  4. . You saying they come here like that, then part of the compliance is to replace it with the normal mirror? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Correct , the jap cars mirrors dont comply with adrs because , wait for it , they dont have the "E" mark on them . Jap cars exported to australia as new cars do comply with adrs . I have a convex mirror on mine , actualy i have a drivers side one as well .
  5. Go to any raw compliance place that do 34's , they have to replace them with flat ones . Just ask them for the orginal they take off.
  6. Go through the thread someone has bought some .
  7. 1) They are not deep cycle , they are gelcell . 2)Dont know 3)they dont say , they only say the 40a/h 4)I cant offer you a warranty as it is a wholesale price
  8. What was your 60ft time and trap speed ?
  9. If you can prove that it's his fault ( sometimes very hard ) then he should pay fro everything including the tow . If he replaced the timing belt it maybe esier to prove . If he refuses you can go to fair trading .
  10. I wont be there but good luck , i will be there in 2-3 weeks , i want to run my clutch in before i go .
  11. Agree Gary but thats the risk that i choose to take . I feel that its better to keep them cooler . Iwells , no bad feelings here buddy i was just commenting on your reply , i have no problem with anyones comments and if i did i wouldn't reply .
  12. I never said he has to have it off permanantly and i wouldn't leave mine off either ( i can assure you mine is always on ) its there for various reasons . When he put the gears on he has to take it to a tuner with a dyno to adjust them so there is no point in puting the cover back on until all that is done , is there ? Of cousre he is intitled to do whatever he wants but if you remember he asked for help and i offered , he can take it or leave it , up to him . As for the spark plug cover i leave mine off as well , it may save my coil packs from getting very hot and breaking down ( common problem with these engines ).
  13. You have to have the cover off to ajust the cam gears . if you had it off for a year and it didnt hit there must have been washers there and you droped them when you took the CAS off .
  14. Mount Druitt , but you wouldn't want to live there ... Sydney is more expensive than Melbourne , just add 20-25% to a compareable Melbourne property .
  15. Stock boost if you dont want to blow them and the engine .
  16. Make sure you don't brake them when you are instaling them , check the clearances and if not within specs you have to reset them ( very slow and expensive exersize for you ) but they should be right . I take it you are talking about and rb 26 and you have some experience , if you dont be very careful and follow the workshop manual .
  17. You dont say in you reinstalled the front cover , if you havent thats your problem . You will need to use a washer /spacer in each bolt . The washers spacers have to be all the same thickness and about the same thickness as the the cover . Place washers /spacers on first then the cas then bolt it on and it will be fine . The next step is to time it with a timing light , if you dont have one try to put it back where it was before , drive easy and take it somewhere to ajust the timing then to a tuner to ajust the cam gear .
  18. Its doable but i would't do it , i would use 265x35 or 275x35 .
  19. $160 including post and insurance to your local p.o. , payment not needed until the batteries are here and redy to post , when i get them i will give yoiu the a/c details by pm . I know its a long thread but dont be lazy , read it and you will find out a lot about fitting them to your car .
  20. Its up and running and they have sighs as well .
  21. Kris , i'm busy this weekend but should be o.k for next week , give me a p.m. later on in the week and we could arange something . Have you desided on a trimmer yet ?
  22. Yes it is cameron $160 delivered to your local p.o. I think we have 5 now , can you all confirm that you still want them sometime over the weekend and then i will order them on monday , should have them here on tuesday or wed.
  23. Rb 25's have slightly different oil pressures . Idle 1 , @ 2000 rpm 3.5 and @ 6000 rpm 5.6 , the reason its lower than rb26 at idle is the idle speed is lower on the rb 25 . Thats how the oil gauges are slow to react , if you are worried get an aftermarket gauge . A lot of rb 26's that have restrictors fitted will have higher oil pressure .
  24. RB26 oil pressure at idle 1.5 , @ 2000 rpm 3 and @ 6000 4.6 , at normal oil operating temperature , oil takes longer to get to normal temp than coolant . Dont worry about cold temp pressure as it will vary depending on oil temp . Pressure will vary depending on oil used and age of oil as well .
