are not converted xenons and you can make them a lot brighter by feeding 14 volts to them direct and use a rely to trigger them on. There are a few little other differences in the series III as well. the front lip is different ( lower ) than S II and S I and the brake ducts are thicker. The front passengers blinker /vent is different , the fuse box cover has GTR on it, thats all i can think of now but i'm sure i missed something . As Geoff said the struts are harder and about 5mm lower than none V-spec, Attessa pro, ALSD and the cluster and finned diff.
  20. I have a set ( 4) of R34 GTR rims, excellent condition ( no gutter marks on them at all and very clean ), optional 4x265x35x18 Toyo tyres, about 50-60% tread left . Wheels only $2450, $300 for the tyres . In Sydney , either Pyrmont or Hills for inspection and pick up . Will pack and send interstate at buyers expense ( wheels should be about $60-80 to melbourne or Brissy). Payment by cash on pick up or D/D for interstate buyers . Email : wrxhoon@yahoo.com , ph: 0408 973 245
  21. I have a 60 mm HKS gauge in Sydney.
  22. Still looking for a new home
  23. What a lot of bulldust, you are at fault (or your G/F in this case) because it was you that caused the BM hit the other car. The Bm didn't do anything wrong, if it was a hard hit and say the car in front of the Beemer hit another car and it another and so on you are responsible for all of them . Seek some legal advice by all means but i can tell you, NRMA will get their $12 big ones from you + all legal costs if you deside not to pay or to fight it in court .
  24. D I think you will find when Ronald open the first retaurant in Sydney ( Yagoona) in December ( i think) 1971 petrol was still sold in gallons and it was well and trully lower than 20 cents per lt at around 50 cents a gallon!!
  25. All that but still no petrol for 20c per lt, that would be before you was born !!
