  1. How low is low? At what RPM? Has he checked the pressure with a mechanical gauge? Don't rely on the stock gauge. Stuffed oil pump at 20,000 ks? How does he know she has only done 20k k's? If it was a spun bearing it would be making a racket, you would know even if it's grabed and wasn't spun yet. Engine out for pump replacement thats for sure, unless you drop the subframe. While its out a complete rebuild ( you will need it if the pump has failed ).
  2. I have a drivers side xenon.
  3. I was going to put some pics up but i already sold them pending payment on the weekend . If it falls through i'll let you guys know, thanks for the interest.
  4. Atf, dextron III is fine for the transfer case( Nissan will sell you matic-d ). Use the same stuff for the attessa reservoir in the boot. If you want go an oil company's website and see what they recommend. You need about 1.8 lts from memmory . Put some gear oil in the g/box, start it up and listen for bearing noise, if its quiet its all good ..
  5. I would never use that option, get the oxy out and give it some heat. Unless you have a big tattle gun ( at least 3/4") i can put a lot more force with a braker bar.
  6. Really? I thought it was auto, that would explain the low mph for the E.T.
  7. All you need is a decent size breaker bar, they can be tight but i never have any problem undoing them with a 400mm breaker bar. If you are in sydney give me a p.m. and i'll undo it for you .
  8. If you filled it through the shifter you have filled the TRANSFER case with redline, i hope you havent been driving it for to long, you wouldn't have much oil in the g/box! Thats why you have oil everywhere, your trasfer case is overfilled and not oil gone in the box. Drain the tansfer case, refill with atf and fill the g/box with whatever gear oil you prefer ( it takes about 3.8 lts) . Fill to the fill hole ( until it starts to run out ) both the transfer case and the box.
  9. I think its still auto.
  10. White face, 7 thousand something k's . I'll put some pics up as soon as i can .
  11. I have a 320km Nismo cluster to suit a 33GTR and matching 3 centre gauges. Looking to sell on exchange basis only, if you don't have stock cluster and centre gauges no deal. Looking for $500 for both exchange.
  12. If you have a stock engine i wouldn't use big turbos ( its not going to last you long). I have GTSS'S in my 34, all stock low k's, unopened engine, just exhaust and power f/c, just a little laggier than stock turbos, if you believe dynos ( i don't, they all read different) she made 289rwkw @16 psi. There is different spec R34 N1's..
  13. They are a little bigger than stockies and will spool up a little later with good mid range and a little more than stockies up top .
  14. HKS turbos are made by garrett as well, if they ahve HKS on them they are HKS not N1. HKS GTSS are almost as responsive as stockers, 2530's are much bigger. If it has a oil catch can and its vented it wont make any difference to the revs when you take the oil cap off. If it doen't it should.
  15. Its not to far to drive to Germany, perfect roads and no speed limit there . I thought you could register right or left hand drive there ...
  16. Go to RAW that does r33's, they have them .
  17. Let me guess, Chinese globes? They are crap. I had German globes at home ( 12volt downlights) , after 10 years use some started to go. I bought a pack (10) chinese globes because they were only a couple$ each ( the original German globes cost me about $10 each) to my surprise the new globe burned out after about a month!! I did a re-wire job on my old 33GTR, i also made it so the low beam stay on when i switch to high beam, very bright light and no problem burning globes. Don't forget they are designed to work with the cars voltage ( about 14 V), when wires get old and corroded they have more resistance so you have more voltage drop.
  18. Even if you used 100 watt globes they wont be as bright as the 55's because you still have the problem (voltage drop)
  19. Check the voltage on your battery, if its healty it should be around 13.8 then start the car, it should be above 14 volt. Of course the globes will last a lot longer if you only put 6 volt through them but you will have very little light.
  20. They have done in the USA..
  21. No, why would they, if the electrical system works well thats what you should have .. Even the battery has around 13.8 ( fully charged).
  22. If you think your engine is still good do a compression and leakdown test, you maybe surpised with the results.
  23. I think you may find out you get a voltage drop. Check with a multimeter the voltage on the wire that powers the globe ( with lights on), if you drop to say 12 volt or less run a thick wire to the lights and use a rely to switch it on. You will notice the difference when you have 14 volts there it will be like daylight.
  24. The best option would be to find a used set of xenons and then sell your halogens to someone that wants to comply their car.
