  1. 345 f and 335 r ATM, it has sagged 5mm from when it was last set, though I do have adjustable whiteline sway bars which may help, their set on the second hardest setting on the front and the hardest setting on the rear. Daily rims are R34 GTT and the tyres are 245/45 17, tyre slightly hits the plastic left inner guard on full lock, Ive put on 245/40 17 and they clear by about 5 mm. What size/offset rims and tyres you using ?
  2. 355 front and 345 rear is the recommended ride height for handling and correct suspension geometry if I remember correctly. Have a look in the old group buy thread by Sydneykid.
  3. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Hoosier&tireModel=D.O.T.+Drag+Radial Match up your rim width with a tyre that fits.
  4. Mate, if you want 2 x 235/45 17 tyres with about 70% tread for free pick them up, dont really have the time or desire to take pics.
  5. 70%
  6. Ive got 2 you can have for free, near liverpool.
  7. $700 in gel coat from BLITS BODY KITS in Queensland, I've had it at 220ish ( not really looking at speed, more so braking points because I'm a scaredy cat) at eastern creek so far, the bonnet latch has extra reo on it and Blits say you don't need pins. Best bet is to ring them and ask.
  8. It's made to comply with ADR and comes with a certification which has a serial number on the bonnet and the certificate matched to the vehicle, its all on the blits web site, to comply it needed to be tested, at and at least 3mm thick and have reinforcing. It's all written up in the ADR and the RTA website under fiberglass replacement panels.
  9. You will also need to learn a few phrases, "pull your head in you fool", "were you born stupid or were you dropped as a child", stuff like that. And you will more than likely use them on me...
  10. I like chicks, I like them cooking and washing and ironing and other stuff......... Dont take me to seriously mate, come to some trackdays, motorkhanas, drag days and stuff, thats where the funs at.
  11. You will pay a fortune for the fitting of custom metal flares if you cannot do it yourself, huge amount of metal work involved to have a good job so it doesnt have 20kg of putty filling in the seams. And on the note of wide body kits, what out were you take it if you go this way, last panel shop I went to had a S15 with the rear quarters cut out with a grinder and the rear guards mounted directely over the gap, giving the rear end the structural integrity of a wet paper bag. What size tyres are yo trying to get under the arches ??
  12. Ill be in the stands and pits yelling and grinning as usual, looking at the grid girls and stealing stickers, I hope they get some good Tshirts too as last years were non existant, 2010 were rubbish and fell apart but the 2009 ones are still going strong. Good luck with your builds guys, hope everyone goes well. Is it August yet ?????
  13. http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2162/article.html This is mine, blits fibre glass bonnet, legal and lighter than my stock R33 GTST bonnet, I was after something to maximise the flow through my I/C, radiator and oil cooler. AFAIK no carbon bonnet is legal and alot have the look but not the physics.
  14. But he only comes once a year....
  15. Sad to say that alot of people need cash fast and cannot afford to keep their cars, if your willing to low ball theres bargains to be had if your lucky and they need cash quick, Ive known guys who have come into some cash but then spent it all on crap, when its rego time theres no money and a car sitting in the driveway, I also know guys who search out these guys with a pocket full of cash. Unfinished project cars can be had for a pitance of there real value too, my mate picked up a clean HQ one tonner that needed paint for $500 from a guy that was being posted to Darwin, he had no room in his new residence for it, 2 months rego, a 307 with a powerglide, and HQ statesman front end, he had spent a ton of cash on it. Ive been hit myself with a AW11 MR2 which I was trying to sell before I went overseas, no takers at all untill a guy turned up wanting to buy the rims and some interior parts which he said he would pay $600 for, I told him he could have them for $600 if he took the car away. Some one sell me a clean VL for $500.......
  16. So does your missus................
  17. Clean it well with a wax and grease remover and apply a primer or it wont stick around the corners when the interior gets hot or you use the heater. I like the finish but was a bit hasty in the prep, it has come way from a few spots and I will need to do it again, maybe, Ive got access to a vinyl spray booth now so may do this instead.
  18. LOL, didnt look at plates, sorry. You guys should have a "PAY IT FORWARD" section over there like we do in the SAUNSW members section, we use it for parts that are gathering dust in the bowls of our garages and sheds, you put all your spares up for free but you get to pick other parts which you get for free, old school swap meet style. Someone give this man a S2 wing.
  19. If your in Sydney you can have my old silver S2 wing for a 6 pack of XXXX.
  20. LOL, Iran has no real navy to talk about, yes they have sea mine laying capabilitys but not much else, the only thing that will happen is they will upset their neighbours, which is political suicide, the place is bad enough as it is without aggravating their neighbours means of making money. As soon as a sea mine got layed I would make odds that that ship would be resting on the bottom within half a hour. It's sad that yet again innocent civilians and their defence forces lives are at risk because of their crazy leaders and their aspirations for power. Do we really need another unstable political regime with nuclear ambitions. A few well placed missiles wouldn't go astray, you could even do some black work and take out key figures, a bit more difficult but a lot less "collateral damage". I'm sure there some Arab nations that would agree, don't get in the way of the oil and cash flow unless you want to get run over.
  21. I think their Arab brothers will get them to tow the line, they want the dollars from export, Iran needs them for local support, I see it as territorial pissing.
  22. It's just unlikely F1 teams will de-engineer a car to go slower, I like driving manuals to but then I'm not racing for sheep stations in a billion dollar environment. Back on topicish, autos are good for the drags. And I'm loving this thread, its got everything.
