  1. Correct but some can take both sides of the road, more of them these days . You don't have to run the risk to prove it either just look for the marks on the road, they are 1.5 metres appart and the device measures the time it takes your car to cover the 1.5 mts. Thats how it works out the speed you are travelling, keep in mind there are lots of them that are faulty as it has been proven in the past . One that comes to mind is: The top of Spit rd, catching busses and heavy trucks doing 70-80kmh up the steep hill. The busses later proved that they could only manage 30-40 kmh up that Hill.
  2. Well i sold mine (R33GTR) in 2days , now that not a long time at all and let me tell you it wasn't $25 k either... I would advice you to have a few $k spare when you buy a cheap GTR just in case .......You never know you may need to rebuilt the donk...even if ithasd 30-40k k's on the clock.
  3. More than likely it has a very slight knock already ........ so one or two thousand easy k's i would say...much less if hard driven.
  4. I put my hard earned on cooler a cooler pipe as well.
  5. Andrew , only series III had red inserts, series II are blue but series II+III have the same audio surround and steering wheel. Passengers airbag was standard on SII+III but option and SI.
  6. I bet it was only driven on Sundays, 100 yo owner never revved past 2000, never had an accident , rust or a panel repainted !!!
  7. You are not going to pull the engine out and strip it just to replace the rings, they are very cheap though about $220 from Nissan , cheaper aftermarket, pistons about $700-800 from Nissan, cheaper aftermarket , gasket set $300 from Nissan, timming belt $100 , water pump $130, bearings $250 , oil pump $500. Then you have all the machining and labour to r+r the engine, strip and re-assemble. All up from about $6k up , depending on what parts you use and what you find when you strip the engine. First its going to cost you heaps in labour and secondly if the rings are stuffed more than likely a lot of other stuff will need replacing as well. A full rebuild is on the cards for you
  8. ? Standard slave is 3/4" and Nismo is 13/16" diameter( about 8.5% bigger) . When you use the Nismo slave the pedal will feel a little easier to push as well.
  9. A bigger slave will make the take up a little more gradual, the low or high take up point can be ajusted . A Nismo slave is a little bigger and will help a little , it won't feel as sudden ( the take up).
  10. Are you saying that it runs perfect for the first 10-15 minutes? Then you get the miss? Or the miss is there all the time now ? If only when hot , coil packs /ignitor, if all the time make sure you havent blown a cooler pipe and the airflow meters pick it up and dump heaps of fuel in, in this case you would see all the black smoke at the back and car won't have any power at all.
  11. Got one in Sydney, PM an offer if you are interested.
  12. I have a pair in Sydney, one blown one good with actuators . Make an offer
  13. Cost will depend on what needs to be done and what you want done but $2000 is a little over the top . I would want it gold plated for that . For $20 per cyl( $120 for RB26) you can have it bored and honed, if you want it done with a torque plate add another $80-$100 acid dipping will set you back another $40 and crack testing another $40-$50, deck it and it will cost you another $30-40. Don't forget if you put it in acid you must change all the welsh plugs !! As you can see that doesn't add up anywhere near $2k.
  14. I'll take 5 as well Duncan at that price, you would be very lucky to find any RB26 blocks anywhere . Of course there is nothing wrong with oversize pistons as long as the bore is machined to suit with the correct piston to bore clearance. Even Nissan sell +.5mm(86.5mm) and +1 mm(87mm) pistons .
  15. Back to the top.
  16. I thought you sold it a while ago, leather pack but no brembos . She was parked in the visitors parking where i have a parking spot..
  17. Spotted SKY350, silver V-35 parked in Pyrmont this arvo, i wonder if you are on here .
  18. I think you will find your computer ( stocker) cuts boost to actuator pressure because its leaning out up high to prevent engine damage . You will find if you was running stock boost that wouldn't happen.
  19. It will fit, i dont know how much lower it will be , its just stock GTR ..
  20. Anyone wants the HKS kit?
  21. Still for sale
  22. Refer to post 14 by me, thats correct, you dont need to check numbers , if you have the turbos off the car put a pic up showing the exhaust side and i'll tell you what they are . Not sure if R32 V-spec II's had N1 turbos but i don't think they did, maybe someone that has a 32 V-spec II can confirm this . As for the 33's you are correct, they all had ceramic , only the N1 cars had the steel wheel turbos . One more thing there are about 4 different R34 GTR N1 turbos ...
  23. And why are v-spec II's better than M-specs? Do you know the difference ?
  24. I think you will find that all serries II 34 GTRs have the same brake rotors not just V-spec IIs.
