  1. The 2.5 lt sti has less power than the 2.0 lt sti sold in japan and its a lot slower . The jap sti has around 240 kw at the fly and its good for 12.8 1/4 mile the model sold here and in the usa will only do 13.7 1/4 . The subaru 2.5 lt is not a very hot engine and will not rev like the 2.0 either . Its a bit like the rb25 + rb26 . 157kw at all 4 its heaps more than 151 at the rears and no stock gtst can go near the stock sti ( any model sti that is ) .
  2. they must take the balsts out and you have to kepp the halogen globes , not replace tem with xenos again . If you are in sydney send me a p.m .
  3. I have a series II bnr34 and i have a power f/c , just pull the stock ecu out and install the power f/c . No problem with the immobiliser , it has its own computer that enables the cars main ecu . I dont want to tell you on here how it works but if you want to know pm and i'll tell you .
  4. I have a pair , drivers side perfect , pass side has broken plastic brackets , can be plastic welded . I'm in sydney , make me an offer for one or both .
  5. Adam , I cant help because i wont be at home but a couple of tips mate : Hire a table top not a ute , it will be much easier and you will need 4 people one on each corner and the bloody pallet weighs about 5o kg if it is a standard 46"x46" so all up a bit over 200 kg . It would be heaps easier with an engine crane if you can get your hands one one .
  6. This is the communication i had with this dickhead , as you can see as soon as i asked him for his licence he backed out ( sold to someone else ) Hi Jerry, i have been given $600 as an offer to sell them both off. if that falls through i will contact you if you are still interested. thanks >From: jerry <[email protected]> >To: "Mr T. C." <[email protected]> >Subject: RE: h/lights >Date: Sun, 30 Oct 2005 03:47:03 -0800 (PST) > >$580 is fine with me . > >One little problem you have only been on here for a week so how do iknow >you are going to post them to me ? >I would need a copy of your drivers licence before i would d/d funds to >your account + more pics , close ups showing the rear of the lights and the >brackets ( little ones on top of the light ) to see that they are not >cracked /broken . > >Cheers , Jerry > >"Mr T. Nismo Lm-gt4

You can buy them for about 250-270,000 jpy per set .
  9. If you bought a new Nismo Twin plate (super coppermix ) you should have everything you need in the kit . You should have a new flywheel , release bearing and the clutch /pressure plate assembly , thats all you need as long as you have the corect clutch for the R32 gtr . They even give you new flywheel bolts. It should be a push clutch , only late model 32's had pull clutches . If you want a lighter pedal and more feel to it you can get a Nismo slave cil as well ( they are slightly bigger ) . I would get a new spiggot bush as well , yours is 15 years old , they are only about $14 from Nissan . I hope you have a hoist , its doable on the floor but fairly hard , hopist and trany jack make life much easier .
  10. . BTW A bigger master cylinder is going to be heavier. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes you are right my mistake , smaller master will make it lighter and biggger slave will make it lighter . Big master + small slave makes pedal heavier . It sounds like you may have a problem with the pressure plate .
  11. If thats the case you will need either a bigger clutch master cilinder or a smaller slave cil or both . A smaller slave will make the pedal heavier , a bigger master will make the pedal lighter ( with the same slave ). If the system has air in it when you pump the pedal several times it will push the slave more , if there is no air it wont make any differance . Was the clutch new or used ? If the clutch was new and you used the master and slave from the 33 that clutch belong to it should work .
  12. Duncan is on the money , i may add you dont need to disconnect the rod to ajust the pedal height . Is the pedal now as heigh as the brake pedal ? When you install a new clutch you dont have to bleed the hydrolics , you dont have to touch them at all .
  13. Plenty , anyone cought on the silver eagle radar , especialy in metro areas should ask for compo form the cops . Silver eagle is the one in the police car with the aerial on the roofracks of the car , not as they say in SMH " radar gun " , the one the officer points at you thats a laser gun and it is DIFFERENT to silver eagle .
  14. Guys have a look at this article i found on the Sydney morning herald . http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/ticket...0823397654.html
  15. No they are not the same .
  16. What are you up to Adam ? Do you need rods as well ? Andrew even if you buy a new crank you have to check it to make sure its straight , i have seen new cranks that are not straight , not saying he should buy used just the facts .
  17. You can tell if your key has a chip in it , they are different . The best way to tell is go to a locksmith and show them your key they will know , some of them can program them as well , much cheaper than Nissan .
  18. Go to a happier dyno than the one you are using now , its that easy .
  19. You will have to use a proper temp gauge onboth coolant and oil to see what temp you have , not just guesswork , you cant go on the stock gauge either .
  20. They are the same and interchangeable , all gtts that i have seen have xenons as well as all Gtrs .
  21. It will work on the 33 no problem , they don't have the immobiliser chip . Some 34's do some don't , all 34 gtrs that i have seen have the chip in them . You can buy the 34 gtr key from Nissan then have it cut to suit your lock but you will have to program it to suit your immobiliser ring , Nissan will charge you $50- 100 to do it .
  22. Nissan, i just checked my invoice $120.39+ gst =132.43 , well thats close to $130 but thats trade price , about $150 including gst retail . If you want one and you cant get trade give me a p.m. and i can order one for you .
  23. Timing belts should be changed every 100 k k's or 5 years wichever comes first , thats what most car makers recomend . They will usualy last a lot longer but you cant take the risk. In wrx's they should be changed every 4 years and some diesel landcruisers every 150k k's or 7.5 years but they have a short and thick belt . 10 years out of a belt you are asking for trouble , just look at your driving belts ( air cond, alt+ power steer ) if they are 10 years old you will see tiny cracks on them .
  24. Pits have long lost their appeal because they are very dangerous , i wouldn't even think of having one in mine . If you want a hoist and you have plenty $ to spare the japs have fully recessed in the ground so you can drive over them as if they wern't there . A normal 2 post hoist acn be had for less than $2000 second hand and they are very handy to have , dont bother with with a 4 post or drive ons , minimum height 3.6 meters . You can install the hoist anytime as long as you have the power there .
  25. You can get an rb26 r33 water pump for about $130 , depending on the age of your r32 you may have to modify it a little to fit it , otherwise they are the same as the 32 pump.
