As I'm on leave and its time to mix it up a bit, I've again gone with a Jim Wendler style of program, I've also had a deload on all of the big 4 exercises. I've gone with the 8 6 3 range with a few accessories and some high rep fluff. I'm currently almost finished week 2 (6 reps) and it is going well, squats tomorrow may be a issue as I pulled a groin muscle being a idiot with the kids (trying to be the karate kid on the bag after a few Xmas beers). Multivitamin Krill oil with glucosamine ZMA Pre-workout: Coffee with creatine During: BCAA with some Blue PowerAde powder stuff Post: Protein and oats 49 Years 165 cm 85 kg (fat boy atm) Critique at will.

Aftermarket Steering Wheels
The Bogan replied to Whoa Black Boaty's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
The pic you posted has a quick release hub on it. Google NRG Gen 2.5 to see what I mean. The thief would need a compatible quick release and wheel to steer the car. Ill take a pic of mine in a sec. -
Car Crashed Into My Car
The Bogan replied to Whoa Black Boaty's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Ouch, its the same around here, idiots leaving the pub, lots of V6 and V8 skids, happily the gutters have lots of alloy covering them from wheels making contact with them. Over the last year at least 1/2 dozen idiots have put themselves on the foot path, luckily no one has been killed by the idiots. All I can say is don't park on the street if possible. -

A good slim boss with a good quality bearing quick release with a good quality steering wheel, steering wheel depth worked out with depth of boss and quick release. They cannot pinch my car if it doesn't have a steering wheel, well they can but it makes it damn hard. Good boss's and quick release's can be sourced of flea bay if you pick the right brands (beware there is some cheap trash out there), no name or replica steering wheels are rubbish. Apart from the usual suspects like Nardi and Momo, the only cheapish brand I believe that has any form of strength is Autotechnica ($150ish from Super Cheap). Some racing series don't like wood steering wheels because they are dangerous in a prang. Be aware that the centre of the steering wheel may need some form of padding to be legal, MOMO do a padded centre (hard to come by) as do Autotechnica. Suede is porn, I would have a suede wheel but with the roof down on the 5 the sun eats the suede, I am currently running a HKB short boss, NRG Gen 2.5 quick release with a padded centre 350mm Autotechnica leather wheel. Some boss kits are not universal and will only suit MOMO or Nardi style wheels. -
I use Maca with the green Natures own powder stuff. I like to think its a healthy mid morning drink. Its easy to use as the dry powders fit in a small Tupperware container so I can just throw it in my work or gym bag and make it up when I want. The taste is one that you get use to, the green stuff is nice but the maca's nutty flavour is fairly strong and almost overpowers the flavour. All up it works out to be about $1 per serve. Do I get results, not sure but I'm feeling healthy, don't need to strangle to many people and take a dump like clock work.

Ceramic Coatings - Dumps and Front Pipes.
The Bogan replied to R32 TT's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Joey, there's a joint in Moorebank called "Flame Coatings" that do industrial stuff, I spoke to them and they can do car parts, you just need to take it to them so they can see it to quote. Might be worth a look. -

Best people for pad questions are places like GSLRALLYSPORT. They will tell you what is best for your car for different conditions. They once told me not to use A1RM for street duties when I had the boat as initial cold bite isn't as good as others which may put you in a sticky situation when it comes time for some emergency braking on the street with cold brakes. Might mean the difference of missing a car or person by 1/2 meter or punching into a car or person for 1/2 meter. Ring and ask is my 2 cents. -
It might be a tumour, LOL

Sleep and stuff. Plasma TV are the worst from what I am told, but any bright thing be it TV or other bright screens will screw with your melatonin. Turn off and tune out at least 2 hours before bed. Don't have a big meal before bed. Swap out your high wattage globes around the house where you relax, low wattage in the loo as well, it only takes a short burst of bright light to put you into day mode. No TV or computers in your bed rooms, the bed room is a place for sleep and the only entertainment should be sexy time. Another good thing with this is you end up talking to and interacting with your family members instead of being a zombie staring at a screen which is another health benefit. Remember the old adage of "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy wealthy and wise". I feel sorry for shift workers that constantly work between 10pm and 6am , that is the most unnatural and unhealthy way to live. Me, I wakeup at least twice a night for a piss (no I don't have prostate cancer), I'm old and drink a shit tin of water.

How To Get More Power From A Naturally Aspirated (na) Engine
The Bogan replied to Eug's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Best mod for a n/a Skyline is to save money and buy something good later when your not limited by your licence. The car is to heavy, you will never achieve a good power to weight ratio. Put it this way, you can spend 10k to get 50hp on a n/a, while winding another 5 psi will net the same but cost a boost controller and tune on a boosted motor. Best mod would be tyres, handling. Unless your rich and can afford to piss money away. -

BTW, I use RDA slotted and dimpled rotors, the slots and dimples give the gases that build up on the face of the pad somewhere to go, thus increasing the friction efficiency. Or so the story goes. Plus the price is right when you can find them on sale on fleabay for $250 a set of front and rear delivered. -

Have a look at the specs of the TRW pads compared to the QFM ones. Also have a look at what the TRW pads come with standard. From my experience they are the best "street pad" I have ever used. And they are fairly cheap if you Google around. As for the A1RM pads squealing, I believe its due to light braking when on street duties, when mine started squealing I would "bed them in again" and they would be fine for while. And for the street the TRW have much better initial bite. A1RM are rated to 750 IIRC whilst the TRW are rated to 650. And always install new rotors if you are changing pad compounds. -
Just did some reading up, no wonder my face was tingling. Trust me to try something that has been found to make your brain bleed, give you high blood pressure and chance of stoke. Apparently its big with truckers and miners. No wonder it helped me get my rage on, I was on a drug fuelled happy fun slide. You can still get it if you don't mind the risk of death and/or having a stroke. Looks like its back to a strong coffee and banana for my pre-workout.

BN pre-workout has had a disclaimer thrown on it, it seems it has stuff that gives a positive drug reaction. I got some a while ago to see how pre-workouts were, as I get tested at work it looks like Ill have to bin it. On the BN stuff I had to cut the dosage to 2 grams mixed 10 grams of their BCAA, anymore and if taken after 1200 I would be up half the night. I did notice that the pre lift rage was easier to achieve when taking the 2 grams, 5 grams made my face tingle, LOL.

Grabbed some TRW Dtec pads installed on new RDA discs for the 5. Excellent grip from cold to hot, rated to 650deg so OK for a couple of happy laps. The Dtec is some low dust technology. Haven't tracked with them yet but they have not missed a beat in all road conditions. And no squealing. My opinion; Eats Bendix SRT alive Better that A1RM for mixed use as they are better from cold than them, don't sqeal and have less dust (the A1RM is a higher rated pad though) DISCLAIMER: The 5 doesn't really go fast enough for brakes anyway, LOL. -
I gave it a go for a couple of months, didn't notice anything at all. Sorry, I did notice something, it was money wasted.

Scored a brilliant soft top of a NA, the rear window has a zipper so now I have a flow of air through the car. -

Yeah I was stupid, it was taking up space so I got rid of it. I'm trying to do a straight swap with someone. I've had a few hopeful inquiries but most want to swap a torn up soft top with holes in it for the hard top. I can get one in good nick second hand for $500 complete with frame and rails, I may be better of selling it and then buying one but I thought that swapping would be the easiest way, my loss their gain. I'm willing to take a small hit for convenience but I'm not stupid (well not really stupid, maybe, don't ask the missus because she will most likely say I am) Give me convenience of give me death! -
